Update 3 years later my braces are off and they hand me this deformed looking plastic to retain my smile .. the retainer is awful and it is not cut out to shape my teeth like invisiline would. The plastic goes allll the way past my gum line ... very cheap. Wow Smiles used to be under a different name. The logo used to be an alligator for my readers who might know who/what I'm talking about. Wow Smiles is located on the second floor in some business building. They redecorated the inside and made the place look bright and clean. I like the color scheme and simple decorations they have. Staff - The ladies working the front desk have great customer service. They are all really nice and actually look happy to be there. The Doctor is super accommodating and will make your requests happen if needed! I asked to get my braces off by the time I graduate (Dec. 2018) and let me tell you, this Doctor will work wonders for you! The dental assistance are also great. Super friendly and know exactly what they are doing. I also appreciate how gentle they are when they're working the inside of your mouth. Not once did I feel horrible pain from any of them. The Doctor and dental assistance will walk you through every single thing they are doing to you so you are aware of what is going on. Wow Smiles fits everyone's personality. I'm glad I went back to this location and continued my orthodontic work with them. read more

So frustrating!!! When we first started with WOW smiles in the Spring of 2018 everything was great. Easy to get appointments, no problems with rescheduling, and no long waits. Then they opened an office in Pittsburgh, CA and got a new doctor and it all has changed. Appointments are always being cancelled. We went in today and there was a sign on the door that they had to close for the week. When you need to reschedule it is always a month or more to get a new one. When we were at our last appointment the doctor wanted to have us back in 3 weeks but next available appointment was in 6 weeks. The braces were supposed to be off now but due to their delays who knows when it will happen. The only good thing is the assisting staff are nice. read more

HORRIBLE TREATMENT - I am a professional in my field, a speech language pathologist. I am aware of kind and safe patient treatment. I ended up with a jaw injury due to the intern and manager's attempts at trying to get the molding correctly done. While the Orthodontist stood around. The intern pulled out the mold. While the Orthodontist stood by requesting the intern to try again. By the third attempt my jaw was sore. I asked if it was possible to have help with an experienced individual. I knew Dr. Redd, the previous orthodontist would have never let this happen. That's why I continued going here....Dr. Redd would be so disappointed. After the 3rd attempt, the intern apologized and returned with the manager who proceeded to create another mold. When it came time to pull out the mold. I had informed the mgr that I was sore and bruised from the previous attempts. She reassured me that she knew what she was doing. The office manager rather than trying to remove carefully....yanked out the mold. I heard my jaw snap...I left immediately...bruised. This was the most unprofessional treatment. She may have also needed additional training or upset with the staff, her Orthodontist, but when it comes to the patients... 4 ATTEMPTS in order to create one mold. The previous order was incorrectly completed by the orthodontist. I'm writing this just to let others know. I will not be back. read more

This company is EXTREMELY difficult to work with. Their appointments are not working parent friendly. When I've made appointments the "Doctor" wasn't in and I've had to reschedule after rearranging my work schedule to make it to the appointment. When I call them I am put on hold for 10+ minutes and no one seems to have the sense of making the customer happy. They have an office in Santa Rosa and Pittsburg...be prepared if you have an emergency that you will have to drive all of the way to one of those locations to get helped within the week. I have had to rely on family members to take my child to the appointments and WOW Smiles have wasted their time on a few occasions as well. My advice: thoroughly research an orthodontic office before you commit. I would NEVER chose WOW Smiles again! read more

This service to include the receptionist, doctor, and students training USE TO BE GOOD, however, overtime their employees changed and no longer were the same. It was very frustrating and had to go back and forth with them 5 times on the phone after they scheduled me an appointment in the Pittsburg office instead of Vallejo when I never go to the Pittsburg office. I left work and arrived at the Vallejo office just so the receptionist can tell me it's scheduled in Pittsburg, so after their mistake of scheduling at the wrong office she ASSURED me I would be able to get an appointment the following day before my cleaning appointment. The receptionist advised me she scheduled me in for 9:30 am however, she was still UNAWARE if it was approved or not so to wake up early to call and verify before going there. I call the after hours, she had no absolute idea what I was talking about and couldn't help. I wake up early and call today at approximately 8:30 am to only be told that it was not scheduled nor approved. The service here is ridiculous and I would NEVER recommend anyone going here. Throughout my time with braces here it was horrible and never received the treatment I needed without having to go back and forth about something whether it was scheduling an appointment or getting my wire changed etc. There was always an issue!!!! read more

First I am going to say that I take responsibility for my terrible experience with the new wow smiles staff in Vallejo California I should have taken the time out from work to make myself familiar with the staff before agreeing to the contract . I received care from wow smiles when I was a teenager and I loved the experience so I wanted my son to have the same experience. First of all it took 45 minutes over the phone for me to reach A live person so that I can make an initial payment which was $500.00 . After that I was unable to reach someone for almost 2 weeks I left voicemails I left emails no response . I was told it was because they implemented a new system. My son had to get his braces removed from leaving Western dental. My fiancé and my son went to his first appointment they removed his braces they proceeded to put on the top and not the bottom advising he needed to get his bottom teeth cleaned we got that scheduled he got that done , 3 days later. they still refused to put his bottom braces on until he got fillings completed, Which are mainly at the top where they DID put his braces at. To make a long terrible story short wow smiles went off of two year ago records from the prior orthodontist therefore, they had no idea that my child had cavities & basically blamed me for not letting them know as if I am a doctor/dentist .Now I have to hope that the dentist can proceed with the braces on at the top , if they can't that will be another day off work for me .I have been told one too many different things from different people in that office they are never on the same page I have talked to management more than once the two people that work at the front desk are rude and far from polite every time I come in, I guess I'm labeled the upset customer in the office .I am a customer my son is a customer ! I have a contract to pay cash monthly! Bottom line is what should have been done was at the initial visit they should have removed his braces and then told him he needed to go get a consultation for a Dentist to make sure he didn't need prior work, Instead of going off of a old Dentist chart from nearly 1 year & 1/2 ago. But they did not so now I am the unhappy customer my son is the unhappy child because he hast to prolong this process that I have to pay for ! no one is trying to understand that in the office no one cares in the office I want to cancel my contract and be reimbursed because they have done absolutely nothing at least not a complete job most of all I am just unhappy with the customer service that they provide I would advise any new customer to make sure that you do not have a job in the daytime and you can go into the office without having to take off of anything important because they do not answer the phone. Brought my daughter here for braces. We knew it would be a multistep process. She got her spacers in last week. The office stressed the importance of the appt the next week, that the spacers followed by the appliance installation needed to happen about a week apart. Today we show up a tad early for our appointment. And we waited. and waited. and waited. for an hour. We were told about 40 minutes into our waiting that the device hadn't come in yet. I asked why wasn't I notified, and the response was that this doesn't happen. Which is good, but it did happen to me, and an hour of wasted time could have been saved. Anyways, daughter and I go to leave and I had assumed due to the impression I was left last week about the need of the spacers and appliance be installed a week apart, that this follow up appointment would be this week sometime. Early next week at the latest. Daughter doesn't get the appliance installed in June 9th. 16 days away. So that's cool. Hopefully the rest of this process goes better. read more
