We spent $20 per person and we got unlimited rides throughout the SDCC weekend. Some trolley stops have parking where you can leave your car parked for free and you can just hop on the trolley, however many do not. Regardless, the trolley is definitely helpful if you don't want drive and rather avoid parking fees. My favorite line is the Blue Line as it's less congested and covers a lot of DT San Diego, all the way to San Ysidro! I took the line from E street and it dropped me off at 12th and Imperial which wasn't too far from the Hilton next to the Convention Center. The Green Line was cool too but it's arguably the most popular route as it takes you directly to Old Town, the Convention Center, Seaport and other major destinations. Just be prepared to wait before you can actually board as odds are they'll be packed from door to door.

It is completely unacceptable to expect riders to sit in dirty conditions where they have to worry about pest infestations, let alone bringing roaches home on their backpacks, belongings, or clothes. Beyond the pests, the interior maintenance is dynamic and lax--seats are broken, dislodged, and clearly not being properly inspected or cleaned. Public transportation needs to provide a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for the passengers who depend on it every single day. Management needs to address pest control and vehicle maintenance immediately.

My phone screen is shattered and I have large, colorful bruises all along my knees and left thigh which appeared immediately. I was even bleeding a bit through my clothes. He adamantly refused, stating that "HE (personally) didn't spill the water" and "can't be everywhere at once" lol. The manager had the sense to apologize but was condescending. Talking over me the entire time, loudly defending the janitor within earshot of him. Mansplaining excuses that are NOT the customer's burden to understand such as: "we can't hire janitors 24/7" and "you said the spill looked like it was there for a while? Well, he ONLY clocked in 1hr ago and cleans the restrooms first". How is that my business lol? Any assigned duty during his shift is his responsibility. It's just common sense to apologize. Your internal staffing issues are also not a customer concern; you simply need more janitors or at least for them to prioritize tasks more efficiently. I've worked as a server and can't count the number of times I've had to fix and take accountability for a previous shift's mistake, btw. Annoying to listen to the manager trying to refute and twist all of my legitimate points in the janitor's defense. Yet, fully admitting that he needs to be admonished. Stop being your employee's boy. Teach basic respect. He even countered that this person is a "third party" hire when I pointed out that he still works for and therefore, represents Amtrak. Ridiculous LMFAO. I wasn't exactly sure how this whole thing worked since I'm not from here, but the attendant was nice and explained that my train would have a line up starting 20 minutes before boarding, then we'd all board together. Although I wanted to ride from here for Jury Duty, I decided to pay the $40 Ace parking downtown than risk paying for a $400 towing fee and effort to retrieve my car.

My only gripe is that I wish I would have known about it earlier, lol. The app was easy to use and book a ride. When I first loaded it up, I thought it wasn't working, but it was just that the ride window had not started yet (it starts taking rides at 7am, and I was looking at 6:50a). I was able to book a ride immediately and it gave me a waiting time of about 3 minutes. The wait time was not entirely accurate, as it ended up being closer to 10 minutes. But, once I was picked up, it was smooth sailing. I even had my luggage with me, and while it was tricky, I was able to fit it all in the vehicle. Driver was super friendly, too. Because this is totally free, and worked for my needs, I'm giving it five stars. But this is not a good service if you are in a hurry or are particular about how you want to travel. It was an open-air vehicle, which meant no windows and no A/C. We also stopped to pick someone else up so you won't necessarily get a direct ride. If that's important to you, you should get an Uber or Lyft instead. It also does NOT go to the airport, so you will need a rideshare for that. Also, I used this service in the early morning. I can't speak for during peak times. But for back and forth from the convention center in the early morning, it was perfect. And since everything else in SD is so expensive, I'll take whatever savings I can get.

We went to Catalina for three days and attempted to use this app for ridesharing. A few times it…read moreworked out fine but most of the time it was horrendous. One time we waited 20 minutes for a ride, and then as we saw the golf cart approaching, instead of turning right and picking us up 20 feet away from them, they turned left and then appeared to have taken some other ride and then it said it was going to be seven more minutes before they got back to us. Another time it said 22 minutes and three stops and it took a long time for it to eventually make it down to eight minutes and one stop, way more than 14 minutes. And then apparently they took other rides in front of us because it shot back up to 17 minutes and three stops again. In the end, after 15 minutes of waiting, the wait time was only five minutes shorter. I cannot actually even count how many times we attempted to take a rides with them and it took so much longer than it initially said that we had to cancel the ride and just walk. This was especially disappointing because we had some seniors in our party with mobility issues and walking was a real challenge for them. Shame on this app for wasting peoples time and giving such poor Customer Service, especially to elderly people. Fortunately, for our last two necessary rides on the island, we discovered that there was a taxi service and we were able to take that. It was a little more money, but way worth it. They arrived in less than five minutes and took us right where we needed to go, no stops and ridesharing involved.
