My wife and I joined this the Kompound in 2012. I was a BJJ blue belt and my wife a white belt. We went on to become black belts in 2019. It is a small school. It does not have a huge number of students...maybe 250. The Kompound is dwarfed by the biggest school in metro Denver which has 5,000. However, it makes up for its small size by being a competitive monster. At the 2019 IBJJF World Masters, it took home 5 gold medals while only sending 11 competitors. In the pro BJJ world, the school is a consistent winner. If you are interested in sport BJJ, this is the place to be.

I had been looking for a set of dumbbells for a while. I have been using the adjustable dumbbells for a while. However, those are a pain to work with.. having to adjust them for every workout was annoying. The set we had wasn't challengeIng enough for my hubby. So I wanted a full set of hex dumbbells. I couldn't find them anywhere. Finally, I called Fitness Gallery. The guy that answered the phone was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the products he had available. He said they had a vertical rack and dumbbell set. I was so excited! It was a very impulsive purchase. However, totally worth it! Fitness Gallery obviously sells very high quality equipment. I'm confident this set will last! Their store is very clean and has all the equipment any home gym would need! Don't even try with gyms anymore! Invest in a home gym!

I called asking about the Byrna after ordering online and realizing that I didn't know how to use it. I should have bought it directly from him (which I absolutely recommend over online), because he was so knowledgeable, helpful, and clearly passionate. I have an LE and it rocks. Going in there, I was nervous as I've never fired anything remotely resembling a gun before. He walked me through everything step by step, showed me little tips and tricks, and thoroughly answered my questions surrounding self defense laws and how to best protect myself, should I ever need to use it. His range is great, and I do know that he is going to expand it even further eventually, which is going to be a game changer. I am so thankful for this spot, and excited to return to keep practicing and learning more.

After being a member here for almost 2 years I have decided to update my review…read more I left because I feel like I have outgrown this gym. The coaches that I liked no longer work there so there was no need for me to be there anymore... I have found a new Muay Thai gym that I am very happy with, and that has also inspired me to update my review. My review for the coaches is specifically for the Adult Muay Thai program. Reasons for Stars: Front Desk: The front desk staff member is amazing. She will definitely make you smile no matter what. Prices: They are cheaper than most other gyms, especially if you start taking private classes. Coaches that are not mentioned below: They have coaches that are great, funny, and helpful and will give you a good workout. Members: The members that go there are pretty great and fun to talk to. No one is there to win a belt and they are very respectful fighters. I've been to other gyms where I have been terrified to spar people or partner with someone because I am worried that they will knock me out. No big egos here, except maybe some of the coaches. Reasons for Lost stars: Coaches: There are certain coaches there that have very bad attitudes. They are either in a bad mood and like to show it or just feel like insulting you for no reason. There is A LOT I can say about certain coaches, but I won't go on for sake of length. There are other coaches that are very talented in Muay Thai fighting, but as instructors, talk WAY too much and don't let you actually get a work out because they spend the whole time talking. Classes and class schedules: The advanced class is from 7-8:30 which is kinda late for someone that works really early in the morning. There are also a lot of beginners that jump in the advanced class that shouldn't be there. It happens a lot. I can't blame them though because the only other class in the evening is at 5:00 which is the beginner and its hard to get to. They also don't do enough sparring in my opinion. They said they were going to start sparring classes on Thursday nights but that didn't seem to happen. Cancellation: I got charged a 1 month cancelation fee instead of just having a membership for an extra 30 day once I gave notice. The owner said "The 30 day notice a.k.a. A one month cancellation fee is always scheduled for the day the account officially closes" and tried to argue that the cancelation fee and the 30 day notice are the same exact thing... In my history at every single gym I've ever been to, you give a 30 day notice, and you either roll over to another pay period but during that 30 days you have access to the gym. A 30 day notice and a cancellation fee are NOT the same. So expect a fee when you cancel, not just giving a notice...If you want the words exactly from their contract it says "If you have fulfilled the "initial period" of your membership contract, and your membership is currently month-to-month, only a 30 days notice applies as a membership cancellation (one month cancellation)." So take the BS statement with a grain of salt as well... If they would have told me flat out that I would have had a cancellation fee, and not try to be sneaky with their wording then I wouldn't have been as upset. Reasons I've outgrown: I don't think this gym does enough sparring. I also don't think there are enough women at the gym to spar with. The master coach is not in town a lot so its hard to get a fight if you are not one of the coaches. Personally, I think it's a good starter gym, but if you want to grow beyond that I am not really sure if its possible. But who knows. To each their own.

Never in a million years did I think I would be able to have something delivered and set up for me in my home. Then I made the wise decision to call Fitness Gallery. I spoke with a very kind and exceedingly helpful young man named Ryan. Trust me. He went above and beyond to help me and I put him through the wringer with a ton of questions, hesitations, and more questions. Even if I sent him an email on a weekend, he responded quickly. His knowledge of their products and patience were unlike any I have seen in a very, very long time. In fact, I would go so far as to say he restored my faith in customer service and attentiveness. Then, today, two young men pulled up in my driveway after a drive of nearly 5 hours. In around 30 minutes, they had my treadmill set up and ready to use. They were courteous and hard-working. This may sound silly to some, but I even noticed how straight they installed the floor mat and the treadmill in my office. I'm very much a person that likes to have things neat and orderly and I could not have done it better myself. So today, I have the privilege and the pleasure of reading my owners manual and finally having a treadmill in my home with which to improve my health and well-being. No more dreading the gym because of how many people will be judging me for my size and lack of physical fitness. No more embarrassment. I can focus on what matters most. My health. The ability to do so is all due to Fitness Gallery and the helpfulness of Ryan Greer!

It was a flat bench with an upper and lower pulley ~~ pretty simple. These units are sold with a "lifetime warranty," which is a main reason to buy one. About four years ago I had a pulley cable break. I tried calling and e-mailing Tuff Stuff, which is headquartered in Chino, CA. No answer either way. Fitness Gallery was sympathetic but it was a "manufacturer's issue." I bit the bullet and had Fitness Gallery repair it. This cost me around $150. Last month the cable started fraying again. FG sent out another repair guy to replace the cable. This time it was $318. So I'm into this for around $500 ~~ just for cable repairs. Keep this cost in mind when you are looking at buying any Tuff Stuff equipment from Fitness Gallery. The "lifetime warranty" isn't lifetime, and the Tuff Stuff isn't tuff. Buyer beware. * The max load I put on these cables is 180 lbs for back rows.
