Spicy chicken sandwich. Get this.
Carol R.

You have to check out this food truck! Best spicy chicken sandwich! Perfect amount of heat and not dry at all. Add in those crisp pickles and you've got a masterpiece. The lobster mac and cheese was a huge portion and so tasty. The crawfish and grits were good too. Keep in mind that they're grit cakes. However, it's a small portion.

Beignets ..not good

Beignets with caramel,, raspberry and what ever else there was.. THIS WAS HORRIBLE....ROCKS WITH POWDERED SUGAR and sadly the one on the middle is raw. I am so disappointed....my Creole ancestors are turning over in their graves. This was not beignets that I grew up on. Wrapnrollclt

I've been waiting so long to try this food truck and I finally got the chance. I ordered my food directly from the food truck and the young lady taking the orders was super friendly and helpful. She had a long line but was still very personable. I appreciate that. I ordered the 99 problems chicken sandwich and I was so happy I could get it not spicy. The chicken sandwich had pickled peppers on it with a sauce that was out of this world! I mean the chicken sandwich was bursting with flavor! I also ordered the lobster Mac and cheese! Bay-BEE Let me tell you, it was amazing! The lobster tasted grilled and the Mac and cheese was sooooo creamy! I mean simply amazing!

Lobster Roll!

I'm pretty sure I'm a regular here at this point! Every single thing on this menu is phenomenal! The Chefs on this food truck are so talented. The food selections are so carefully crafted and perfected. I could eat here every day and not get tired. I live for their beignets every Friday! But my favorite is easily the lobster roll!

This review is based on multiple visits. Wrap'n'roll continues to be my favorite food truck because of their creative menu, incredible flavors, and friendly service. 5/6 times I've eaten from this truck have been out of this world! I'm not sure what happened the last time, maybe an off night, but the the 99 problems sandwich (my favorite) was different. On a normal night, the heat of the chicken and freshness of the apple slaw pair perfectly together, the mac and cheese is always perfectly creamy, and the lobster roll is always a hit.

No Forks Given - Food Truck Friday at Armored Cow Brewing

I've encountered & eaten from this food truck twice - once at Armored Cow Brewing and again months…read morelater at Veronet Vineyards. These folks may not give you forks, but they know what they're doing! Service has always been friendly and helpful, despite how busy the line can get. The cubanos are amazing - I've gotten the original and also the BBQuban. The OG is super solid, but OMG that BBQ one is just delectable and a great texture. Trust me. Try it. They also have the best yucca fries I've probably ever had. My issue with most yucca fries is that the texture tends to be pretty tough, but these are so soft inside - like they mashed the yucca first and then formed the fries. I don't know what magic they use, but they're incredible, and you must get some. We also got a churro filled with dulce de leche, and it came out nice and hot with lots of cinnamon sugar coating. I didn't love the dulce de leche filling for some reason - maybe I got spoiled by spending time in Argentina - so next time I'll likely go for the regular churro.

Not only was every order right, cooked fresh and hot, but they brought all orders into our space so our guests didn't have to wait outside for their order. Our guests raved about the food and people are still thanking us for introducing the truck to them! They were very professional and prompt. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat for an event.

Lots of reviews point to the mambo (spelling?) sauce. I ate one of these as well and loved a couple of things that I want to point out: 1). The "viscosity" of the mambo sauce was just right. 2). The mambo sauce reminded me of a very well executed Polynesian sauce...MMMMM! The Hornet sauce was not quite as thick and a little hotter than mambo. This flavor is my favorite, but I do wish the viscosity of this sauce was thicker to be aligned with that of the mambo sauce.

I follow these guys on Twitter and was always hoping they'd camp out in the Southpark area one day to draw a lunch crowd. To no avail, I was forced to wait until this weekend! Happy to find these guys at Small Bar in the NC Music Factory for PBR Fest. Churning out pizza and wings for the beer crowd. I had heard multiple cheers of praise and glory about this truck's pizza and wings. I was even a little intimidated approaching the order window. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with describing all of the menu items. We ended up getting two slices of cheese, a slice of the buffalo chicken and 5 Carolina Buffalo wings. We sat down with 24oz tallboys in hand and went to town. I was happy to say that the wings are AWESOME. Perfectly cooked, a little crispy on the outside, not dry, tender, slathered generously with amazing sauce. The Carolina Buffalo is a winner. Mustard-based bbq with a plethora of buffalo sauce thrown in. My taste buds were happy. Uhh...they need to make a Carolina Buffalo pizza. (No brainer, yeah?) The only thing that sank my happy sailing dinner experience was the pizza. A little lackluster and the sauce was a bit reminiscent of box pizza from the frozen section in the grocery store. Maybe our slices had been sitting out for a bit, but didn't have the freshest of textures. I did appreciate the crust and enjoyed sopping up the remainder of the wing sauce with them. I can't say that the pizza was banging on all cylinders or a culinary breakthrough, but is definitely reliable. The combo of wings and pizza in one meal from the street, though? Baller status. Grab a tallboy and it's all over. Foodtruck heaven. So happy to have finally tried these guys out and can't wait to see them at Chowdown Uptown in the near future! Carolina Buffalo Pizza, guys! Let's see it happen! Cheers.
