    BSM

    BSM

Everything to do with BSM is a complete DISASTROUS NIGHTMARE! AVOID AVOID AVOID! I needed to change…read moremy lesson, so I called a week before it was scheduled to change it, but could not get through to anyone during their phone line opening hours. I had to request THREE callbacks, only to never be called back by a BSM agent. Finally, two days later, I call BSM again (spending lots of money from my mobile on their stupid expensive 0845 phone number), only to be told that I cannot switch my lesson or get a refund for it because it is now too soon to my upcoming lesson (even though I politely explained that I had tried calling days before without any luck). I'm thereby obligated to either lose out on the money I already paid for to have my lesson, or to keep my original lesson that is now very inconvenient for me. I therefore have to change my plans around so I can have my lesson. Time for the lesson comes and after 15 minutes of waiting outside for my instructor who has not yet showed, I have to pay a lot of money from my phone again to call BSM since no one even tried contacting me. I get through to someone, who then has to call my no-show instructor and puts me on hold. Then I'm told that the instructor "has had a puncture and is not in a good mood because of it" and that he would not be making it to my lesson that was supposed to start 25 minutes prior at this point. Again, I'm not offered a refund for BSM's negligence, and my 2 hours, which I switched plans around to make available, are wasted. I reschedule another lesson to make up for this one for a few days later, at a very inconvenient, very early time because this was all that was available for me by now. Time for this rescheduled lesson. After yet another 15 minutes of standing around outside in the cold, I have to call BSM yet again to find out why my instructor has again, not showed up. The lady on the phone at BSM says she will call the instructor to find out what's going on, and puts me on hold (wasting my money for the phone call, yet again). After about 5 minutes of being on hold, the instructor comes on the phone and seems very confused and keeps asking me who I am, what my name is, who he is talking to, etc. He explains that BSM has recently been bought out by a bigger company and that there have been "communication" problems as a result, and that he apologised that I would now be "sitting around for two hours" since he wouldn't be able to make my lesson, AGAIN! He went on to say that BSM schedules lessons for him and doesn't let him know, so that he didn't have my lesson down in his schedule and that "he didn't know what should even be in his diary". The instructor then tries to get me to reschedule again for the THIRD time, which I refuse to do, not to mention I don't have much time left at this point before my scheduled practical exam (along with BSM's limited availability of "lessons"). The instructor keeps telling me how the practical exam is getting much more difficult all the time, and that I was "making it seem much more straight forward than it actually is", etc., as if he wanted to make me feel unconfident about it so that I would actually reconsider rebooking. I told him I didn't have much time left before my practical exam and that I would just get a refund, which he said I should definitely be able to get, and then says to me "I'll leave that to you then" before hanging up. I just messaged BSM to explain my horrific experience with them, demanding my refund (not to mention all the time and expensive phone calls wasted by their complete lack of customer service and unbelievable negligence). Stay with the smaller driving school companies (such as Holborn School of Motoring, in Central London, etc.). I saw about three of their cars go by with pupils inside (who were actually receiving the lessons they scheduled and paid for!) each time I was waiting for my non-existent BSM lessons.

Drift Limits - Dodge Viper SRT Supercar Experience

Had a fantastic 1 hour introduction to driving for my 14 year old son. Nick, the instructor was…read morereally supportive and got him driving a manual car within minutes of getting in the car. He really enjoyed it, and the process was really smooth - we were in the car within 5 minutes of arriving. It seems the under 17 events are held on every Saturday, and then once a month on the last Sunday, but book up fast. Lois helped us book a future drive, and was really helpful too. Great experience!

