We had 3 dads and our 3 sons out there, so we looked for a calm water day so the waves wouldn't be so harsh on the kids. We started by fishing for sardines for fresh live bait, then moved on to catch a big bonita, and a couple decent tuna. We tried for some sailfish using a kite fishing technique I've never seen before, but they weren't biting that day. Finally we caught a few barracuda - my son was very happy to pull in a 3 footer with some crazy teeth!

Jonathan has two boats and offers, inshore, nearshore and offshore. We fished by a couple of docks and went through 11 dozen live shrimp in three hours. We kept a dozen sheepshead, 1. Pompano, and 1 Margate. We released a dozen sheepshead, dozen jack crevalle and a few lady fish and puffers. Ive fished with many guides and was extremely satisfied with all aspects of this fishing trip. He put on fish in the first cast. The boat and fishing equipment were in great shape and the bait was lively. He showed up on time with bait and we fished for the full four hours. Jonathan was super patient and had a great attitude. Enter Native Water Sports! We've seen the store several times but never went it. We decided to go and we are so glad we did. Ted, the owner and operator, graciously helped us get the proper parts and told us he'd call us back to the store once received. About a week later, the parts were here, and Ted and my husband arranged a time at the shop. He not only helped install the rack to ensure that it was safely mounted, but he also showed my husband how he did it and was very hands-on! It took them about one and a half hours - and we were good to go. He showed us how to use the straps, how to take the pads off/on, etc. You can absolutely tell Ted is a well seasoned professional kayak guy - not only that, but he's friendly and just a genuinely nice person. His 1st mate took us to the side while the captain was getting fuel and asked to tip him on the side because the captain would rip him off. Bob later called and told me we lost one if his rods which I felt was shady so I told him that we all thought his behavior was bad, so he then refused to send us the pics from the day. We are planning another trip with another charter now. Catch 22 was the only negative charter we've had so we are not deterred.
