Out of University and still looking for work, World Workers was one of the first places that ever help me find employment in Adelaide and became one of my first local references that eventually helped me find full time work.
Though it has been a few years since I've worked with this contracting company, while I was with them they helped me find regular work to pay the bills and I will forever be grateful to them for allowing me to work despite the fact that I had very little local work experience.
The people who I was working with were mostly migrant students who like me were looking for work but unable to find anything or anyone that would hire. During my time with them I did everything from building stalls for exhibitions, working in a recycling centre, building warehouse shelves and more.
It was a fun experience and I got to work with alot of down to earth and hard working locals. It really helped me appreciate hard physical work and what people who do this for a living have to go through.
The staff at World Worker's and David who was my sort of go to person at the organization were very helpful and were constantly finding a stream of weekly work for me to do. They aren't as big as organization as Extrastaff, but that allows them to give more attention to the people that do pass through their office doors in my opinion. read more
