As you walk in there' are quit a few tables an it's bigger then you think. We were fretted an seated right away. The service was perfect a the food was all very good. We started with the pan fried dumplings and some sushi! Both were spot on and the sushi was very fresh and very good. My husband an I shared the generals Tao chicken as it was enough to feed 2 people as well as the chicken fried rice. All cook perfectly a the flavors a spices were exactly right. We were very happy with it all. Can't wait to go back an try the hibachi with steak. Highly recommend trying this place. It's definitely a hidden gem!

Sumi was a pleasant surprise with a lot of variety on the menu. I got the vegetarian poke bowl and seaweed salad. The poke bowl had lots of avocado, cucumber, pineapple, mango and sushi rice. I opted for the sweet chile sauce which offset the other flavors nicely. It came with either miso soup or a smaller dinner salad. I got the salad with ginger dressing. It was a lot of food and I definitely couldn't finish it all. My family got hibachi shrimp that came with lots of broccoli and fried rice. They had leftovers as well. Simple interior and very warm service. We were well taken care of. Great little place for dinner.

Definitely more suited for takeout than dine-in which is strange because they have a very nice…read moredining area. If you do choose to eat there know that all the dishware is disposable plastic - they do use good sturdy plates but it's a bit of a disservice to their beautifully plated sushi to be served on plastic. Service is good as long as they're not busy. We were the only dine-in patrons and were told to grab a takeout menu and sit where we liked. We did the mental gymnastics of "do we order at the counter or will they come to us?" and the cashier must have been telepathic because she headed over a second later (the answer is it's preferred to order at the counter if they're busy). The food is decent for the cost with some highs and some lows. The Krab Don was fantastic and presented adorably. The spicy tuna roll had much needed tempura crunch inside which gives it a better texture than just minced tuna. The crunchy salmon roll tasted a little fishy and the shrimp in the shrimp and scallop hibachi was way overcooked though I give them kudos on the scallop not being overcooked. Hibachi veggies, noodles, miso and clear soups, and house salad all standard, nothing great but decent. The sushi rice was a bit dry and bland but I didn't get any nigiri so it might be better in quantity. They do thoughtful presentation, though, with carved veggies and cute wasabi leaf designs. It's very much a place you go to for value rather than quality. I'd equate the hibachi to what you'd get at the mall - decent and filling but nothing special. Sushi is on par with Publix but I believe at a better price point.

I've been here 2x and both times the food was impeccable…read more I got the Coconut Shrimp roll, Florida roll, and Alaska roll (2x) across my visits. The Coconut Shrimp roll was sweet from the coconut sauce and the coconut added a yummy flavor and texture to the roll, as well. If you like coconut and sweet rolls, you'll love this. The Florida roll was GAS ! I just started getting into spicy food and spicy tuna recently and this was just perfect. The right amount of bite and the spicy tuna on top tasted so good. It seems like they mash it up, which makes it easier to chew than typical raw tuna. A great savory roll and the flavor profile was just right, adding the eel sauce was a nice touch. The Alaska Roll speaks for itself, I mean look at that mountain of crunch I got it both times I went (inadvertently). I think I got it right with the name... I was calling it the volcano roll, but that has mango sauce on it. This one has kani on top and cream cheese inside and probably shrimp tempura. I really loved this roll, like a mountain of flavor every bite. The atmosphere is small with authentic looking Japanese decor and quiet. A nice spot for a week day dinner (might get crowded on the weekend). Really great food though overall. Ate these rolls as leftovers both times and was good the next day

Very nice restaurant. Clean and super friendly staff. Came here for lunch with some coworkers and…read morewe all ordered the 3 roll special. The special comes with miso soup or clear soup and if you want the house salad (like I did) there's like an extra $2 charge. The restaurant wasn't super busy when we arrived but I will say it took a little longer than anticipated to receive our rolls, which again were more basic ones since we did the lunch special. So on to the main event: the sushi! Definitely fresh, nothing tasted off putting or stale. However, the overall flavor of the rolls were lacking hence my 4 star review. I would come back just to try other items but the three rolls I ordered off the lunch menu were 1. Seared tuna scallion roll (6 pieces and rather small) 2. Spicy krab roll (this was pretty mid, 8 pieces) and 3. Spicy salmon roll (not spicy at all lol and again just okay)
