We used Going Places Travel for a recent two-week trip to Europe from California, and let me assure…read moreyou that their 5-star rating is much-deserved. Our travel specialist was Laura--based out of northern California, I believe, which nonetheless didn't present any logistical difficulties for us down here in San Diego. Via a series of emails and phone calls over several days, Laura set up every facet of our trip to two countries and three cities after presenting us with multiple choices and price points: flights (outbound from LAX, inbound to San Diego), hotels, private car transport, etc. Because the trip was a last-minute getaway, our plans were somewhat fluid and dependent upon availability--and Laura didn't bat an eye when we suddenly switched our destination from Barcelona to London for the first week of the trip. Overall, Laura's work ethic in nailing down our logistics was Herculean, to say the least. We're looking forward to our next trip abroad in 2025, and will certainly use Going Places and Laura when we do.

He was very knowlegable and took our concerns seriously. The problems weren't where we were going. He suggested an excellent hotel, the Excarate Arte. We then got upgraded to the Hotel de Playa! Ready to explore? A little too busy to research and plan every aspect of your trip? Don't know…read morewhere to go or what you will like? Ask Ros! I just had Ros plan an 11 day trip for my girlfriend and I in Bali. The trip was life changing to say the least! My girlfriend and I are extremely busy business professionals and had no time to research and plan a vacation halfway around the world. After some recommendations from close friends, I contacted Ros. From there, the entire aspect of planning was seamless. She got to know what both my girlfriend and I liked, when we wanted to visit Bali, and our budget. She arranged our air travel, travel insurance, accommodations, activities, and recommended sights to see. This trip would have not been possible without her. The reason I say this is because I would have never taken the time out of my busy life to put such care and research into traveling."Not having the time" is not longer and excuse, people! I will continue to recommend Ros to my friends as they did to me. Here's to the next adventure...

She responded to my inquiry during a family emergency of hers. I offered to reschedule but she insisted, because "I love my job". She had read my inquiry in more detail than other agents. She understood my needs and desires better than others, especially my desire to not need luxury services aimed at a different kind of client. After more discussion, she realized I had done more research than a typical client. She said it would be unethical business practice to offer to help. Even after that, she has been very communicative with tips for having a good trip. She already knows I am not giving her money, but she is still being responsive and very helpful. That's great customer service.

I paid an arm and a leg for the room but it was absolutely massive and I had sliding glass doors directly onto my own private patio which was right next to the pool overlooking the ocean, it was really incredible despite how outdated the room felt, somehow the size of the room made it more modern and it felt clean. The people at the front desk were young, fun, outgoing, really friendly and I appreciated that. They told me about some happy hour they were having later in the day and I felt very welcome here unlike other hotels I stayed at in the San Diego area. The bathroom was huge in my room, very weird vibe, like felt cabin-like, I don't know how else to explain it, but it was spacious, big countertop by the sink plenty of room to get ready. The coffee bar had an enormous countertop which was great for keeping all of my things, huge mirrors everywhere too. The bed was really comfortable, again great view outside, awesome staff. It was so nice to be able to walk the boardwalk and pop back in here whenever I needed to grab something or use the restroom. Walking distance to everything. Highly recommend, I would definitely stay here again. But I probably won't because the cost is INSANE. Sorry but it is. Also housekeeping found my jewelry box loaded with jewelry and returned it to the front desk who subsequently shipped it back to my house for me. For a charge of course but I do appreciate the honesty of the staff that goes a long long way! Thank you!!

There were 7 of us on the trip, and everyone had a fantastic time in no small part due to the effort that Joaquin, Marleny, and our drivers (Abel, Edgar, and Carlos) put into making our experience very special. Working with Joaquin to plan the trip was seamless and straightforward. He provided extremely useful information, and when our trip approached he and Marleny finalized the itinerary and provided us with concise yet very important information on how to cross the border and meet our driver. I had never crossed the border on foot, but it was pretty seamless. It's about a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from the border to Ensenada, and I didn't feel comfortable doing that drive on my own, so having Baja Winery Tours provide transportation was essential and eliminated the stress of getting around. Baja Winery Tours set up all the reservations at wineries and restaurants in Valle de Guadalupe. The wineries we visited were on point, and the food was absolutely spectacular. I was glad that we were able to have everything arranged, and be high quality, without having to do a ton of research. On our last full day, our dinner ran a little long and then we hit a bit of traffic getting back to the hotel. Our driver handled these issues with grace and full understanding. I would highly recommend having Baja Winery Tours provide all the logistics and travel if you're planning on visiting the area. Everyone there worked really hard to make sure we have a blast, and I look forward to coming back soon.
