I was engaged as an Authorised Representative for a participant involved in mediation matter with…read moreChas Cini of MERS. During conversation, Mr Cini was abrasive and rude, continually talking over us and cutting us off mid sentence. There were multiple counts of unprofessional conduct during communication and he did not seem competent in using email platforms. In one 24hr period, we received in excess of 5 emails from Mr Cini that were completely contradictory by nature of direction. Other email notifications were received that he had attempted to recall as we were not an intended recipient. This oversight shows a clear lack of interest in protecting the privacy of others. One of the main concerns was we had received numerous emails (at all hours of the night) which he then tried to recall as we were not the intended recipient (other party in mediation was the intended recipient) but we had received them and could open and read them. One email in particular contained derogatory and disparaging comments (written by Mr Cini) targeting me, but was intended for the other party involved in the mediation. The comments were callous, insensitive and demonstrated flagrant apathy toward the health and wellbeing of others. I have addressed these matters in particular as I feel they are pertinent to Mr Cini's role and/or recommendation as an Employment Relations Mediator. However, as qualified as he may be, quality was lacking and business acumen was inadequate. Based on my experience, I would not recommend at all.

Though it has been a few years since I've worked with this contracting company, while I was with them they helped me find regular work to pay the bills and I will forever be grateful to them for allowing me to work despite the fact that I had very little local work experience. The people who I was working with were mostly migrant students who like me were looking for work but unable to find anything or anyone that would hire. During my time with them I did everything from building stalls for exhibitions, working in a recycling centre, building warehouse shelves and more. It was a fun experience and I got to work with alot of down to earth and hard working locals. It really helped me appreciate hard physical work and what people who do this for a living have to go through. The staff at World Worker's and David who was my sort of go to person at the organization were very helpful and were constantly finding a stream of weekly work for me to do. They aren't as big as organization as Extrastaff, but that allows them to give more attention to the people that do pass through their office doors in my opinion.

As part of being on my particular payment, I had to attend an employment solutions office where I can get help and support on how and where to go about looking for a job. Having been referred to Mission Australia by Centrelink, I was very underwhelmed. The office itself looks a little dodgy and there was a few interesting people waiting out the front for the doors to open. However, the man who conducted my interview was very nice and seemed to have gone through the process numerous times before. He explained everything that we needed to fill out and hand in and then organised a follow up appointment in the instance that I still found myself unemployed. He also said that everyone who is member with them has access to South Australian and national job guides, internet and printing facilities which is really great and can go a long way to help improve one's chance of getting a job.

Having moved across town I was forced to move away from my trusty Norwood Centrelink to the…read moreTorrensville Office, where I discovered there was good and bad differences. I turned up there very early on a Friday morning for an appointment thinking the business would be open at 8am - like Norwood. However, to my dismay the sign said 8:30am, and I had to wander up and down Henley Beach road looking at shops that weren't open. Great. Once I got in though, my experience greatly improved. The girl was very helpful and said I didn't in fact need an appointment and then organised an appointment time that suited me for much later in the month which is great as you can put it out of your mind for a while. There is plenty of on site parking and it is easier to access off Henley Beach Rd than it was from the busy Parade at Norwood. There was also at least 5 or 6 staff on at 8:30am which is great to cater to the early crowd like me!

This place has very helpful staff. They walk around the long queues to check people are a) in the…read moreright queue and b) have access to the correct forms or anything they might need. Plenty of access to computers and printers.
