My experience at Miss Fox today was just so damn lovely I could pop. After ogling the pictures and reviews for the past year my lovely partner must have realised my desire to go and so he surprised me with a gift voucher - squeeee! I was greeted at the top of the stairs, immediately offered a cup of tea and guided over to the brightest yet most elegant chairs I have ever seen. As I hastily checked in on Yelp I realised I need not fork out my wallet to purchase a glass of champagne - you get a free one when you check-in. Woo! I was treated to a gel polish manicure on my visit and it was simply exquisite - a far cry from my usual manicures that I get from a certain chain store up the road. The whole process was slow but not tedious and incredibly relaxing. I chose my call - a bubbly pink called "fantasy". My manicurist said "Can I show you my favourite pink polish? I think you might prefer it." SHE WAS RIGHT. It was wah-aaaay better than what I chose. We had lovely chats about family and travel while I sipped my champagne and treated my nails. It was just such a lovely experience. Yes, Miss Fox is pricey however it is worth every penny. A voucher to Miss Fox is probably the best gift a gal could ask for. read more

I have to say I have heard about Miss Fox for years and given I normally travel for work to MELBOURNE I rarely get the opportunity to pamper myself in the city. This time I had the opportunity to do so and was looking forward to a pedicure at Miss Fox. The lady who did my pedi was lovely and friendly and we had a good chat but the result of my "shellac" was a smudged big toe. The pedi Itself I found to be average at best and the whole experience was very overpriced and underwhelming to say the least. The foot massage which I hoped might make up for the rest was very short and not particularly pleasant. More similar to how one might administer moisturiser in a hurry as they run out to work! I've always had a lot of nice things to say about Miss Fox and her classic beauty (both the spa and the owner herself!) but I had to update my two year old review after getting my first full spa treatment there recently. I have long been sending people here but never had a proper massage myself...thankfully this was rectified with a thoughtful Christmas gift of a Diamond Glow Indulgence Ritual (hot tip for partners: this is a gift where serious brownie points are guaranteed). The spa treatments are up another level, where the mood is even more peaceful again. The music is just right (no awkward woodwinds, whale sounds or tinny oriental music here) and the girls are always on hand to settle you in with tea or champagne. The relaxation massage itself was hands down the best I've had in Melbourne/Australia. I've tried many and always been disappointed, but not here. I have extremely sensitive skin and am allergic to a number of natural products, which means facials make me really nervous and I tend to avoid them. When they're in packages I usually try to swap because when I've had them I couldn't enjoy it, feeling too unsettled about my face tingling or possibly erupting in a nasty rash as the therapist ums and errs awkwardly about whether or not it was ok. The girls at Miss Fox are incredibly professional and my therapist Cassie made me feel completely at ease that she had looked into every ingredient and put together a treatment that was going to be suitable for me. I loved it and my skin feels great, ridding my tricky combination skin of its dry patches without giving me a big breakout. If you're wondering whether it's a worthy treat yourself splurge, it absolutely is. I was relaxed from head to toe and my only regret was coming her in the morning and having to do stuff later in the day instead of sitting around drinking champagne! read more

I really dont like going to hairdressers. I feel awkward and like I have to force conversation. From the moment I walked into Miss Fox i felt comfortable and relaxed. The conversation flowed with the stylist and I knew that I was in good hands. Luna likes to get a feel for your hair and cut to what looks the best and what is the most suitable for you hair type. I do suggest that you make an appointment in advance if you want to visit on the weekend, the stylist I had was booked up until the end of January, but it is well worth it!! I love Miss Fox. It is the only place I will go for hair and make up. Miss Luna has cut and coloured my hair a few times now. My partner also gets his hair cut with her as well. I wouldn't let another person touch my hair now that I have met Luna. She absolutely knows what she is doing. She is also very honest about what you can and can't carry off. I trust her advice 100%. I buy most of my make up and hair care at the Miss Fox salon. The make up range that they use is Jane Iredale, which is mineral based. I have now switched over from MAC to Jane Iredale. Fun fact - many of Jane Iredale products are vegan. They are also fantastic for your skin. One of the hair care ranges that they use if O&M aka Original Minerals. The shampoo I use smells amazing. The 7 day miracle hair repair leaves my hair in fantastic condition, despite constant heat styling and colouring. I have also had my hair and make up styled at Miss Fox before an event. If I just justify the extravagance of getting 'done up' so often I would do this every weekend! If you are going somewhere special I recommend you get done up there too. Make sure you book well in advance though, these ladies are extremely popular. read more

Remember being a kid and thinking anyone over 30 was ancient? You'd watch those TV commercials for wrinkle reducing face creams and think "woah, imagine being so old that you have wrinkles!". Here you are watching Ninja Turtles and playing Tetris on your brand new Gameboy, not a care in the world about old people stuff... Time marches on and one you day you wake up, in your thirties, and realise that "holy crap, I think I need that miracle face cream!" and have a minor freak out. "Where have the years gone? When did I stop having a glow in my cheeks? What the hell is going on with my eyebrows?" Ideally you have visited the gorgeous girls at Miss Fox before this occurs, but if not you can make an appointment for a skin analysis and they'll sort you out, all the while making you feel okay about the ageing process. $90 gets you an in-depth skin consultation which is then redeemable for products. I thought I'd have to chuck out everything I currently owned and start again with the products sold at Miss Fox, but I was encouraged to finish them off while starting to use a few of the products I bought after my consult. Two months on and my skin looks better than it has in years. I now feel comfortable wearing no makeup some days which is something I wouldn't have done a few months ago! Yes, you can come to Miss Fox for great haircuts, manicures and massages but the real magic is the work they do with "old people stuff". read more

Miss Fox was excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The cup of tea on arrival was delicious. I was gifted a voucher to go there as a special treat and it was amazing. Hands down the best hair cut I've ever had. It suited my needs perfectly and they really listened to my lifestyle and what I needed out of my hair. It suited me so well and was incredible. EDIT: I had a minor issue with the payment for a previous appointment. The staff at Miss Fox sorted it out quickly and professionally. Their service was impeccable.
