Katherine has been a perfect fit for me. She addresses my needs specifically, and as other…read morereviewers have mentioned, she is not at all judgmental. And she gives me useful tips and tools. I have lost several pounds, despite going through a really stressful move. Even better, she was willing to work with me on my copay when it got increased. I enjoy our sessions, and would/have recommend Katherine to anyone.

I have had nutrition treatments with others in the profession who have always made me feel rushed and shamed when I didn't always do everything they requested or they made plans for me that I didn't like. Katherine gives me independent choice where they didn't. She is flexible both in scheduling and in the way she deals with individual problems. She gives me the freedom to create a healthy plan that fits me perfectly. She is understanding and never shames or rushes me. Katherine has helped me stick with it, whereas before I gave up. She is a wonderful, intelligent woman with a gentle and kind spirit and I highly recommend her.

Sadly, the cost of this gym was prohibitive to my becoming a member. (I should have known that the…read morecost would be high when I asked about the cost prior to scheduling an appointment, but did not receive a response that included pricing.) It works out to about $24-$30 a session, 3 sessions a week is the minimum, and the contracts are for a 3 month, 6 month, or 1 year membership - paid in full up front. The trainer for my info session was great, and I enjoyed an hour long work out - 30 minutes in circuit type weight training, and 30 minutes of cardio intervals on a treadmill. The trainer was very attentive and showed me how to do each exercise. The session only had 2 other women in it, so everyone got attention from the trainer. After the work out, I met with a staffer to discuss the Get In Shape program. In addition to the work out sessions, they also encourage their members to follow a nutrition plan they provide, which emphasizes eating 100 grams of protein a day. (The nutrition plan seemed similar to Weight Watchers Points Plus program to me, but the staffer was not happy when I made that comparison.) They also have nutrition coaching and check in sessions as part of your membership. The before & after photos on the wall of members are impressive. Despite their website saying you get a "free week trial". I only had the one session. If the cost were lower, I'd have joined up as a member.

Everyone at the Longfellow Health Center is warm, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. I have…read morereceived massages by most of the massage therapists there and they all have done an excellent job. I also had physical therapy there and my body was quickly brought back into balance. I highly recommend this health center.

This woman has x-ray fingers, phenomenal expertise and a heart of gold. The week of the coronavirus shutdown, as I was beginning physical therapy with Carolyn for relatively minor lower back issues, I had an accident and severely injured my shoulder. Unable to get an MRI or a medical diagnosis because of the shutdown of all "elective" procedures, I turned to Carolyn for help. She accurately diagnosed the problem as a torn rotator cuff with involvement and possible tearing of my bicep. While her practice essentially shut down for months, Carolyn took advantage of her essential service status to guide me through a 6-month course of physical therapy to keep my shoulder from freezing up and becoming inoperable. It was very difficult to maintain the motivation to continue daily, somewhat painful 90-minute PT sessions every morning for 6 months, especially since the goal was not to get better but merely to keep from getting worse. But Carolyn kept me going, disinfecting the office specially for me and maintaining safe protocols in order to continue seeing me weekly and sometimes twice a week -- encouraging me, challenging me, caring about me and for me. When I finally saw a surgeon, he said that it was only because of the on-going physical therapy that I was even a candidate for surgery so long after the injury. I had the surgery almost 6 months to the day after the accident and Carolyn is now guiding me through what will be a lengthy recovery. I have all the faith in the world that she will get me through it and I encourage anyone in need of physical therapy to call her. You won't do better anywhere.X-ray fingers
