Hired them first on a Friday to remove deadwood from a very large 100+ year old silver maple in my front yard, which they did the same day (!), and left the premises immaculate. During the above trimming, it was determined that the tree was terminally diseased, and had to come down. This was scheduled for the following Tuesday. (Three days notice!) They did, in fact, show up as scheduled and bring down the, very large, tree, grind out the stump, and haul away the wood chips from the grinding, all in one day. After bringing down the tree, they cut a large pile of wood to fireplace lengths for me, and stacked it in my driveway. In addition, they cut two, three-foot diameter slices from the trunk to be used to make table-tops, and further, cut and moved two three-foot diameter by six-foot long trunk cylinders also to be used to make furniture. These were extremely large pieces, weighing hundreds of pounds, and were difficult and dangerous to move. They also removed all the wood chips from the stump removal. This sounds trivial, but to my surprise required a great deal of labor. As before, they meticulously cleaned the site and hauled away all debris. The first impression of this group was that they might be a fly-by- night outfit, as their truck has no company logo. Also, their price was quite expensive. However, after experiencing the quality of their work, their prompt scheduling, their willingness to cheerfully accommodate many special requests from me which required extra labor, and repeated statements that they wanted to leave our front yard meticulously cleaned up before they left (which they did), I think they may be trying to position themselves as a "boutique" tree care company catering to a nice neighborhood. Wright Way Tree Care of Columbus Ohio trimmed and shaped my trees, including a Buckeye tree damaged from a late snowstorm two years ago. A locust tree on my property was not doing well and was about 2/3rd dead. Joe gave me a fair price for removal and removed the tree--the remains of a stump from a prior removal needed to be done correctly. While grinding the other stump, his machine malfunctioned, and he could not grind the locust tree stump. Joe told me he would fix his machine and return to finish the 2nd stump. He deducted the price from the total bill and said he would get paid when the job was completed. It took him several weeks to get the parts and return the machine online. He kept me appraised of the situation. When the stump grinder was up and running, he put my job first on the list. On 10-03-23, Joe finished the stump and cleaned the yard. Clean up was flawless. His workers know how to work. There was no standing around and chatting. The crew was also courteous, answering any questions with a snappy Yes Sir! or No Sir! Their work was superb, and the cleanup was thorough. They are my go-to tree care team in the future. Two years ago, another company made a mess of my trees and damaged my yard. It cost me $2,500 to repair the destruction. " Certified Tree Experts of Columbus, Ohio" overcharged me and refused to mitigate extensive yard damage. The manager told me to read "the fine print" and was rude and condescending. Buried in the 6-point font was a statement "Not responsible for yard damage". He told me more or less to go to hell, and they would do nothing about the damages. NEVER hire "Certified Tree Experts" under any circumstances. I would not use them if they worked for free. We hired them to cut down a tree and then come back and remove the stump. They do stump removal on Sunday's only. They did a good job on cutting down the tree however never came back to remove the stump. They had a variety of excuses every time we called to see when they would show up. Finally 3 weeks later they called and said we had to remove a piece of the fence to remove the stump and they would be there on Sunday between 11 - 2. We removed the fence for them and again they never showed up. We left messages on both of their phone numbers and they never responded. read more
