Late Friday morning Chris called me to say he had some fee time while his team waited for some cement to dry and asked if they could come over and do the work today. Absolutely! They left after a few hours leaving all of their tools scattered around the driveway. it seems that the man that was in the trees got unhappy and left the job. A second crew showed up one or two days later. They too were sent off the job because of bad workmanship. A third crew arrived and decimated an old oak that was a major, dramatic feature of our house. They were told by me and the first manager that came to look at the job that the was not to be touched. Our very expensive tree lighting was also disturbed and broken. They fixed one fixture but when dealing with the others they broke they refused to replace them or reimburse me for having them fixed. They charged a great deal of money and were completely paid.

Be careful of their online reviews they know not to respond to more than two messages, so you won't see any bad reviews on marketplace. Was able to get the loads of washed sand, septic, and crushed concrete no problem from another service within a week. lot better places than this. I hate to say it this is what happens when kids with no experience can just start a business online. Used to be you'd work for a company get a few years' experience then start up your own business. These days you skip all that experience and that's a big reason quality of service has gone by the way of yesterday.

I hired Sean Lyons, on 12/30/2025, to clear some trees in our backyard. He cracked and damaged our…read morevinyl fence with his equipment. I told him that I would try and fix it to save him another trip out to my house. I would do the labor and fix it for him and he only had to pay for the replacement rail. He agreed. Long story short, he never reimbursed me and whenever I called to ask about it, he lied and told me the cashier check was in the mail. Weeks later, he admitted he never sent it. Several times, he said he would drop it off in my mailbox but he never showed. I have the incident on video and I am in the process of filing complaints with the Consumer Protection Division of the Office of the Attorney General as well as filing in Small Claims Court against this company. The rail replacement cost is minimal but what is upsetting is to be scammed after I did a favor for Sean by fixing the damage he caused. It was not easy for me either since I am a senior with a rod in my back from previous back surgery. This is not an honest company to deal with and they lack integrity. I would not recommend them at all.

They were on time, used a truck with a crane, hauled away everything, and cut me a couple pieces that I asked for. I needed the stump ground down too, and they coordinated to have a third party come and do that work shortly after the tree was down. Their price was the best around, too. I couldn't be happier, and will definitely be using Lyons Family Tree Care again.
