I sometimes felt the extensions done elsewhere were sometimes inconsistent in application and would look a bit heavy on me. Additionally, I was driving to Old Town when I live in the city and would often battle additional traffic as well as parking issues. So when I saw the fabulous reviews for Dupont Lash I decided to give them a shot. First, I was so pleased with how easy it was to book and that I was able to find availability the same week. That was challenging at the last place I went because there was only 1-2 lash techs. When I met Sara, she was so helpful in asking me what look I was going for. I showed her my past applications that were my absolute favorite as well and sharing with her the overall look I was going for. She understood the assignment immediately and nailed in on the first time. When I came back the second time I just wanted as very slight modification, and once again she executed it perfectly. (And she is so lovely!) Additionally, my lashes seem to stay on some much longer. Although I typically do a two week fill, my two week mark usually still looks so fresh and so good! Overall, I'm glad I made the switch and found a place that is more convenient and consistent.

Story time! My lashes initially done in Jacksonville, FL and then at another salon in DC since…read moremoving here in January. While I've had lash extensions since November, not once did any of the techs at the other salons tell me the extension length I wanted was WAY too long for my natural lashes to support. I was having to spend tons of money each week to get a fill because my natural lashes just couldn't support the weight. Still being a newbie to extensions, I knew something didn't seem quite right with my current extensions but I just didn't know for sure. I decided to switch salons and booked a "fill from another salon" and was told to text photos of my current lashes to the Art of Lash. Within 10 minutes, Malin called me to discuss my current lashes and the possibility that they won't be able to fill on them. She suggested we re-book as a removal and full set (which is precisely what we did). When I arrived to Art of Lash for my consultation and (possible) fill, Christina sat down with me and completed a consultation before looking to the damage that had been done by other places. This is the first time I've had anyone really take me through the steps and ask me what I was looking for. She provided pictures of different shapes and before/afters of people to show the results. When I finally laid down and Christina saw my lashes, she was pretty upset. She said there was 1) WAY too much glue 2) way too much length (only 30% of your lash length max, mine were more than 50%), and then 3) multiple extensions glued together- meaning there was twice the amount of weight per lash. NO WONDER WHY I HAD SUCH A HIGH TURNOVER RATE!!! My lashes simply couldn't support the extension that were incorrectly and unskillfully applied by other salons. Of course this meant Christina had to remove my old extensions and then apply a full new set. Yes, it was a lengthy process (especially if you're not someone who can fall asleep aka me), but it was SO SO worth it. My lashes look amazing now and are much healthier with a normal turnover rate. When the appointment concluded, Christina was super helpful in giving me aftercare instructions, recommending a cleanser, and recommending I use a lash serum (since I like length & the extensions from before damaged my natural lashes). At the other two salons before this one, I was NEVER told how to clean and care for my lash extensions so this was so incredibly refreshing. Yesterday, I had my first 2 week fill. This was the first time since November I have been able to retain lashes this long and not look like a crazy person. Christina informed me my lashes were growing back in pretty well & my retention rate was awesome. Amazing what can happen when the proper length is used and care instructions are given! Art of Lash has changed my world! Moral of the story: if you're looking at reviews on here to make an informed decision, you've found your lash place. Don't risk your lash health just for cheaper prices elsewhere because this salon is 110% worth the cost. Christina is incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and an overall kind person. The salon is gorgeous and has wonderful aftercare products for sale as well! You won't regret getting your lashes done here!

Before finding this salon in DC, there was a stretch of time, especially during COVID, when I stopped getting Brazilian treatments altogether. By the time I first came into Inari, my hair had fully reverted back to its natural state, which for me means very curly, very big, very everything. From that first appointment onward, the results have been incredible every single time. I usually go either once a year or every six months, depending on whether I want to let my curls really come back or keep things sleek for longer. The upkeep is easy, the results last, and the quality of the treatment is outstanding. One thing I have learned over the years, and this is not specific to Inari but worth mentioning, is that letting the initial treatment stay in your hair for a full 48 to 72 hours really makes a difference in how well the keratin sets. When done right, the transformation is wild. I go from extremely curly hair to pin straight hair after washing. Sometimes it is almost too straight for me, but honestly, I love it. The team here truly knows what they are doing, and the consistency over multiple years is what keeps me coming back. THE BEST EYELASH EXTENSION EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!!!! I've been getting eyelash extensions for quite some time now and have many, many places. I must say Wow Lash Studio is by far the best place I've ever been. If there was a sterile technique for applying eyelash extensions - it is practiced here. I could not count the number of times the owner (Mimi) sanitized her hands while applying my extensions. The extensions were beautiful. More importantly, the customer service is the best - it is exceptional. In my opinion, Wow Lash Studio is the gold standard for service. The owner makes you feel like you are part of her family. Her follow up is impeccable; she makes sure you are completely satisfied when you leave. But, she doesn't stop there - she follows up with you days and weeks later to make sure you are still pleased with the lashes. I would never go anywhere else for lash extensions and recommend Wow Lash Studio to anyone who wants the best extensions and the best customer service - it doesn't get any better than this. read more

