So this was my first stop on a Saturday "West Side Farmers Market" comparison adventure, and I was…read morepleased to try a variety of samples from the vendors as well as purchase some produce, kale chips, and a delicious raw wrap from the ladies at Spark of Life! They had a nice set up with some live music playing and a solid amount of tents. However, the produce was quite limited when I was here with only two tents offering fresh veggies and such. Bummer! They had a donut truck on site, but couldn't see any area to get coffee. Boo! However, I did enjoy the samples and left with some items, and was pleased overall. UNTIL I went to the other Farmer's Market on Charlotte. I have to give them a higher rating. Mostly because it lacked the produce variety and no coffee! However, I do support Spark of Life, so I'll have to stop back by on another day and see what kind of variety is offered. When we placed the order the service rep informed me he would not modify the hot dog and not put relish on it. This was disappointing because I was looking at a hot dog next to me with no relish. I asked if I could have one just like that and he said he would not. There is a different set of rules for "some people". I'll never go again and I think Nissan Stadium should reconsider their contract. Not offering the same service to "All" customers is not the attention Nissan Stadium needs. I hate to think it could have been racial thing.

The freshness and quality of the ingredients was impeccable. It is surprisingly light and healthy and won't make you feel like you want to lie down like some gyros can. I think it was my first time having swordfish, and it was the most delicious thing - tender, flavorful, flaky bites of fish. I suppose my only nit would be I wish there was more of it - but for the price, it's understandable. The pita is fluffy and soft, and the tzakziki is wonderful and creamy with fresh chopped herbs. I appreciated the good quality olive oil and the fact that they used Persian cucumbers for their salad too (no bitterness!). Can't speak for the service or ambience here because I ordered delivery, but it seems like it has a lovely bar and patio. The food was packaged perfectly and was prepared very quickly.

Not only does Jay deliver awesome Chicago food but he is just the kindest person and I can literally taste his love of Chicago in it! We have hired him a few times for work events, and will continue to do so because they rock. This past week they were running a few minutes late, because they got a flat on one of the food truck tires. Didn't stop him from arriving in plenty of time to make lots of employees happy with full bellies. Thanks Jay!
