I'm a 20 year old business owner who has bought many vehicles, this being my 5th this year. I had purchased a car from them with the belief it was a good solid purchase, less than 30 days of owning it and 50 driven miles the transmission goes out,. I called to inquire if there were known transmission issues that were not disclosed. Theresa, on a recorded call stated it had issues. They then agreed with NextGear (who was the middle man and made no money from the sale() that they would split the cost of the transmission 3 ways. They then redacted their offer and said they were not paying any money until any negative reviews were taken down. After which they ceased all communication and refused to pay anything. This was an AS IS purchase but any known issues were to be disclosed prior to purchase. Highly highly do not recommend working with, for, or buying a vehicle with being an employer myself.

They offered sincere apologies and treated my son quite well this morning, and I was really quite pleased with how everything worked out. For my son's first car-buying experience (when I could not even be there), they did a nice job and helped him through the process. I have to admit that everyone seemed very honest and forthright in their explanations and dealings, (unlike many other experiences I've had over multiple decades) and my son is a happy new car owner. Seems like the owners and people who work here truly want to treat people fairly and do good business. I am pleased to recommend them. - Dr.P ------------------------------- Spoke with "Phil" several times this afternoon, he said he would wait till 3pm, so my son & friend drove all the way from Chapel Hill to buy a car you have listed, at FULL price. He arrived at 5 till ... He's circled and honked and knocked and we've called, but ALL ARE GONE!! What kind of customer service is THAT?!!! This was the one day he had available to find his car. VERY disappointed. complete waste of a two-hour round-trip.

The first seven months were fine and then one day I was driving it and just went over a simple manhole cover at 45mph and the front end started to fish tail and I had a scary moment trying to get control of the vehicle again. I took it to the garage just figuring it needed a repair. It is a used car so repairs are bound to come up. What I was not expecting was the garage to call me within 15 minutes of dropping it off to tell me that the whole underside of the vehicle is rusted out and they couldn't even repair it. They said the vehicle never should have passed inspection to be sold in the first place and that it is unsafe to drive. They suggested another garage locally to try so I made an appointment there for a couple days later and just didn't drive it. The second garage told me the same thing as the first place and even added that I should contact the DMV so they can deal with the inspection place that passed an unsafe car. They put their findings in writing: "Vehicle is not fit for the road. Should not have passed a state inspection Control arms are rusted through and subframe in the rear will need to be replaced at the same time. Do not recommend this vehicle to be driven until all of the rusty parts are replaced. Also 1 fuel tank strap has rusted off and the other is barely hanging on. Vehicle is very rusty and unsafe to drive." I drove to the dealership and spoke with Ben who had sold me the vehicle. He pulled it up on the computer and said "That's one of Phil's cars". I then spoke with Phil by phone (he was off that) and he was incredibly rude! He didn't care that he sold an unsafe vehicle. He said he would call me the next day when he was back in the office. He did call but not until 5:39pm. He said he told me that both himself and a third party inspection place checked out the vehicle and none of the things I was telling him were noted on the inspection. I asked how a vehicle could completely rust out in just 7 months and he said he didn't know. He said they weren't going to do anything for me. I spent $11K on a vehicle that never should have been sold in the first place and only lasted 7 months! BUYER BEWARE!!
