The haircut is very good but then again I am not asking to do something elaborate- usually just razor and some cuts on top. One ding is they only take cash or check which is a bummer. I had come here in the past and disliked the quality, but decided to give them another try. This was a huge mistake. The male barber talked to a coworker nonstop throughout the entire cut, not paying attention to my hair. I instructed him clearly before hand to not cut certain parts of my hair that I was growing out which he ignored. The location is perfect. I stay at the Marriott hotel next door, and frequently get my hair cut on business trips through this area. Alex does a great job, and he is efficient, with no wasted time, and great results. The place is bright and clean, and the price is too good to be true. absolute botch job. literally every side of my hair/head is uneven and different lengths. we agreed on cutting one inch- just to end up with one inch of hair left. she was ripping the hair out of my head with her comb (which i wouldn't mind if my haircut wasn't fucked up). there was absolutely no professionalism, and used an electric razor to cut my hair after i told her "that's enough, i'm ok" she continued and would not stop. i felt humiliated. read more

I'm very particular with my haircuts as I get a fade and still have long hair on top. I just moved to to the area and this is the 3rd place I found and this is the place I'll continue to go to!! I got my haircut here around 6pm today, there were three Barbers and all were busy when I arrived. But no one was ahead of me waiting so I only had to wait 5 minutes. The haircut I received was great but the real reason I'm giving four stars is the level to which the barber engaged with me to ask questions about how I wanted certain things cut/styled. I'm certainly not someone who tells the barber in detail what I want -- typically just the number along the sides and inches along the top with a fade; it's not a terribly difficult haircut to give. Nevertheless the barber asked me about styling and how I wanted sideburns and the back of the haircut handled. Additionally, he used a hot shave and spent a good 5 to 10 minutes making at the end making small adjustments to ensure it was up to his standards. Two months ago I walked in and was seated. I went last week and waited 20 minutes. Every minute was worth it. Old school barbershop where a lot of local professionals go after work. If you're like them, expect a respectable 15 minute wait post-work on weekdays. They cycle through quickly with 4 barbers though. He cut it a style I didn't want and nothing like what I had told him. He was constantly stopping and texting on his phone the whole time. He also kept walking away to call someone. I come here every month to get my haircuts and get my haircuts done by Andy. He takes very good care of me, and always takes his time, no matter how busy it is. And trust me, this place can get busy. It's even worse when a bunch of the other guys before you are also waiting on your preferred barber (if you have one). But that's because most of these guys do not rush when doing your hair, and pay close attention to details. There were times where I've waited 1.5 hours. But hey, a bunch of us like Andy! All the barbers are friendly. I think this place is best for those who are looking for more simple cuts. I don't get anything fancy, usually just a comb over with a fade. Sometimes I'll want to try something a little different, and Andy is always willing to try it out. If you're looking for some really fancy schmancy haircut, then maybe it's best you go to some salon. First hair cut was pretty decent and but when I went second time with the same barber it's disaster.

I was recommended by a friend to go to this barber. I am very particular about who cuts my hair because most people just can't get it right. I'll give most people a few tries to get used to my head and hair, but Ken is right on the money every single time. I've gotten my hair cut by a couple of the other barbers in his shop and they did a good job, as well. Everyone is very, very friendly and is truly accommodating and appreciative of their customer's patronage. The shop is very clean and looks brand new, unlike a lot of the other local barber shops in the area. I used to pay $25 or more for a cut so I have no problem leaving $20 for a $12 haircut that is better than anywhere else I have been. I'm moving to Falls Church in a couple months, but I'll have to find a way to keep getting my cuts from here. read more

I have been here twice and I am sold on these guys. I have had bad experiences with a handful of barbershops in the area but this place makes up for it. I usually don't get anything terribly hard to do. I get a medium fade, not too high (point where I want it to start), rounded sides not square, and a trim on top. I have short hair so I go with a three or two on top. Everywhere I have been it has been crooked, patches left uncut, square like a flat top, or ridiculously high on a medium fade! The search has been for almost two years for the right barber shop and the search has ended with Worldgate Barbers!!! I have tried two different guys at this place just to see what they would do and get a feel of who is good. Usually there is one or two guys that are really good and the rest you don't want them to touch your hair ever. This not the case here. These guys are patient and good at what they do. My haircut is now a side part fade/bald cut fade and they have nailed it both times. You guys have a new customer indeed. read more

I went in for a bread trim and the guy told me to come back in 15 mins and I did then he said another 15 mins. Finally he sat me down for a dry bread trim and cut my face with the razor. I recommend not getting any bread trim in this place unless you want your face sliced :/ read more

I stopped by today for a lunchtime hair cut, they did a good job keeping to what I asked for in my haircut. They are a cash/check only place, so be sure to be ready for that (pretty standard around this area). Only complaint would be that they need to do some heavy vacuuming in there, there's hair pushed into corners that could easily be cleaned up. Otherwise, beyond that cosmetic problem, I'd recommend stopping by if you need a trimming. read more

I like the location, the people there, and the haircut that I received. The reason for the two stars is for cleanliness. Every good barber I've ever been to will sweep up after every cut, this didn't happen at worldgate. I had to wade through multiple haircuts worth of hair to get to the chair, not fun when you are in sandals. There was also a good bit of hair under every work station and all over every clipper, brush, and comb in the shop. There was a lot of hair to start with on the floor, but I also watched at least 6 people walk out after their cut without a broom coming out. The chairs are also very close together. The barber cutting next to me was using a blow dryer to get the hair off his customer, since he wasn't careful when he did this I caught the air from the blow dryer along with some of the hair from my neighbor. I'm not comfortable sitting in a pool of other people's hair, I'll have to find another barber. read more

Awesome spot! All the barbers are Vietnamese and have amazing attention to detail for the price. Make sure you bring cash for their $14 flat rate, because they do not accept credit cards. I get a pretty basic cut, but they still habitually spend a ton of time making sure everything is symmetrical, tight, and in order. I heard this was a good place to get your hair cut having just moved to Herndon from Dallas. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the experience. I had a guy named Ken who was nice enough but didn't cut the way I wanted. I told him three times not too short on sides as my hair is thinning. I don't know if language was an issue.
