We listened to female veteran entrepreneurs' presentations and did some activities. I met so many wonderful female veterans. It was empowering & uplifting to be in such great company. They fed us a great lunch and gave out Thrive Causemetics swag bags worth over $300.00! We're going again this year on April 27. This organization is 105 years old and is such a wonderful resource for women warriors!

It seems the CEO of Foundation for Women Warriors seem to be more focused on their image and donors…read morethan their mission to honor and empower women veterans. They gatekeep veteran resources and referrals behind an intake application whereas other veteran organizations freely list FFWW as a resource. FFWW seems very judgmental with regard for financial assistance with a statement like this "Eligibility is the first step in our financial assistance program application process. Those who demonstrate gross financial mismanagement and/or extreme debt, will be referred to ongoing financial counseling." For a nonprofit who relies heavily on donations, I would expect FFWW who is ran by a woman veteran to treat women veterans with the honor and respect they deserve.

I have volunteered for many organizations and this is by far, THE BEST. Their strategies are well…read morethought out. They have thousands of loyal volunteers who are very committed to their cause. Puppy raisers are not paid and accept the fact ahead of time that they will pay the costs of raising the puppy - that is part of their contribution to the cause. If there are unexpected medical bills, CC is able to help fund those. Puppy raisers sign documents that, among other things, explain that the puppy is always owned by the organization. They have a long wait list for these extremely well trained dogs, and vet the potential recipients so that the dogs go to the best fit and who is able to handle the dog. They have high expectations of their puppy raisers for good reason. Lives depend on these dogs and they have to perform perfectly. Having said that, they are extremely supportive of their raisers with in-person classes, sessions, videos, and manuals. From a donor's perspective, they run 'lean and mean' saving money for the real purpose of the organization - raising the best service dog puppies in the world. It is hard to understand the poor reviews given here. They should visit the campus and see for themselves.
