The manicured garden patio is what takes it over the top. I came back a second time to try their espresso. Unfortunately, the shots were over extracted which resulted in a distinctly bitter brew. That stuff made me pucker. I think fine tuning either the extraction time or water temperature could amend that issue. Yeah, I'm a stickler.

There are a few tables and seating along the front window overlook Main Street. There is also outside table seating in front of the building. They offer a selection of vintage records, books, CDs, cassettes, Gimme Coffee beans, and miscellaneous vintage merch & Stonykill mugs. For drinks & food, they offer fresh brewed hot & iced coffee/espresso drinks, lattes, tea, hot chocolate and a selection of baked goods. While my local home was having a showing, I took a drive to Columbia County and made a stop at Stonykill Coffee & Records for something with caffeine. I ordered a Cold Brew ($5 plus tax) and enjoyed this cold drink without cream & sugar outside in front, with a pastry I picked up from another local bakery business. The cold brew was strong and refreshing, just what I needed to start my long day.

I ordered the Chicken Sandwich, which was, surprisingly, a chicken SALAD sandwich. I'd envisioned a piece of chicken (which they said was "roasted") with the mentioned Dijon mustard and pickled onions and a side of slaw. Instead, the chicken was cut into chunks and smothered (And I do mean smothered.) in, what I presume was the endive slaw and Dijon mustard plus the pickled onions. Overpowering. This was served with a side of endive with vinegar dressing. The sandwich bread was delicious, though. They should change this item to "Chicken Salad Sandwich" instead of using "Chicken Sandwich." My friends ordered the breakfast sandwich with eggs and bacon and a slice of the quiche, which they said were okay. These three lunches plus a small Coke and iced tea (I had water.) set us back $90.00 with the tip. Way overpriced for the food.

A few outdoor tables, a few indoor tables, and some bar-type seating along one of the walls. My partner and I came here for lunch and both loved what we ordered. The menu was also very inclusive of different dietary needs, which is something we always love to see. I was especially excited that they had a vegan breakfast with the option to substitute tofu for eggs--I wish more restaurants offered thoughtful options like that! We ordered the sweet potato hash with tofu and the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, and both dishes were fantastic. In fact, it was probably the best meal we had all weekend.
