Long post ahead! We seldom write a review unless the situation affected us to the extent that we felt disrespected, dragged our time, delayed our project and dumped us in the end. He did some good things when we started the project. I decided to leave a 2 star review because of how this project ended up. September 25,2023: We started communicating with Bob for our building signs. On the 1st-2nd week, he came out to see our shop to discuss with us our project. Oct 5: He stopped by in our shop. After this, it took him 2-3 weeks of not responding due to some excuses. We patiently waited. Oct 21: Bob finally got back to us to send an updated estimate but then informed us that he'll be on a vacation from Oct 24-Nov 13. That's almost a month! We still patiently waited and respected his time again. We were expecting, he'll contact us back few days after his vacation but he did not. We were the one following up on him. Nov 21: After a month, he responded to us with an excuse again . He said he was sick. It was totally fine and we understood but nobody in the company did not even bother to update a client. Nov 29: We're back communicating with Bob. No signs of disrespect or disappointment on our end towards him after all these months of just working with the estimate and the project plan. Dec 05: About to finalize the estimate so we can give the deposit and get this project started. We called him around 30 minutes before 5pm. Bob's tone was no longer polite. Then I have to call him back as we had few customers that I needed to assist. He was not happy about that. I called him back around 10 minutes before 5pm, I felt he was in a hurry and didn't want to finalize it. I even asked if he could give me 5-10 more minutes as there were 3 line items that we needed to review. He threw some aggressive and offensive words which my partner heard. After the argument, Bob said we'll talk and set up an appointment tomorrow at 9am. The next day came, he didn't call us at 9am so we called him few minutes after 9am and he did not answer the call. We called again the following day and he never answered! We felt like we were working only on Bob's terms, we don't want a one sided business with anyone. We want it TWO WAY BUSINESS. We respected and patiently waited for Bob. We never showed rudeness and disrespect for all these months working with him until BOB became disrespectful. We should be upset, disappointed and frustrated with how Bob dealt with this project and for dragging our time but we didn't. We chose to understand his excuses and situations. We wasted 3 months with WORLDWIDE SIGNS. Bob put us in too much delay. We had a few companies that were willing to work with us but we had to decline them as we feel he was serious with our project. One thing we can't never FORGET was when BOB suddenly FLIPPED and said "Wooh, wooh, wooh, WE'RE DONE HERE!!!!. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!!! Really? That's how easy for you to dump your client? That's how easy you get frustrated over the phone? Bob can't even give his almost 30 minutes but he can DRAGGED CUSTOMER'S 3 MONTHS? WHAT ABOUT OUR 3 MONTHS THAT JUST GOT INTO WASTE???? 3 MONTHS OF WAITING FOR NOTHING!!!! You're right Bob, WE NEED TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER COMPANY. Worldwide signs is wrapping a trolley I purchased. Bob told me it would take 2 weeks to complete. We are now close to three months and the trolley is not finished. During my final walk through I noticed none of the trim was painted and the doors to enter the trolley were not wrapped and were non operational. I asked Bob the owner to paint the trim at least so it wasn't so visible, and he up charged me on the final invoice. It was also a fight with him to continue the wrap on the trolley doors. Making things worse he would not fix the doors which were broken by one of his employees wedging into the trolley. This has turned into a total disaster and I am extremely unhappy! read more

I've been a customer since 2007 and have ordered a number of items for my business. I've definitely been pleased with Bob's up-front, honest perspective. When I first came to Worldwide Signs, I had business cards, letterhead, envelopes, and a monument sign made. I was pleased with the quality and speed of everything. I had bad luck with my sign however. The weekend after it was installed, a rodeo goer punched it, denting the face. A month later, neighborhood kids pulled it down. I brought it back to Bob and he straightened it out for me so I was able to reinstall it, this time in a different location. Since then, it's been problem free. World Wide Signs just completed a sign at my real estate office in Los Gatos. I sent out quotes to 5 companies and he was the only one to call me to ask me direct questions to really get an understanding what I needed. Then he broke down step by step what he was going to do to get the sign up, steps for permits, estimated time, etc. Bob was the only one to do this and his quote was also competitive. They had to match the sign to the lettering of the office next door. They promised me it would not be an issue and the sign came out perfect. They also did the vinyl logos on the front doors and we did not have the correct digital file to create one logo. So Natalie created one herself at no extra charge. Bob handled the permits, dealt directly with our property manager, etc, etc, etc. We needed a separate quote for the electrical but it turned out the electrical was already installed and by the previous renter. WWS contacted me to let me know this and it saved us a lot of money. I never would have known this so the fact they were honest is proof enough you can trust WWS. Bob did a great job with our company logo and name! Bob was professional and prompt. There was a previous tenant in our suite. As that tenant vacated, their old signage was removed and awful remnants were left on the brick buidling fascade. I figured it was not a big deal and asked Bob to just simple lay our logo and company right over it. An hour later, Bob comes back in and (without me requesting) had completely removed all the remnants of the old glue on the super porous brick fascade. I needed an item printed on short notice for a marketing event and called Worldwide Signs. They said they could do it same-day, price was $75. While I was driving to pick it up, they sent me an email, apologizing for misquoting the price, it would really cost me $143.89 to pick up my finished work. At this point it was after 4pm on Friday, I needed the item for the weekend, and there was no time left to shop for another vendor. No choice but to pay whatever they demanded. I really gave this company more than one try to make good but, BOB is cranky and he makes me cranky. Not a good mix! I don't like to be made cranky when I am spending my money somewhere. Buyer beware!! The vinyl product on my truck doors did not hold up either (Just over 2 years and it's peeling at the edges),"this was NOT Cranky Bob's fault" in Cranky Bob's mind! I have another truck that 5 yrs ago I had it vinyled (not wrapped) out of town, Still going strong, no peeling etc. I will be making the drive out of Livermore for my "repair" and my next jobs with vinyl lettering and labeling etc...... Bob is always willing to work with us for our signs at Livermore High Baseball. I have been using him for over 7 years. He does a great job and has some good insight on what will look good and what material to use. We have some signs that he made up for us back in 2005 and they are still going strong hanging on our backstop. I love doing business in town because that makes my life easier for pick and all that. We have done a variety of signs through Worldwide: vinyl, metal, Dibond, etc and they all turn out great. I love the process of explaining what I want, he e-mails proofs and we work out details. The signs always come out just right and the pricing is unbeatable. Running a high school baseball team is difficult with the limited money we have so Bob is always willing to work with us with pricing.
