In October of 2019, I first contacted Yanni about landscaping work. I requested quite a bit of work…read moreto be done. It involved the removal of a Japanese maple tree in the front yard, removal of about 12 bushes, grinding any stumps that may be present, removal of brush from the front and side, and removal of all rock in the front and back yard, taking care of disposal. Additionally, the ground was to be leveled, adding soil where necessary to help level it out. After Yanni provided a reasonable estimate, I asked him if he could replace some of the bushes with lower-maintenance bushes and have a walkway placed in. We both agreed to the terms and Yanni started his work. Fast forward to November 3rd, which was supposed to be the last day of work and when everything would be finished up. There were sprinklers placed that were supposed to go off once a day, around 11:45-12:00 every day. Because of an early cold-spell, the germination did not take place. When I took a look outside to take a look, I was disappointed by the amount of rock that was still remaining on the front yard and was disappointed with the walkway that Yanni considered "complete". A couple 4x4's along the side of pavers stones was considered a completed job. Yanni mentioned following up after winter, but never did. It was a constant battle of me messaging him and him having some excuse about why things could not happen. Take a look for yourself at some of the "high quality" work that Yanni and his team left behind. These were pictures **after** the rock removal and after he placed soil and seed the first time. I cannot speak for his lawn maintenance work, but I would never use Yanni again for anything significant.

When John Fridy came to meet in person and take a look at my front beds, I explained that I envisioned a pollinator destination that would grow into a lush garden in the years to come. John understood exactly what I was looking for, made an individualized plan, and returned - in person - with pictures of the plants he envisioned throughout my front walk. These included plants that would provide unique interest in the design process, were deer resistant, and would ensure something was in bloom throughout the spring and summer seasons. The front yard, while mowed as much as possible, was a complete mess: overgrown with weeds and random flowers planted by the previous owners, three bushes/trees in the front of the house (one a Japanese Maple that would eventually destroy the yard with its size and roots), and random above-ground garden beds that were rotting. He came to my house and did a thorough consultation, listening to my goals while also suggesting ways to improve them. I've received quotes for work from many contractors in the past and had various work done on my house, and none of the companies I've dealt with were as friendly, patient, and thorough as VaceTime.
