We each ordered individually, but tasted everyone's dish. Beef Tartare: beautifully presented and well balanced. Served with fried saltines (seasoned with Old Bay seasoning). Wood Grilled Asparagus: perfection! Absolutely LOVED the sauce gribiche! Braised Rabbit and Nettle Cavatelli: I thought this dish was stunning. The texture of the cavatelli could not be better and the flavors melded well together. Lardon added savoriness while the pickled ramps balanced the palate. Soft Herb & Pea Risotto: loved this in terms of texture but needed a touch of salt. We added a pinch of their house special salt (mined from a 100 year old salt mine), and it did the trick! Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle: this was my favorite item, though also, requiring a pinch of salt. I really appreciated that the truffle oil did not overpower the dish (that's a pet peeve of mine). We were provided with some truffle salt to enhance savoriness, which absolutely lifted the pasta to another level. Service all around was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're in town!

Come back when one of the young women owners are there. We went for holiday gift shopping, knowing we'd be spending a chunk of money and getting something recipients appreciated but ended up putting everything down and leaving after enduring this woman's inane LOUD chattering to every person who walked in the store. Not only was her stupid chatter annoying, she argued with us about never having carried an item we know we purchased there! We lived in the Deep South for nearly 30 years and never experienced an encounter that felt like such an inauthentic put-on of 'southern charm.' Sorry Duncan &York. We love the store but this year there won't be anything from your store under our Christmas tree.

There's a nice combination of local, handmade and well-known brands and you really have to go through the store a couple of times to truly appreciate everything they have to offer. Their greeting card collection is fantastic - everything from sweet to cheeky to sarcastic! You can find something for literally anyone thanks to their diverse collection of hip and modern items. My wife and I celebrated our relocated 25th anniversary in Asheville recently so I needed a local…read moreflorist to enhance our celebrations. I found Thoughtfully Curated through an online search and reached out to them via email. Ten minutes later the owner responded back confirming that they can definitely take care of my needs including delivery to our hotel as well as a few suggestions. Five minutes later everything was ordered and confirmed. On our big day the owner texted me a picture of the flowers (they looked great) and confirmed that now would be a good time to send them over as we were wrapping up breakfast and a bit of work. When we got back to the room the arrangement was in a prominent spot and after a few moments my lovely wife took a double take and expressed her amazement of "me" being able to make this happen in an out of town environment. I said that I had some help with some new Asheville friends and told her the story. Later in the day the hotel Concierge told me that she really enjoyed helping me with getting the flowers into the room and that she had a great conversation with the florist owner (she delivered the flowers herself) whom she had been trying to meet with on another matter. Serendipity. You would think things would end here but with a high touch level of customer service, the owner Mara answered my text about how to care for the arrangement (they lasted several weeks) and how to get them home on our 200 mile drive back to Atlanta. She even asked me about where we had been and where we were going during the remainder of our visit. She even suggested a few hiking and walking trails in town and in the nearby mountains that even our hotel Concierge was not aware of. I think that we have a florist for life now in Asheville.

I talked to Wanda and I told her I needed a very special arrangement for a friend's daughter who is battling cancer. I told Wanda that this women's favorite color was red and I talked about something I saw on their website. However it wasn't their website it was one of these 1-800 numbers that don't do arrangements. As Wanda explained to me those companies, FTD, put pictures that look nice and when you call them, after taking your money, they in turn call businesses in the city where you want your flowers to come from and ask if they can make a bouquet like what you wanted. I don't know who makes all the money but I think it's the 1-800 companies. I was warned about this years ago from a friend who worked in a florist shop. Bottom line call Clements directly. The recipient said the bouquet was stunning and it was the nicest arrangement she had seen in years. Call Clements. They are great people.

Unfortunately, the last few visits has been due to deaths in our family, most recently being my mother's sister(my aunt). We have used Clements as our go to florist several times , with this being no different. Due to arriving into town a few days before the funeral , we made a mad dash to Clements to see if they could have a flower arrangement made for the next day. The lady and gentleman( I apologize for not getting their names)who greeted my mother, my daughters, and myself as if we were old friends. They were so warm, courteous, and accommodating. They were more than happy to make sure our request would be handled with the short time we provided and utmost care. With prices increasing everyday, this arrangement more than exceeded our expectations. The gentleman gave us a handful of beautiful flowers, just because. With the sad circumstances that we were facing , this put a smile on all of our faces. Again, we've been here several times and have always been treated in the most heart warming way. I wasn't able to obtain a picture but I can assure you they were exactly what I ordered. It was gorgeous!! Thank you Clement's. Hopefully we can come back for a more joyous occasion and order some more of your beautiful flower arrangements.