I recently visited Drift Limits for a supercar driving experience, but unfortunately, my encounter…read morewas marred by several concerning issues that significantly detracted from the overall enjoyment. Firstly, the booking process was misleading and seemed geared towards upselling unnecessary upgrades. Initially advised to pay an extra £60 for an automatic car, I later discovered that the chosen experience could accommodate automatic cars without this costly upgrade. This approach feels disingenuous and left me questioning the integrity of their customer advice. Secondly, despite booking and paying for 8 laps per person, we were told we would only receive 4 laps each. This inconsistency and lack of transparency in fulfilling the booking are deeply disappointing. Moreover, the overall organization and management of the event were severely lacking. We booked for a 2:00pm session but ended up waiting for hours due to overbooking issues & only got in a car after 4:30pm. This mismanagement not only caused frustration but also resulted in wasted time and undermined the special occasion we were there to celebrate. Additionally, the condition of the car provided was substandard and unacceptable. The vehicle displayed signs of neglect, including visible moss growth between the mirrors and malfunctioning windscreen wipers. Such poor maintenance reflects poorly on Drift Limits' commitment to customer satisfaction and safety. - Drift Limits have denied these issues to me but I saw them very clearly. To make matters worse, my attempt to address these issues directly with Drift Limits was met with a dismissive response. Their reply was brief, and they did not seem interested in investigating or acknowledging most of the issues raised, instead deflecting by referring to terms and conditions that were not adequately disclosed prior to the experience. In summary, my experience at Drift Limits was marred by misleading practices, poor organization, and a lack of attention to basic service standards. I would caution anyone considering their services to thoroughly evaluate alternatives before committing to Drift Limits. They value money more than customer service. I expect Drift Limits to respond to this review with an explanation for each point how somehow it was the customers fault & explained in the t&c's I accepted etc, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend trusting their response in the slightest.

Disclaimer: unlike all the ladies who reviewed this place previously, I went there as a student…read more(short-course facial course) for 6 weeks - not for a treatment ! so I am not reviewing LCIBT as a beauty parlor but as an educational place. I have to say that the quality of teaching is impressive- I was trained by two ladies and both of them worked hard to make the hardest bone names and muscles sound easy and familiar ;-) * I have tried couple of other beauty colleges around London, and trainers there are just freaky ---but that's another issue I had a hand-on experience there (obviously on customers and on other students) which gave me confidence and pinpointed at areas I should work on to improve. so the two good points in this place are (1) quality of teachers, (2) the hand-on experience you get while you are training the not so appealing point was the price.. the course was over £600 which is why I can't afford to sign up for any other courses there- although I desperately want to try couple of other short courses. these prices might not apply if you are diploma student (talking with another student, I noticed she paid nearly nothing for 2-year comprehensive beauty course!)

I visited for an Indian Head Massage, on my budget pursuit to get rid of the pain, tension and…read moreaching in my neck and shoulders. Since ten minutes at Walk-In Backrub didn't seem to do the trick, a more lengthy student therapy was the next on my list of things to try. The salon is located in a posh listed building just south and east of Oxford Circus tube station on Upper Marlborough Street, and is rammed packed full of teenage learner estheticians dressed in white (the crowd of them at the reception counter where I needed to sign in was five deep, no joke) in the mani/pedi room at the front of the building. Once I did get signed in, I moved to the relative quiet of the waiting room, which offered quite comfortable plush settees. My trainee massage therapist came to get me after a while, offered me a cup of water that she already had in her hand (nice), and led me upstairs to the massage therapy room. The area where she seated me looked much like an A&E examination room, but I was somehow unbothered when I considered the £15 I paid for the service upfront. The massage began, and I felt as if the trainee was just touching me rather than massaging. I personally like a heavy massage hand. This said, I've never had an Indian Head Massage before, so I don't know if that's what it's supposed to be like. At one point when she leaned my head back to massage my neck and face, I was dreadfully uncomfortable, as I was slouched up with my neck craned backward simultaneously, so it was sort of the antithesis of a relaxing experience at that point. I left a little disenchanted by the entire experience, but I couldn't get upset when I only paid £15 for it. But then, later that night, I realized that the pain in my neck and shoulders had abated a bit. More so than it had when I had a woman manhandle me for a ten-minute rub elsewhere. I will probably go back for other treatments, because, well, it's so damn cheap. P.S. Book ahead.
