First was told that there was a mix up and the company missed my order on Tuesday but had been picked up that morning. Further into conversation was told that it was still waiting to be picked up. I then said I was going to be in Adelaide the next day and I could pick it up instead because it was an urgent order which is why I paid for express. I was told that they needed to speak with their manager and then call me back. There was no call back. Come to today, the following Monday and my parcel has finally arrived, a week after ordering and paying for express. The contents however are incorrect. I have called them again. I need to wait and call them back tomorrow though because apparently there are a lot of online orders and they can't talk to me about mine. They also need to speak with whoever packed my order. Very very uncooperative. I asked to speak with the manager. Was told that the manager probably wouldn't want to talk with me. I was put on hold. Dead silence for 15 minutes before I hung up. So I've paid for an order with express shipping. Incorrect order delivered, was not treated as express and unwilling to help rectify the problem. Definitely do not recommend this company.

Bulk is bigger and better!…read more Having frequented Gaganis for years it has become my monthly ritual shop to stock up on raw foods. Fortunately they extended the trading hours on Saturdays to 2.30pm awhile ago so that there is no longer a mad dash down Port Rd on Saturday mornings. Excellent prices and and a great range of Mediterranean/European food keep me coming back. I'm obviously a fan but not alone - nearly the entire Greek/Italian population of Adelaide pass through this enormous warehouse regularly. If you are in the market for continental meats, cheese, coffee, bread, olive oil, nuts, seeds, herbs, condiments, baking items etc etc - this is the place to head. The more obscure can also be found ... canned chipotles, dried cherries, a whole sauerkrauted cabbage and maraschino cherries with stems were all noted on a recent visit. (They have also extended their range of Indian foods.) New to Gaganis is the Greek equivalent of Bunning's sausage sizzle. Daily you can smell the enticing smell of grilled beef chevapchichi, warmed pita, onions and a continental salad wafting through the car park. Certainly more tempting and less fattening (maybe?) and definitely more entertaining (the Greek chef always has an anecdote) than the more conventional Aussie alternative! Beware: Christmas and Easter are potentially fraught as the car park overflows and tempers fray!!

I've even said (though I didn't mean it) that I hated my computers. I've several times threatened too throw my computers our of the second storey window. But I just went in to buy a USB. Which I did. But I didn't think the purchase was enough to properly give a review credibility. So I tried to start chatting to the guy serving me. There wasn't anyone else in the store, at the time (it was midday), so he didn't have any qualms about talking. He started to give me free advice, like how often I should defragment and deformat my computer. And then we breached over into the topic of computer games, and we started to swap stores and (virtual) experience. I started to get so into the conversation that I'd forgotten why I started it in the first place. And hell, I even learned some things. These guys love their computers. That's all there is to say, really. That's the kind of people you want to leave your expensive equipment with, and at the Adelaide Computer Superstore, that's precisely what you're doing.

The worst retail experience I have ever endured. I was sold…read morethe wrong laptop battery despite providing serial number and model details. I checked no less than 3 times with the warehouse guy during 3 separate telephone conversations. I was assured 3 times that the battery they could supply would suit my computer. It did not. When I presented myself and the incompatible battery for a refund the proprietor took the battery behind the counter to the office/store area to check that it was "one of ours" ... "It's just normal procedure" he said. He reappeared several minutes later claiming that the battery I had returned was indeed not one of theirs. The lengthy "discussion" that followed eventually resulted in a begrudged refund ... no apologies or attempts to supply an appropriate battery for my extremely common Macbook Pro were forthcoming. In my opinion the warehouse guy was having a very bad day when he supplied the battery on the day of purchase. The front counter sales person on that day is an honest bloke and supported me during the "discussion" on the day of return/refund. The proprietor on the other hand is shonky at best ... beware ...
