When trying to get the bid, I was told by the principal, that the stump would be leveled off so we could use the healthy side as a garden decoration. After payment, he refused to level the jagged stump. I showed him my neighbor's wooden fence that was put askew by a log swinging down on a rope. He refused to take responsibility for it. Even the clean up after, he refused to fix the big truck tire and outrigger divots in my front yard. He refused to clean up the area in my neighbor's yard around where they brought branches from the back yard. His blanket refusal of all my reasonable and polite requests that he made to get the bid seemed surreal. We took a chance by picking the lowball bid, but you get what you pay for.
