Not that I will be able to get my nails done for some time, since it will take me months to grow out the damage caused to my fingernails from this one bad manicure/butchery! I went for gel removal and deluxe Mani & Peddi. The technician who was removing the gel from my fingernails, rather than gently buffing the surface on the gel to enable removal used a very coarse file and filled all the gel along with most of the layers of my natural nails, till they were paper thin and had to be cut off all the way down to the nail bed to enable the manicure to be completed. I stopped her five times and asked her to stop filing. If I hadn't had another technician working on my feet, I would have walked out then and there. After completely stuffing my nails, she applied one thick coat of polish rather than two to three that are usually applied, and the nail art is so crooked and badly done, that, rather than getting compliments, for the unusual design, I have been asked a number of times since I got out of there, " is it meant to look like that?" The answer is NO IT'S NOT! APPALING! Even when I complained and asked her to stop, explained that she was filling off the layers of my nails she argued. I'm kicking myself for being to polite to make her stop and do the work properly.

Nearly every time I have visited, I have received crooked nails, the WRONG colour, or shellac that has peeled right off after a couple of days. My advice to those who visit is to keep a very close eye on the manicurist and request that they re-file your crooked nails - and that the nail polish colour they use on you is actually the colour you have selected! Both are issues that I have had more than once. [DO NOT even bother with a french manicure....!!!] That said, I have had a good manicure here before; but I literally had to watch like a hawk and request several times that my nails be filed again and again to get them straight / neat.... should that really be necessary for a $50 mani? I'm not particularly precious about my nails, but working in a corporate environment, I do like to have neat professional nails. The salon is appealing because it is big and spacious and there is hardly ever a wait to get a seat; however, the poor service [you will definitely be surrounded by smirking staff speaking loudly in another language!] and the gamble of not knowing how your nails are going to look, means that I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I would like to think that paying a premium price ensures a premium service. I understand that there are sometimes circumstances [new staff, extremely busy etc] that mean that this won't always happen.