I must say that I would never go to anyone else, but Lena. I had previously gone to some other techs, whose work cannot even come close to what Lena does. I met Lena at another salon close to my house, but when she stopped coming, I followed her all the way to Falls Church. Eyes are very important and you cannot just put your trust in anyone to come close to what is the most precious organ. But Lena has been an unbelievable. She is very gentle with your lashes and your eyes. I personally don't like the fake look of lashes, but the way Lena does my lashes, so far, no one in my family/relatives have noticed the extension. That's how natural they look. I have a lot to about Lena's work, but one word that describes her work is "OUTSTANDING!" Lena has been amazingly flexible with my tight schedule and I truly appreciate that. Thank you Lena for being the kind and wonderful person you are. read more

Wow! "Wow Lash Studio" is the perfect name. Mimi is INCREDIBLE. I had an appt at 8:15 but she was extremely patient when I didn't show up until 8:50 (not advocating for late arrivals but she was so accommodating) for my FIRST APPOINTMENT! I was a little nervous because this was my first time getting lash extensions but Mimi knew exactly what she was doing. I showed her a few pictures and she worked her magic. Mind you, I am VERY picky and I left extremely happy. She even checked in with me to remind me of my 2 week appointment and was patient with my late response. It was very relaxing, not painful at all, and she made sure I loved it every step of the way. 2.5 weeks later and they still look great, although I'm going for a fill in soon. PLEASE do not spend your money elsewhere, it is worth every penny. Thanks Mimi!! I won't be going anywhere else for my lashes!! read more

The service was amazing and the treatment turned out the way I wanted it! I just moved to the area a few months ago, but I am not new to getting lash extensions. So I am pretty satisfied with the results! I noticed a few misconceptions in the reviews: If your lash extensions are falling out shortly in just a few days after your appointment, it usually means that you didn't allow for the lash glue to cure for the full 24-48 hours. It's important to take extreme good care of your extensions. It is also a myth that lash extensions makes your real lashes fall out. It is natural for lashes to fall out over time because the average human sheds 1-4 lashes a day. That is why you need to go get your extensions filled every 2-3 weeks to maintain them. And don't forget to clean your lashes with a soft brush and micellar water! You don't want build up near your eyes! read more

I am very picky about how my makeup looks and have had a bad experience with lash extensions in the past. It left me with almost no natural lashes for months and some trust issues. After having a baby I just felt so rushed in the mornings trying to get both of us ready and out the door. I wanted to be on time for work, have time to connect with my daughter and look pretty. Because of my time constraints I decided to try lash extensions again. I treated myself for the holidays but I loved my lashes so much that I just went back for a fill and plan to keep them up. It is such a relief to be able to have exactly the look I want in such little time in the morning. Plus, it is so nice to see my face without makeup after being up all night with my teething baby and still look bomb. Thanks Linh!! read more

I found WOW Lash Studio through Yelp and I am a happy customer. I am relatively new to Lash Extensions and really just wanted a flirtatious look for a special event. After visiting WOW lash studio, I am hooked. The experience itself is really relaxing -I nearly fall asleep during my service- and the result is amazing. They're so curly and long and just naturally pretty. I also got my brows done twice here. I usually don't get my brows done because I don't really care about my brows as much as I do my lashes lol, but Semra made my brows look really nice as well. I was impressed by how different I look with them shaped better. I will think about doing my brows more often here

TL;DR (long version in the photos)--I never write reviews of businesses, let alone small businesses…read morebut I am hoping that doing this will save someone else what I went through. I visited Semra's studio twice and she gave me a severe allergic reaction (Google PPD allergic reaction and HD Brows and BrowSculpt) that left me with severe hives on my face and extreme swelling of the eyes/ face for which I had to see three doctors and had to use six separate medications. It took me over a month to fully recover (I visited her salon Sept. 17, and am only now fully recovered as of late Oct.). After I told her about it, the only apology she gave me was "sorry to hear about it :(" I asked her for a refund and she refused, not even refunding me the tip or the cost of the service that caused the allergic reaction. On top of that, when I sent her the pictures, her reaction most generously could be understood as ignorance about a very common allergy that occurs due to the chemicals she uses in the line of work she's been in for ~30 years and at worst as accusing me of lying. She refused to take any accountability even when her actions seriously harmed a customer. I'll let you draw whatever conclusions you believe appropriate from my experience.

To tell you how much I love Jenna's services, I moved to Florida and I'm traveling to DC just to have my eyelashes done by her because I have not been able to replace her where I live. Still, I walk out of my appointments with her super happy, pleased, and feeling refreshed, like good all me. Initially it does look intense, but I knew it would lose a lot of this intensity during the healing process. I can truly say that I am happy I went through with my decision. My eyebrows have never gotten so many compliments before this!! No one believes that I did a tattoo for them or my lips (which lets you know how natural it turns out). I also loved the convenient location as it's close to where I work so I didn't have to travel far to make my appt.

She takes the time to explain the process to you and is extremely practical/real. She is a very talented artist and makes my eyebrows look so good that I rarely wear makeup anymore. I started out with microblading but now we've transitioned to microblading/powder fill combo which seems to be working much better for my skin type. You need to do some research before committing to microblading because it is something that requires maintenance--it's basically a tattoo and will fade overtime. Kira is very thorough in her consultations and will explain everything to you. She is the best cosmetic tattoo artist in the DMV and I will never let anyone else do my eyebrows.
