We had a really good stay here. The location is great. Chipotle is right across the street, Walmart…read moreis about a block away, Starbucks drive-thru is right next door, and there are several other places to eat nearby. Very convenient if you don't want to drive far for food. The staff were friendly and kind across the board, from the afternoon staff to the evening staff. Breakfast was just right, and the woman handling breakfast that morning, I wish I'd gotten her name, was great. She was taking care of breakfast while also doing double duty helping with housekeeping and rooms. When I went downstairs to ask for more towels, the morning staff was very accommodating. The only hiccup was checkout. We had requested a late checkout, and our app showed our checkout time as 4 p.m. But at 2 p.m., Dennis knocked on the door to tell me I had to leave. He was kind about it and explained that his manager had left notes saying we were supposed to check out at 2 p.m., not 4. The problem was that the change was never communicated to us. No email. No message. Nothing documented that we could see. All we had to go on was the app saying 4 p.m., and I had planned meetings that afternoon around that checkout time. So if you're staying here and request a late checkout, I would recommend confirming the time and getting it in writing before planning your day around it. Everything else about the stay was great. The communication mix-up at checkout was really the only thing that fell short.

Look at the picture with the Fireplace entrance and multiply that dated situation X 10 when it comes to hallways and everything in the room. If this were to close after today I'd have to ask why they waited. There another hotel in town by this chain so maybe they are better but definitely look at website photos and know that what the hotel could have looked like, and to think people paid up to $500 per night this past weekend screams the word Highway Robbery.

I started looking for the next LaQuinta and was stressed because it was dark, cold, and getting late. I had no place to stay and 3 animals in the car. I called the Stillwater property and spoke to Rachel (I think) who was working the front desk. She was quickly able to confirm a reservation for that evening and accommodate my room requests (first floor, near exits). She honored the hotels.com rate and explained this property did not charge extra pet fees though others did (cough cough Edmund cough). She was super sweet and helpful. The hotel is only a 10 minute drive or so east of the 35. Check-in was a breeze (they handed out sanitizer and wipes!). Location felt very secure with ample grassy areas on all sides for dog walking. I could park right outside my window. Location felt very safe and lots of food nearby. Would definitely stay here again and am thankful for the help in a bad spot.

My PS5 was connected to the television, and moving the dresser caused the HDMI cable to become pulled tight. Afterward, the PS5 no longer worked properly, and the HDMI port appears to have been physically damaged. I calmly reported the issue to Assistant General Manager Clint Castoe and asked the hotel to take responsibility or at least document what happened. Instead, he immediately blamed me. He claimed that "loss" and "damage" were the same under the hotel's policy, even though the written language referred to loss of personal valuables. He also told me I had not used common sense by plugging in my PS5 and said I had no right to move furniture in the room. When I calmly asked him to show me where the hotel's written policy said guests could not move furniture, he became visibly angry, turned red, and told me I could go back to my room, check out immediately, or he would call the police. I remained calm the entire time. I did not threaten anyone, raise my voice, or cause a disturbance. I was simply asking management to address damage that occurred after housekeeping moved furniture in my room. What upset me most was not only the damaged PS5, but the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service. Rather than investigate the situation, complete an incident report, or speak respectfully, management became defensive, insulted my judgment, and used the threat of police to end the conversation. I am truly blown away by how this was handled. Guests should be able to report property damage without being blamed, talked down to, or threatened. I would not recommend this location based on the way management responded.

This particular hotel is very new so I wanted to share a bit about my experience there. The Good: -Very updated and well designed accommodations. The rooms were incredibly spacious and had everything I needed. -The internet was fast and the TVs offered a huge variety of channels including Netflix, Hulu and HBO Go -The gym better than most and all of the equipment was very new and clean -Decent breakfast options -Plenty of parking -Great rates -Very friendly and accommodating staff The Bad: -Location was a bit strange, it is set far off the road and signage is lacking so it is easy to miss the turn -The beds were surprisingly uncomfortable, I expected better from a new hotel. -My room was not cleaned on the first day and only seemed to be halfway cleaned on the second day, as though someone started to clean it and then forgot to finish. I hope that they continue to improve overtime, as the hotel is very new so I imagine they still have a few things to work out such as cleaning staff and hotel signage. Overall, I would likely stay here again when looking for clean and affordable accommodations. Compliments to the staff who were all very friendly and helpful.

It reeked of mildew, musk, and chlorine. The shower was leaking, the dressers draw caused a trip hazard and wouldn't close. The electronics were all over the place. The room was a complete dump. I went downstairs and told the guy who checked us in and he insisted that he look at the room. He looked and agreed it was a mess. He told us there were no other rooms available even though there weren't many cars in the parking lot. He offered to send us to the Springhill Suites instead, but it is on the outskirts of town instead of a 15 min walk to Gallagher Iba. We told him we would switch to a Hilton which is where we typically stay and wanted s refund. 20 minutes later he came back and magically found us a room. The room was better but the AC thermostat wasn't working properly. The guy who checked us in looked at it and said he didn't know how to work it. He never offered to send a tech up. Dennis who he was on the phone with was super nice and said he would try to either get me a discount off the price or Mariott reward points. I even told the two women who checked us out on Sunday what happened and they said they would look into it and I wouldn't get a final receipt until it was finalized. I got an email receipt 30 minutes after I left town. There was my answer. They gave the impression that the hotel owner was cheap and probably wouldn't do anything. The place is a dump. The pool was closed and there was no mention of that or that they were doing a remodel on their website. Definitely wouldn't not recommend. I left a bad review and Chet Patel reached out. His email is solankichetansinh@yahoo.com. His employees apologized for the bad experience but advised that Chet was cheap and would not reimburse me. I think Chet initially took offense but quickly overcame his cheapness. He told me he would refund my visit but after several responses where he said he would refund me, it just never happened. It showed what a cheapskate his employees told me he was. I would never stay here!!!
