I had been to this place a couple of times for basic (non shellac) manicures, and had usually been seen fairly quickly. I suggested it to a colleague as the place closest to our work, and she booked an appointment two days in advance for during her lunch break. I decided to come with her that for a shellac pedicure, and called that morning to book for the same time. Both of us were excited for a bit of Friday self-spoiling. Upon arrival, it became clear that the staff had accepted a number of walk-ins without considering our appointments. They continued to do this as we were there, telling people clearly asking when they could be seen that they could be seen "now" when there was obviously a wait. Staff were vague and rude, and barely apologised when we tried to explain several times that we (a) had booked appointments and (b) were pressed for time. After about a 10 minute wait, an untrained guy who clearly didn't usually do manicures began my "pedicure", which consisted of putting my feet in the water and a very basic trim of my nails. My cuticles were completely ignored. The spa itself wasn't a spa. I wasn't given a foot massage. I was eventually attended to by one of the girls to actually paint my nails. My friend's shellac "manicure" took 1 hour (as did my pedicure), the first 20 minutes of which was spent waiting to be seen. Like me, her cuticles were ignored and no hand massage. Completely unrelaxing and disappointing experience, certainly not worth the $55 I paid. Save your money for a place that wants your business! read more
