I put 2 stars instead of 1 because of my prior experience with them that was good, 5+ years ago now. I'm not sure what's happened there since then. All I know is that for this past year (it is now March 2026), every time I try to sign up for something that Heidi Heniger is in charge of/decides who gets selected to attend, I DON'T get selected. It's supposed to be based on if you've attended an event recently (as in, those who haven't attended an event recently get selected first), how many events you have attended recently, etc. In this last year, I've attended 3 events: a 12 week Personal Training FYI session (not sure if there is a limit in capacity for that) in May 2025 and two sessions for the First Friday Walking Club (which I don't believe anyone is denied as it is outside at a park, so there is essentially unlimited space) in June and September 2025. Prior to that, going back to July 2024, I attended 3 virtual events and 1 in-person event. In this last year, I have attempted to sign up for a spring training game, a garden event and this recent sound bath event. All have been with Heidi and all have been denied. After this recent denial for the sound bath event I emailed Heidi and asked if there is something I needed to do to get selected. I never received a response. Since I didn't receive any emails or communication from Heidi, I spoke with another WWP POC of mine at a different office since I can't seem to get ahold of anyone at this office here in Phoenix. After they spoke, I was told that the reason for my continual denial was some coding thing that was wrong in the system. Yet I can get approved for online things or when someone else runs it, but not Heidi? And Heidi never contacted me about this? Never responded to my email when I asked what can I do to get approved? All I received was the standard denial email stating "Regretfully, I am unable to accept your registration for this event due to the high interest and limited number of spots available." Yeah, that's BS and we all know it. Oh, and I had signed up 8 days prior to this denial email AND the sound bath event stayed open for registration for at least a day after I received this denial as well. I have still received no communication from Heidi. If this coding error was truly the case, you'd think she would want to respond to me herself and clear things up. I don't know what is going on here...are these events actually being held? Do others get approved for these and it's just me who keeps getting denied? Or are they just listing events but not actually doing them and just pocketing the money? Whatever is going on, they need to be looked into and it seems like they need a HUGE overhaul. read more

Jeremy is a wounded warrior that was able to go on the Soldier Ride December 9, 2021 in Tucson Arizona. He is nearly blind but because of the adaptive bike he rode he was able to be independent. Not having to have to steer the bike as there was also another rider steering on the tandem bicycle. We met so many amazing people both staff and people that came to the event. We did yoga to help relax, it was really geared for the people that were there. The staff was simply amazing. They talked to each person as if they were family & loved ones. Everyone was included no one was left out no one was left behind. This is an event that I wish every soldier could go on after their service. It's that amazing! Thank you to all the donate to the Wounded Warrior project and make this available. And thank you to the wonderful people that put it on. read more

Reached out to WWP for help with a disability claim that I wanted to submit to the VA, you would think with all the money they receive from donations that they would be prompt with getting back to you. Nope I had a Service Officer names Joaquin reach out to me one time. I emailed him the documents that he requested and I never even got a confirmation email. So in all I waited about 3 weeks so instead of waiting around I submitted the claim myself. I just winder what WWP does with all the money they make off of us wounded warriors!! read more

They charge $10 a person to get in as a cover, and we found out that the air conditioning in the building was broken and they should've customers that before hand and also should not have a fee to get in to come into a place with no air only had two or three fans going on inside the whole building building for the whole night. Very unprofessional, the air broke and two still charging people to come in at a hot establishment, not being made aware of the condition that the establishment is in. We stayed for about two hours at the max to order our food and listen to some good music and then we left to go somewhere else because it was extremely too hot in. The future, the business owner and staff workers should make it prevalent that all guests are aware when there's an issue going on in the building and or to close the establishment until the issue is resolved no restaurant or business without air conditioning in the summertime when the weather is over 110° daily.

Wanting to try another of their restaurants before the ungodly heat arrived, we decided to stop in for lunch. Parking: can be a bit nerve wracking, especially parking in the dirt lots east of the place. You have to walk across 32nd St & if you know Phoenix drivers, this can be dangerous. There is a pedestrian light now, though, so that helps -- but oddly enough, there's no "walk" signage. It's merely a blinking yellow light for north- sound-bound traffic so you have to pray to the universe drivers are paying attention & actually stop for you. Ordering: a bit odd. The main door we went in was more the middle door that didn't really take you to the beginning. There's a drink station then the food station. We skedaddled to the right of the main doors for the drink order, only to discover there's another door that people walk through to place orders. So we joggled w/ another customer trying to figure out who was there first. It honestly felt like a school cafeteria, a bit chaotic, as well as cramped. The patio was pretty large & well shaded, but it was also full -- and this particular day also the ONLY SHADE. We were left to sit at one of their many tables on the grounds with no shade. Food: not worth the $77 we paid. I get it's a working farm, & though we try to support local as much as possible, the food we ordered was not good enough that we will stop by again. The strawberry fields salad was a typical salad, no wow factor there. The Italian sammy was dry. There was a minuscule amount of some kind of dressing on it, but def not enough. Dessert: red velvet whoopie pie was so overpriced it's not funny. If it tasted great, I wouldn't complain...it did not taste great. The pecan pie was abysmal; not enough filling and very bland. Two "specialty" drinks, a salad, a sandwich, & two small desserts, for $77? No, sorry, not again.

My brother worked for Harkins back in high school and I got into a lot of free movies back then. I saw all the big blockbuster movies back in the 1990s at the old Cine Capri in Phoenix and the Camelview 5 in Scottsdale. I am all about the movie experience, especially movies that have a lot of action and special effects. I still enjoy dinner and a movie date nights. This Harkins location is in North Scottsdale right off the 101 and has plenty of parking and restaurants all around. I was recently in the area and caught the latest "Superman" movie in the CINÉ XL theater. Harkins Theatres Scottsdale 101 14 has 14 screens and all the updated stuff like stadium seating and electronic reclining seats. The CINÉBAR has a variety of wines and rotating craft beers. Food can be ordered ahead of time on the Harkins mobile app. A Cine Capri-style auditorium was built at Scottsdale 101 in 2003. It is called CINÉ XL and has an extra large screen, a gold curtain that opens up before the movie begins and Dolby Atmos sound with a 4K laser projection. There is also a small Cine Capri museum here with pictures of the old theater in Phoenix. I like going to Harkins Theatres because they offer the best deals for a regular movie goer like myself. I'm part of the My Harkins Awards program where you get discounts after so many visits. They have an annual Popcorn Perks program where you can get 36 medium popcorns for a year for $40 (one popcorn per visit). I also purchase the loyalty cup and get my $3 refillable drink at each show. I save on admission price by seeing most of my movies during matinee hours. Going to the movies doesn't have to be expensive if you look for the deals. Sometimes the concession lines can be long at Harkins. A lot of young folks work at Harkins and can be a little slow at times. Plus certain people bog up the lines because they order way too much food and snacks for a two hour movie. But I still enjoy my movie experience and what Harkins Theatres has to offer.

Once inside, the service really stood out. The servers were attentive without being overbearing, and having everything brought right to your seat? So convenient and honestly kind of luxurious. It made the whole experience feel super relaxed. The only slight miss for me was the food. I ordered a frozen margarita and the mac and cheese with bacon neither was bad, just a little underwhelming.
