I was having severe tooth pain and sensitivity when I called their office. They were able to get me…read morein for an exam the next day which was a relief. After x-rays and an oral exam (poking and looking at the suspected tooth), Dr. K. McCormick informed me I would need a root canal and possibly a second one on 2 of my back molars. She said she would refer me to an endodontist since the root system was very tricky with molars. I then asked her if there was anything she could do about the pain I was having. She shook her head "no" at me and told me to continue my antibiotics. I explained I have a 3 week and a 2 yr old at home that rely on me and that I could barely function because of the pain. She refused to address my pain. She did not offer a dental block and denied me pain meds. All the while, not knowing how long it would take for me to get into the endodontist with the referral. She was pleasant but ineffective when it came to immediate patient care and comfort. I went to the front desk and paid $141.00 for the x-rays and referral and went on my way. The soonest I was able to be seen by the referred endo was 5 days. I was expected to remain in severe pain for 5 days and just "suck it up". Since she had messed with the took to do an oral exam, the pain just increased throughout the day. It got to the point where I was unable to eat, sleep, or take care of my children. I ended up going to the ER to try to get my pain to a manageable level. The ER doctor then advised me it was the RESPONSIBILITY of my dentist to manage the pain. That he was unable to help me. This morning, I called Dr. McCormick's office to explain that I was unable to perform activities of daily living, that I was constantly tearful since my office visit, and that I had to go to the ER to try to manage the pain, but even they couldn't help. The receptionist told me she would talk to McCormick about the events and see what could be done on their side. They called me back just to tell me that she would put in a prescription for antibiotics. Yes, antibiotics for PAIN MANAGEMENT. This office is a joke when it comes to patient care and common sense. As an ER RN, I understand that pain is subjective and is the main reason people come to the ER. As a PROFESSIONAL in healthcare, it is my responsibility to advocate for my patients. This office and this dentist have no compassion for their patients. The receptionist attempted to lie to me by saying they "were unable to prescribe pain meds" and that "they have really cracked down on that". I called her out on her bullshit and explained that doctors have the authority to write prescriptions based on patient needs. Apparently, Dr. McCormick had a better understanding of the pain I was experiencing than myself. This office and the so-called doctor are a complete joke. I was able to call Stonecreek Dental and explain what I had gone through in the last 24 hours. Not only did they give me a same-day appointment, but told me they would manage my pain. Take your money and business to a competent dentist who cares about their patients. Springboro family dental is out for your money with no regard for their patients' well-being or comfort.

We just got home from there. My 10 year old had an appointment. When we got there I asked about a…read morebilling question from the previous visit. I was in no way rude or nasty in the way I talked. I just asked because the way I understood it when she was doing the filling on my son. I was under the impression that it was barely a filling and they were able to barely drill it so no need to numb him. My bill seemed high after insurance so I just asked if it was billed as the proper level. I even just paid the bill before we found out the billing details. The receptionist said she would let the dentist know and she would tell me when she checked my sons teeth. So he gets his teeth cleaned and the dentist comes in.... she has a pissed off and nasty look on her face. It made me uncomfortable and her tone of voice was nasty and pissed off (to the point it made me feel like she thought I was implying she was intentionally over charging me) which I was not. She was rude and nasty the whole time she was talking to my son. My son was on the verge of busting out in tears. Then she turns to me and says about your question.... and she pulls up the pictures and says this was before and this was after..... you see this right here that's a filling. I kept my composure and said nicely well the way you explained it last time made me think you didnt have to do a filling. So I just misunderstood you and how you explained it. She still continues to be nasty all the way till she walks out of the room. I never at anytime argued or was rude in any way to her or any employee there. I never argued about paying the bill. I never made accusations. It was just a billing question so I understood what I was being billed for. How is it the 1 time I ask a question about a bill. She is soo rude and nasty to my son and then starts on me in front of my son. I stayed quiet till the hygienist walked us up front to make an appt. The hygienist said you can make your next appt here, I in a low voice said no... i am good we are gonna go elsewhere that dentist is a bitch! I was in such shock that's all I could get out without busting out in tears. I have never in my life ever been treated that way, nor had anyone treat a kid that way. I could understand if I was nasty and rude to them or arguing with them. But I never got close to acting like that.

This office has serious problems with billing and communication. I was billed incorrectly for…read morefillings, and found an unbundling issue, also using non-standard codes that even my insurance flagged as incorrect. Instead of correcting the issue, the office pushed the responsibility onto me. I've also called and emailed the corporate office multiple times, but they keep dragging their feet. They say generic things like "we'll look into it" and then never follow through or fix anything, even though something like an unbundling issue should be handled promptly since it's an ethical and potentially fraudulent billing concern. Patients shouldn't have to chase down a company just to get accurate billing. Between the overcharging, lack of transparency, and corporate refusing to take action, I can't recommend this place to anyone. Find a dentist who is honest and responsive. Update: The bill was eventually fixed, and I appreciate that it was corrected in the end. But let's be honest -- it only happened because I escalated it. I was ignored for two weeks until the state dental board contacted them, and then suddenly the overhead office called me that same day. If I hadn't fought it, they were going to stick me with the bill. I also read another review where someone said their balance was written off but still got sent to collections anyway, so I'm hoping that doesn't happen here. Please double-check your bills if you come here, but honestly, it may be best to avoid this office until they can stop the billing issues, take accountability, and quit blaming patients or insurance.
