I have tried to link an account from another bank, put the wrong numbers in for the deposit and can't get anyone to correct the situation. I talked to the chat, emailed a couple of times and went to the bank. All I am trying to do is link an account from Frost so I can transfer money. This has been going on for several months now. The guy at the bank said I needed to make another request through the website, he couldn't help me. The website said it is already linked but, but it is not linked to transfer. I opened an account in June 2025, and I absolutely love the customer service we received. Stephanie (asst mgr) was amazing, and very informative. I left the "to big to fail banks" for a smaller, more personal Credit union. I'm NOT alarmed with the low survey numbers; they come mostly from people who feel so entitled, and can't handle following the membership rules. I'm happy to see all the cry babies leave. I have been a member for almost 30 years and the service from my perspective has gone downhill. I set up and linked an outside account to my FTWCCU accounts recently and then found out that you can only transfer $5000 per month to the outside account. Very limiting allowed use of a very convenient tool especially for someone who is a member outside of the metroplex. The wiring instructions for a greater amount are also cumbersome. And finally, when trying to call a branch office I am given only the main number. The wait time of over 20 minutes is excessive. read more

I called customer service for 2 overdraft, excuse me the manager referred to it as a Held Funds Fee, I was charged that caused my overdraft in the 1st place. I had enough money to cover 2 of the 3 transactions that hit my account. I fully understand I owe for one. When trying to speak with Management I was told I could have it back as a courtesy??? Courtesy?? When I had the money for the 2 transactions I'm referring too?? No ma'am that is not how it works. Then the manager Chardae wants to try to fast talk you like you have a low IQ. I would NOT recommend this Fort Worth Credit Union to anyone. I went on valentines day for a car loan/lease buy out and banker basically talked me out of getting a loan? She also mentioned they close at 6 and most of it can be done online. I did NOT appreciate this type of customer service. I will not name her as I am not that type of person. I don't normally leave bad reviews. I went to EECU Credit Union and they were happy to assist me. Do yourself a favor and go to EECU instead or other places but not this one. Samantha was professional the entire time but was also very personable and hospitable during the process. She made the procedure of getting pre-approved for a loan, seamless. I been with this bank for awhile now with just a savings acct and I like it , I recently opened up a checking acct with them and called to see if they had the apps ZELLE or CASH APP .. It was a disappointment to learn that this great bank does not have these convenience for there customers... ZELLE and CASH APP is the new thing now and I wish we had this set up. Have been here for over 5 years. I would not recommend at all. I am a busy mom and have lost my card a few times maybe 4 in the last three years. Every time I go in to get a new card the banker gives me lecture about how I should be careful. I'm paying for the replacement so why does it matter. The app never works, and they don't have a 24 hour customer service. The customer service isn't the best. Do not bank here. I made a mobile deposit into my account on Friday (successfully) and sometime Saturday the bank REMOVED the deposit for no apparent reason, no notice, and not explanation. Due to the check being removed, the purchases I made on Saturday and Sunday were then charged overdraft fees. The check was then re-deposited by the bank Monday morning and the bank then withdrew all their overdraft charges ($160) from my account (even though the account was positive for 3 out of the 5 charges. When I called the manager (Dina) and asked for an explanation of the charges, she was completely incompetent and offered no explanation as to why the check was removed in the first place. Furthermore, she was rude on the phone and acted as if my complaint was an inconvenience on her day. These business practices are at the least questionable and at most, illegal. Ive filed a formal complaint with Federalreserveconsumerhelp .gov, and if you've experienced a similar situation (which based on the reviews of this so-called institution would be many), I urge you to do the same. To FWCC, if you see this and comment below and offer an 800 number to fix the problem, I'm not interested. I tried to resolve these issues with you before and get nowhere. read more

I have been with this bank for over 20 years, and would not recommend it to anyone. I live on the west side of Fort Worth, and the closest bank is deep in south Fort Worth, or in WEATHERFORD, which is not even Fort Worth. Their timing of deposits, and withdrawals are ridiculous, so that they can get their fees, and will not work with you to correct it. I guess they have to make their money somehow. I will be looking for a new bank. I feel they have somewhat been fair, in the past, so I've overlooked their inconvenience of locations, and ATMs. But after the conversation I had today with them, I will be looking for a new bank. Horrible Horrible customer service to say the least I had some fraud done with my ATM card last month in Las Vegas. I then immediately report it lost. Fraud dept does there investigation I assume and they eventually fix up my account which they should do anyways imo. So here we are the last week of March so at this time I'm requesting another atm card thinking it will take a few business days to get here. One week goes, then two, then I began to call the branch to see what's up. I'm then told they sent it out on the 8th which was more than two weeks ago and still nothing I call again and they tell me its gonna cost me $50 to expedite it to me in which will take 3 more business days that's bs if you ask me and poor customer service all they way round I most certainly wouldn't recommend banking here unless you wanna feel unwelcomed read more

