Although, there were many people there today the machines weren't overcrowded. Great selection of weight training machines and apparatuses for both beginners and more advanced exercisers. The machines were in good condition with spray bottles and microfiber towels available for cleaning them off. I think disposable wipes are more hygienic but I understand the need for economy. They have smoothies which I haven't tried yet and a photo room complete with soft boxes and a tripod. My cousin and I had a lot of fun taking photos. Great way to motivate and celebrate your fitness journey. This is the only gym I've ever been in that had this feature. What a creative draw.

I started a job in December as a manager at Anytime Fitness Bandon owned here in Avon Park now I enjoyed my job. I liked my members I was getting the club built up. I was doing a lot of work. I was setting up events for my club I was building it up. I was meeting my goals. Now this is where things have gotten to the point where this company does not care about female employees and they continue to let a 40 year old man that is 6 foot intimidate women with his large stature as well as he likes to yell and scream at women and tell them it's their fault when things aren't going right for him. And that people are leaving because of us and that we shouldn't be there and that we don't do anything when all he does is sleep and doesn't do his job. He has not once met his goal since I've been there starting at the end of December. With the latest incident being Friday June 21st. It started with a verbal altercation. That he continued to escalate to the point of chasing me out of the building and trying to chase down my vehicle, and he continued to yell and scream at me while I was leaving to de-escalate the situation. I reached out to my higher-ups as this has happened multiple times before with him, and he has done it to another female employee, and all they did was relocate her to a different location and did not handle the situation at all. The pictures below have more info as they like to claim they didn't know about it, and I have text messages from other higher-ups that said they have know about it and did nothing and then this morning I woke up to find out I no longer had my job and they have not reached out to me once to let me know, and they still have kept him in the building. it shows they do not care about female employees nor their members. I would also like to state that I'm not the first victim that this has happened to in my room with this company. I'd also like to point out the discrimination and mistreatment of myself at this company during my pregnancy. I had higher-ups telling coworkers that during their pregnancy they were not missing work or they were going to the hospital on weekends to get IV drips. that after I lost my child, my boss told my coworker while at least she'll be here more and also told another higher up that she doesn't understand why I needed time off since when she had a miscarriage she was back at work the next day. She also told me I had to be back within less than two weeks when I was traveling home to Wisconsin to see my family after I lost my child because my club was opening back up. Beyond the stressful and hostile work environment there was physical stress on my body due to my location, being severely infested with black mold. Which I was never informed about and only found out when they close the club for "renovations". When they were actually having a hazmat team do ozone treatments. I believe all of these factors may have caused or lead up to my miscarriage.

I have their Black Card membership so I can visit any PF worldwide. Fabulous! The place was almost completely empty at 6am when I was here and didn't fill up much more by the time I left. Maybe some of that is due to the season when the snowbirds have all gone back up north? An easy run through the Thirty Minute Circuit where I was alone and undisturbed followed by a good shower with enough hot water. A positive experience all around. As we came in, the personnel that were behind the desk just stared at us and didn't even say hi. I told my neice to scan in and she says, I can't. Noone told me that she did not have a membership at this gym. At this point the girl behind the desk, Miranda, is looking at me with the stupidest look in her face. She says nothing to remedy the situation, but from my past experience there, I knew that my neice qualified for a free day pass, because she'd later become a new member. Miranda instead tells me that for the free day pass it would be $10. But how can that be Miranda, when I paid $0 my first time here? Miranda immediately became defensive and combative and told me that since I said day pass she assumed it was the $10 one. I asked her, what do you call the free pass? She said day pass...lol. Miranda's customer service was a disgrace. I believe she treated us this way because we are latin. I will let everyone know the type of people that planet fitness has assisting the latin community. Miranda tried to get $10 from us when she knew she could have let her in for free for just today. Then she went on and on because I said I didn't remember what fkn pass name it was. Like it was up to me to get her to do her job. It goes without saying, she forced my niece's mom to come all the way to the gym from Avon Park, so that my neice can commence her life saving journey. Miranda showed no consideration or courtesy. She was dry as ice. Miranda made me feel like she was trying to take advantage of us. Corporate will surely be hearing about this, and to my latin community, please do not accept any form of subtle discrimination, especially from basic little girls.
