Last night's menu

Oh em gee y'all, this place is FAN FREAKIN' TASTIC! We stopped into Hoptown for a quick bite and a bevy without knowing that they don't have a food menu. Thankfully, we lucked out on a night when Wrap N Roll pulled up offering a variety of reasonably priced small bites, sides and hand helds. We opted for the Hotty Thotty Crunch Wrap (buffalo chicken) and the lobster mac (best I've ever had, for real!!!) I'm not a stalker, but I could see myself following them around for breakfast, lunch and dinner! It was that good!!!

I got the Bird you cannot change and while the description sounded delicious, the wrap did not deliver. The pic makes the wrap seem bigger than it is, but it was really small for $10!! At least include a side if the portion size is going to be that small!?! But, seriously, w/all the flavors in the description I don't know how the wrap turned out so bland and they definitely skimped on the contents, the lower third of the wrap is literally just the folded over wrap!? And there was definitely not any avo crema in mine (or sauce of any kind it was so dry!), which I felt especially cheated on since I was actually wearing an avo shirt that the girl who took my payment even commented on! For as long as it took for it to come out, you would think it would have tasted better or more effort was put into it. It was like they didn't even read their own wrap description on what's included!? I was at 26 Acres Brewery and they were one of the food trucks there that sounded like an appetizing menu, but disappointment doesn't even cover it for the $10.73 + $2 tip! Almost $13 for what amounted to an overhyped, dry egg roll! Honestly, I can think of a lot of other things to waste that money on and still be hungry afterwards!

Good food truck concept. Nice service. The lobster roll, that I waited in line 20 minutes, followed by 30 minutes to prepare, appeared to be fried lobster, which I wasn't expecting. I also think I got the last bit of lobster meat they had, as it wasn't fresh chunks of lobster. Lots of bits in there. When I came back to pick up my food, they were telling people quietly -as they ordered- that they were now out of lobster. That's not cool. They needed to make an announcement. I'd be PISSED if I waited in line 20-30 mins to order for them to tell me they're out when they knew 30 mins ago. The fries were great. Bacon AND lobster? WoW. The Brussels sprouts were a little greasy for me, but otherwise fine. Generous portion size. The fries and lobster roll were too salty.

I just recently found out about this truck and was able to catch them uptown stationed in the parking lot of one of the apartment buildings. It was super hot out, and I immediately regretted not submitting an online order. I wanted to try a few things to share with the fam, so I ordered the lobster mac, lobster roll, and veggie wrap(grilled zucchini, squash, portobello, caramelized onion & peppers, roasted tomato hummus, spinach wrap). Everything was really good, perfectly seasoned, and served fresh and hot. I will definitely continue to support these guys.

For the culture wrap. Amazing!

Absolutely amazing wrap! Incredible flavors! I'm in love and can't wait to try other things on the menu. Last night Wrap and Roll was parked outside the Summit Beer shop. I had the for the culture wrap 12$. Smoked pulled pork, braised collards, chipotle Mac and cheese, chow chow, on a house made corn tortilla wrap. Yum yum yum yum yum! Definitely keeping this truck on the radar!

I got 99 problems but a chick ain't one

I have mixed feelings about this food truck. On one hand, the food had great flavor. However, they needed to be better organized. It took way too long to get our food. After placing our order, I was told it would be a 30-minute wait. Okay, a bit long but nothing crazy. I returned to check on my order and I was told it would be another 25 minutes. I ended up checking on my order a total of 4 times before getting my food 1 hour and 20 minutes later. They take both online orders and walk-ups, this I believe lead to too many order at once. We ordered the "I got 99 problems but a Chick ain't one" and "West Philly Cheesesteak Born but Braised". The cheesesteak was packed with braised short rib but missed on the other ingredients. The cheese and peppers were not incorporated throughout the whole wrap. The hot Nashville chicken was our favorite. It had a good kick of spice and tasty! If they can fix their service times I would give them a higher rating because the food was good.

This cart has been sitting in the back of the Shell gas station parking lot for a couple months…read morenow, and it wasn't until the other night that I realized it was a Halal cart. Wait, I LOVE Halal carts! A lot of you local Charlotteans are familiar with the cart that sits at Trade & Tryon every single day (including Christmas) and know the simple menu with delicious options. This one is very similar, but independent of the others. I come to this gas station two or three times a week, so if this is indeed their permanent spot I'll probably be a pretty frequent customer. Just like the other Halal carts around town, they are cash only. Cash only, cash only, cash only!!! Got it? Also, they aren't there on Monday, but every other day is fair game. I met Omet the Chef/Owner yesterday and he seems like a solid guy who's trying to make a living selling good food. I usually go for the rice "combo plate" at these places but the gyros are typically a better option unless you're extremely hungry. The chicken gyro comes with shredded chicken, lettuce, tomato, a tangy white sauce, and a spicy red sauce. For $5 and being right in my backyard, I was very impressed. Very fresh lettuce and a generous portion of chicken. Their white sauce is great and this can really make or break a gryo. I'm really glad that their red sauce isn't "diablo" level spicy like the other carts around town. I will say that I slightly prefer the way the Mi Barrios cart does their chicken. It's chopped more, and the seasoning is different and it seems a bit more moist. By no means am I saying that this chicken was dry, it was great. My first visit made hungry for more. If you live around here or are visiting Concord Mills, check them out.

This has easily become my favorite taco spot, and it says a lot that I'm willing to drive about 25…read moreminutes just to get it. Talking Tacos is definitely worth the trip in my opinion. One thing that makes this place a little different is the ordering process. There's no interaction with a cashier -- you place your order at a kiosk, grab your number, sit down, and someone brings the food out to your table when it's ready. It's simple, quick, and actually makes the whole experience feel pretty smooth. I tend to stick with the same three tacos every time because they never disappoint: the birria tacos, the shrimp taco, and the carne asada tacos. All three are packed with flavor and always taste fresh. The birria tacos are rich and savory, the shrimp taco is well-seasoned and satisfying, and the carne asada has great flavor and texture. Even when I order takeout, the tacos are still in great shape by the time I get home -- not soggy, which is a big plus. Their lemonade is really good too, especially the mango and blueberry flavors. It is on the sweeter side, but still refreshing and pairs well with the tacos. I've dined in before and once ordered chicken strips for my daughter. They were pretty good -- most likely frozen and not hand-breaded -- but still decent enough and she enjoyed them, so no complaints there. For my usual order, the total usually comes out to around $50-$60, which feels fair considering the quality and how filling everything is. Overall, this is hands-down my go-to taco spot right now. The food is consistently good, the system is convenient, and to me they serve some of the best tacos around. Definitely worth the drive, and I'll keep coming back.

We went on a Friday night and I was honestly surprised it wasn't as busy. We ordered at the kiosk…read moreand decided to sit down for our meals rather than take out. The dining area is small with less than 10 tables. We didn't get drinks but I wished there was a water station since the food is quite rich. The waiters were extremely friendly, answering our questions and walking us through the order process. I ordered the taco trio with two shrimp and one bean, the tacos were a bit greasy but I enjoyed the bean one the best because it was well seasoned. My partner ordered one of the quesabirra and enjoyed it. We got the jalapeño queso and chips for appetizer and I was surprised how little chips you received. If you order this I would recommend ordering an extra bag of chips. We finished with the loaded churros which had dulce de leche, cookies n cream and a creamy sauce. Pros: Ambiance Great service Parking Large menu Cons: Not enough chips with the queso Tacos were a bit greasy No water station
