Told me they don't make parts for my unit anymore. All lies! Went to another company who fixed it for $1500! Apparently Valley had wired my unit incorrectly. Their maintenance contract is also 4x higher than the new company. Oh, and forgot about me in the summer heat when they told me they were ordering parts until I called. Find an honest, competent business to take care of you instead! Would give zero stars if I could.

We have been of customers Gottier Plumbing & Heating AND their Oil service for well over 35 years;…read morethey have been there for us when we've needed them and they have provided excellent service and support. 2 months (December) after we moved into our house in Vernon, CT, many years ago, our furnace needed to be replaced. We reached out to Gottier, a local Oil/Plumbing & Heating company. They came right out and replaced the furnace and put us on a payment plan. Very easy and excellent work. Well, 37 years later, we found ourselves needing to replace that furnace. We called Gottier. We didn't even get a 2nd opinion because we didn't want to use someone else. They gave us another great payment plan and came out to install the furnace. When they left that afternoon we had a new furnace and everything was cleaned up as if they hadn't even been there. Unfortunately, they didn't clean up the rest of the basement so we're going to have to do that ourselves! Lol. When I lost my job a few years ago it happened to coincide with an increase in oil prices and our monthly budget payment was going to increase significantly. I called Gottier and told them that I had lost my job and the woman I spoke to was just so sympathetic and adjusted our budget plan so that we could afford it until I found another job. Her last words to me as we hung up: "Promise me that when you get another job you'll call and we can adjust the amount to reflect the increase." I promised and 6 weeks later, I called her to tell her of my new job. She was so excited for me! And for Gottier, of course! What's prompting me to put this in a review today? Well, a couple of days ago we got a phone call from Eric at Gottier fuel telling us that, as we could imagine, given the state of the world, oil prices were going to go up. We had a scheduled delivery 2 days hence. He was calling because he wanted us to know that the prices were going up so we wouldn't be shocked. That's amazing customer service for sure! They are so kind, so helpful and so understanding. If you're looking for an oil company and or a heating and plumbing company, you certainly cannot go wrong with Gottier.

Due to fire damage, the room containing the pellet stove required complete demolition. The referenced company was contracted to uninstall the pellet stove prior to remediation. The stove was removed and placed in our garage the day before Servpro began demolition of the affected room. The room was sealed off following removal. There is a dispute regarding the handling of the stove components at the time of removal: Company's position: The company maintains that all components required for reinstallation were packaged together and secured to the back of the stove when it was placed in our garage. Homeowner's position: The stove and a large pipe were placed in the garage beneath the electrical panel, against the wall, with no components attached to the back of the stove. We recall observing additional stove components remaining in the room after removal and contacted the company to inquire whether those items were necessary. We were advised that if any components remained in the room and were removed during demolition, they would need to be replaced and that this would be addressed at the time of reinstallation. Servpro subsequently gutted the room, and all repairs were completed. Prior to scheduling reinstallation, my husband visited the company to purchase paint so that the stove could be refinished. We then contacted the company to schedule reinstallation. Upon arrival, the installer stated that required components were missing and asserted that all parts had been packaged and left in the garage. The installer further alleged that the parts may have been misplaced by us when the stove was removed from the garage for painting. Numerous communications followed between us and the company, including conversations involving our contractor. Initially, we were instructed to independently locate and purchase the missing components and then contact the company to proceed with reinstallation. At that time, we were also issued an additional invoice in the amount of $2,200 for reinstallation services. Due to the cost involved and uncertainty regarding which components were required, we requested confirmation of the necessary parts prior to purchase. Over the course of approximately three months, we repeatedly attempted to obtain verification. Eventually, a company representative confirmed that the parts we intended to purchase were incorrect and provided a corrected list of required components. We were informed that the matter would be discussed with the owner to arrange installation. After receiving no further response, I left a message with the company requesting follow-up. The following day, the owner contacted me and stated that the company was going out of business and would not be able to perform the installation. On that same day, a technician emailed the confirmed list of required parts. I asked whether the company would complete the installation once the parts were obtained. Subsequently, I received an email from the receptionist stating that the owner had indicated the company would not install parts that were not original components. As a result, the pellet stove remains uninstalled due to unresolved disputes regarding missing components and the company's refusal to complete the work. This matter has caused additional delay, expense, and disruption following a significant fire-related loss.

When I call for a refill they are always friendly, and the deliveries are prompt. Recently we had them replace one of our HVAC compressors. Their estimate and replacement was incredibly quick, especially since we were in the heat of summer. The sales agent even came to the house a couple of times to manage the contract particulars. If they are this dismissive to new, paying customers, I do not recommend relying on them. Take your business elsewhere. After having them mow.our lawn for approximately 6 years..we just had a very bad experience with them. One guy came to mow (usually they send 2) he mowed half of it (took at least 10 breaks that we counted in a 3 hour period) and left (not completing the job). BTW he worked extremely slow, it looked deliberate as this never happened before. I called the office and spoke with the lawn MGR after he left my property, while the job was still incomplete. I figured out this deceptive business tactic used by them after speaking to the "lawn Mgr". She basically refused to have the mower come back and finish the job tomorrow-- they didnt have time for us she said and that they had other properties to work on. They also jacked up the price from $175./ last season (2024) to $325./ for this season ( that is an 85.71% increase! ). In a previous conversation i had with "The Lawn MGR" mentioned there would be an increase and I said "I understand and agreed to the increase". And they still had the mower come to my property and behave this way. She said she would have a "field mgr. come and evaluate the property. They had plans to increase the price more. At this point I was finished with Dutch and their deceptive business tactics and fired them. The Lawn Mgr would not give me the owners name (Bruce Dutch) so i could have a conversation with him regarding this matter. Service both on the office end and mowing end has drastically diminished. I feel terrible that our once reliable good neighbor and lawn carer has resorted to this manipulative business tactic. We will no longer recommend this company for lawn, oil, propane or their customer service! You lost a good customer and your GOOD name!!!!!