When this company changed their billing process I was on auto draft payment and had never been late for one single payment, then when they notified me by email on how to set up my auto draft with the new system on 7/29 they neglected to inform me that my previous months car payment 7/4 did not get drafted and therefore I now owe a late fee that I am not responsible for, after speaking with the collections supervisor she claims her hands were tied and she is unable to waive my late fee even though this was their error And poor communication with their clients. Very unhappy with the customer service I've received, will not be using them for another loan in the future. It seems to me that when you have people to make their payments on time, you would want to keep them as clients. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I lost my debit card last year and someone went on a shopping spree. I woke up to over $2500 missing! I received NO notification of strange activity or anything! Anyway I did dispute and received my money back. Several months later(about 6 months), I woke up in the "negative" again. FWCCU claimed they "overcharged" me when I was reimbursed and I didn't realize it. They could have called, emailed or something to communicate the issue instead of putting me behind in other bills. I CLOSED my account immediately, however they reopened it and took my stimulus money and applied it to the negative(mind you, the account was CLOSED)! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME unless you want to get ripped off! Please try Frost Bank. After opening a second account with Frost, something similar happened. Frost took OWNERSHIP for their mistake, apologized and refunded EVERYTHING including the OD fees! Take lessons FWCCU, first with better customer service skills. Their app is down constantly, their website doesn't work half the time and my personal favorite, when they were BOTH down for a week during the worst of the pandemic. Don't worry, you could get a whole $200 out of the ATM. Literally only keeping a small amount of money in it so we can get cash as we switched to another bank that isn't local. But their app works and their customer service agents don't act like they're doing me a favor. I usually prefer smaller banks, not in this case. RUN! read more

Im a credit union member here, I called today, advised I had a jar of coins, I asked if they had a change counting machine, they advised all of their branches do, but........there is a 3% fee for anything over $35. I wanted to create an account to consolidate my credit cards and pay everything off. It was an easy process, but the interest rate matched those of other credit cards, so it doesn't provide a lower rate. As mentioned in another post, if you are used to the technology and up to date alerts/notifications of other banking institutions, this credit union IS NOT IT! It was so difficult to maneuver payment options on their website, I was always on the phone with their customer service to get it right. After paying off the loan, IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. I had accidentally charged my account from another purchase, and that's how I realized my account was still open. It took about three times to close this account! I know big banking institutions have issues, but I will be sticking to them from here on out. read more

This credit union seems to have good reviews but I'm not sure why. I recently moved to the area and switched my accounts to FTWCCU for convenience. Since the day we opened our accounts, numerous mistakes have been made (not "coding" the account properly to receive certain incentives, forgetting to order a debit card, rude and hurried customer service via phone, email, and in person, etc). I was even considering moving a vehicle loan over to them (after they sent me a solicitation about a loan promo in the mail) but whenever I call to ask about it, either nobody picks up or the person who answers does not have the information I am needing and tells me to call back. I simply asked one representative if they ever match rates on an auto refi and he couldn't even tell me that. Regardless of the hassle of finding a new credit union and moving my accounts, I think I may do just that as a result of their poor customer service skills. read more

I have personal checking and savings account currently with FTWCCU. They're just okay. Our joint accounts are with EECU. FTWCCU has charged a few fees I've never encountered while banking with EECU. I didn't use bill pay within 90 days and so FTWCCU charged me a $5 fee for not using it. They charged me $3.00 to transfer a whole $.90 from my savings to checking when a transaction came through that didn't have enough funds. I've always used bill pay sporadically and occasionally forgotten to transfer money from savings to checking but they automatically did it for me at EECU with no fees. FTWCCU is nice and friendly if you ever visit any of their branches but do nickel and dime you. read more

I have been talking to them for a year and they still do not have account alert settings that work. Well, let me say work in a timely manner. IE., American Express, all of my visa and mastercard, plus USAA give me instantaneous alerts. FTWCCU takes 24 to 72 hours to tell you about a high bill pay or high withdrawal. No one at FTWCCU cares either. I've talked to everyone from the CMO to the IT director. They all give me excuses. If it weren't for a car loan I have with them I would be leaving asap. read more

A very mom and pop type credit union. Not many capabilities when compared to something like the Educational Employees Credit Union. To me, these guys are classified as a wannabe. There is a fee for literally everything, online banking history is only capable for 3 months max, just to name a few drawbacks. When I first opened my account I moved everything over there... that lasted about 3 months til I found out how limited they are, so I moved my accounts to a bigger credit union and life was good again. If you don't have many transactions, the staff is nice enough to make it worth while, but other than that scenario... I suggest choosing a more capable credit union... just saying. read more

Yesterday on 10/05/20, I tried contacting Fort Worth Community Credit Union for a person with disabilities. I called them at approximately 4:50 PM and requested to get a member number for a person that is hard of hearing so she could make her first car payment. I spoke to a Maria extension 2283, in which I told her that the person was hard of hearing and couldn't hear her over the phone, but I was interpreting for her. Maria could hear Amy over the phone, but refused to talk to her. I told her that she could ask security questions and I would interpret so she can answer them. She continually refused to talk with me and required Amy to go and present ID in order for them to discuss the account. I told her this is discriminating, but she stated that's what her supervisor told her. I advised that I would be filing a complaint with the ADA for discrimination. They were very rude over the phone once I told them I would be filing a complaint they refused to talk, and I disconnected the call. read more
