Avoid this place like the plague. I used them 12 years ago for a big trip and had to cancel last…read moreminute but I bought the insurance so I was covered. Turns out the owners did not take the Apple insurance but declined in my name without telling me so they could sell me their insurance! This insurance they sold me did not cover things the Apple insurance did. Apple Vacations told me that if I had their insurance, the trip would have been refunded immediately, in full. Because of the insurance they forged for me, I had to fight with everything to get my money back, they did absolutely nothing to help. The founder of Apple Vacations actually fought by my side to get my money back from the agency because the CL Travel owners, the Dougherty's, basically told me there was nothing they could do! So I was just supposed to eat the $5K I spent with them. I haven't used them since. I decided to try them again a few weeks ago after finding the Dougherty's were no longer involved. Another crap experience. I went in and told them what I was looking for but no one the receptionist asked wanted to work with me on this trip. They then put me with an older woman who had zero interest in my trip but went thru the paces to take my info. She could not have been less interested and it showed. I sat there, silently, as she typed in her computer, not asking much about the trip but doing something on her computer (solitaire?). She then said she would get back to me by email with what she found on the trip I was looking to go on. Being a big, pricey trip, I thought they might be a bit more helpful. It has been over 2 weeks and I received 1 email with minimal info for one small part of the trip, nothing else. IMHO, this agency is awful, avoid dealing with these people. I have talked to other agencies since and they have all been very excited about my trip, asking detailed questions and have put together fantastic itineraries. The difference is night and day. I am not sure how they stay in business if this is how they treat potential customers.

We experienced no shows and poor response times. We were super frustrated with the entire process. Enter Lori. We found her on a destination wedding site and she piqued our interest. We set up an initial meeting and were sold from the beginning. She had solid answers to our laundry list of questions with plenty of material to back it up. She listened to our very specific wants and knew just where to direct us. On top of that, she got us some great deals. We  started our process with a group size of approximately 40 guests.  Now enter COVID 19. Our original date was 10/10/2020. We had everything in place from rooms to flights to ceremony. Like many COVID brides, we decided to pull the plug and reschedule for 2021. Talk about scramble! Finding times that will work for a group our size was a nightmare since all the other couples were rescheduling also. But Lori not only held our hands through the entire process, she went above and beyond to seek out every avenue to make it less stressful on us both mentally and financially. She worked day and night to move us and our group to the date we chose and emailed, called and worked our flight and resort vendors to make it as painless as possible for my people. We lost nearly half our group in the reschedule and due to travel concerns and Lori handled all of my friends and family members with grace and understanding. Lori is knowledgeable, honest and my most FAVORITE Lori quality is her response time. I would email her questions anytime they popped in my crazy over anxious COVID bride brain and she would almost always respond right away. I told her multiple times to ignore me until her business hours and spend time with her family... She only sometimes listened We always felt like a priority and she never made me feel like a crazy bride... Even though I'm sure I was. Sidebar, in the middle of all the craziness (before COVID) I asked Lori to plan an anniversary trip as a surprise for my parents and she planned and organized an amazing unforgettable trip for them that changed their minds completely about international travel. While on our honeymoon we found out that a 10% veterans discount was available. When we arrived back home I called Bernice and she indicated that she'd had no idea there was a Veterans discount. Our honeymoon was just shy of $9,000... That is a $900 mistake. She indicated she would give us $400 back and a discount on future travel. When the check arrived the letter that accompanied indicated that she would not be offering us any future discounts and made it sound like we had asked for a discount after the fact. So disappointed in her lack of knowledge regarding the products she sells and revoking of promises.
