I highly, HIGHLY recommend booking a photo tour with WPA!! I booked a one-day trip with Wilf. My idea was this: After receiving a very cool Nikon camera as a birthday gift, I wanted to find someone who could actually help me learn to use it and be able to shoot some memorable places in the meantime. Well, Wilf did not disappoint!! We did a day tour of Carcassonne, which is an amazing medieval castle in the south of France. As soon as I met Wilf, I knew I was in good hands! He is a very down-to-earth person, he made me feel very comfortable with my lack of knowledge about my camera and he assured me that by the end of the day, my photo-taking skills would improve. Well, they did! He showed me how to make every photo count, meaning every picture I take now is a great one (so I think). More importantly, it was the whole experience that I would like to thank Wilf for. Of course the location was fantastic, but it was Wilf's approach that really made the whole day so memorable - he is full of interesting facts, he really knows his stuff, he doesn't judge you and takes things at your pace. Not only did I learn a lot, but I felt like I was on an adventure with an old friend the whole time, and you just can't beat that! I know they do tours all over the world, but I am seriously considering joining up with WPA again for their Thailand tour. I wanted to thank Wilf for this wonderful experience and I highly recommend this to anyone interested in discovering something new about themselves or their cameras. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Wilf J.

Over the past four decades, photographer and WPA Founder Wilf has gathered a wealth of experience by doing what he does best: taking photographs. In 1975, Wilf attended a presentation in London given by photography icon Ansel Adams, whose photographs and lecture made a life-changing impression. Today Wilf takes pleasure in sharing his lifelong passion of taking photograph with others through the Photo Tours and Workshops run by World Photo Adventure.

The 2 hour…read morelessons are really good as it gives you time to get into what you are doing and the regularity of lessons means it helps stick in your brain! Theory test was organised easily for me and was able to be postponed for me. the resources/access and helpful revision material was set up which made the theory test a lot easier. The use of videos are great as they have the theory and real life footage which you can watch again and again to make sure you really understand it. I didn't think I could learn and pass in such a short amount of time but I did it with carcaptain's help! Practical was arranged very quickly!!

They arranged a test quickly and efficiently even though I was really specific about both the date and time I wanted to do. Within a couple of days of getting on the phone with them they had secured a test 11 days later and arranged the time I wanted for my lessons. My driving instructor was lovely, really patience and managed to iron out the bad habits I picked up from 5Day. I took my test today and passed, but to be honest whether or not I passed I would still be writing them a great review Its a great service!
