I rarely leave reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership July 2025 and later discovered in August it was sold to me with incorrect tires and a battery degradation issue that should have been addressed before the sale. Once the paperwork was signed, the level of customer service changed drastically. It tools 5 months to get a them to assist after showing up at the dealership and basically refusing to leave until I was assured and they took 6 hours The sales manager, Josh, was extremely rude and dismissive when I brought my concerns forward. I felt misled during the sales process, as promises made to close the deal were not honored afterward. It became clear that once the transaction was complete, resolving the issues was no longer a priority. I also interacted with Erica (unsure of her exact role), who presented herself as being helpful and understanding. However, I did not feel that my concerns were genuinely addressed. Instead, I felt my situation was minimized while internal staff supported one another rather than working toward a fair resolution. My advice to anyone purchasing a vehicle here: Do not leave the lot if there are outstanding issues. Ensure everything is documented and completed before you drive off. This place is almost comically bad - probably the worst business I've ever dealt with. When I first leased the car, the process took 4.5 hours. When I bought out the lease - just buying out the lease - the process took 3.5 hours. During that buyout, they said I qualified for one interest rate, and then they called me back 5 days later saying no, my interest rate was 1.25 points higher than what we had agreed to. 1 STAR -- Deceptive Advertising. Do NOT trust their internet pricing. I found a 2026 Kia Sportage SX-Prestige AWD (Stock #19594) advertised on their website for $17,594. Before making the drive, I called the dealership on March 2nd to confirm the price. A representative confirmed it. I even have a printed PDF of their listing showing the $17,594 internet price. I arrived at the dealership on March 3rd at 1pm to discuss the numbers ahead of my 2pm test drive appointment. The dealership refused to honor the advertised price. I asked to speak with the General Manager, who also refused to honor it and blamed their advertising agency for the error. The listing was still live on their website at the time of my visit. I drove to this dealership in good faith based on a confirmed advertised price and was turned away without even getting to test drive the vehicle. I have since filed complaints with the Illinois Attorney General's office and the Illinois Secretary of State Dealer Services division. Illinois law requires dealers to honor advertised vehicle prices. Save yourself the trip -- if you see a price on their website, get it in writing before you go. I have nothing but bad experience with this dealership. When I bought my car our salesperson took advantage of me and my mother. He announced to the WHOLE dealership that we bought the car before even saying yes. We felt obligated to do so considering everyone was staring at us. The top it off my salesperson doesn't work there anymore. He told me one of my tires was low on pressure and filled it up and I've had nothing but problems with that exact tire. They filled it uo and left me to deal with it considering it has a nail in it. I will never do business with this dealer again. If you value your hard earned dollars you won't give them your business. I purchased a 2016 4Runner As-Is from this dealership in November 2024. Since the truck was As-Is I had a REASONABLE expectation that it would need some work. While I was looking the truck over, the salesman made a point to show me on the liftgate where they had repaired some rust. When someone tells me they've fixed something I expect that they've fixed it. Two weeks after purchase I made an appt to have the truck serviced because it was leaking power steering fluid and the rear windshield had fallen and wouldn't go back up. When I dropped the truck off I explained to the service guy that I thought the rear windshield probably wasn't put back together correctly when they fixed the rust. This was by far one of the WORST service experiences of my life. They had my truck for damn near two weeks just to fix the power steering issue. I was supposed to get my truck back before Christmas I did not. The only reason they provided me with a rental on 12/23 is because I flipped out on them. They do not communicate whatsoever. They did not provide updates on the progress of my repair unless I badgered them for it. That alone is enough for me not to go back there. Ultimately, they did fix the power steering. Now let me tell you about the liftgate. As I stated, the salesman told me they repaired the rust on the liftgate. Imagine my surprise when they told me the liftgate could not be fixed because the inside of it was so incredibly rusted out. According to them the only solution was to replace the entire liftgate and all the hardware for the window controls. I about lost my mind. How are you going to tell me this sucker is rusted beyond repair when you told me you fixed it? Oh I know! It's because you're dishonest, a liar, a cheat, etc. But I digress. World Kia's response was you bought it As-Is there's nothing we are going to do. Which is WILD because every member of the team who was involved in this situation agreed that there was no way I could have known how wrecked the liftgate was unless I pulled off the interior panel. It is now August 2025 and I just finished installing the new liftgate, window regulator, and motor. However, I'm missing one piece of the puzzle because I haven't been able to get the window working (there is power to the rear lights and back up camera). I took the truck to the dealership to ask them to do me a solid since they lied about their work and it cost me an additional $2700 to repair. I was polite. The first guy I spoke to was a total asshole. Before I even said anything to him he said "that truck was sold 7mo ago." I said "yeah that was me!" I explained the situation and with all the condescension he could muster he said "I work for Kia. I get paid by the hour..." I remained calm and said cool I'm going to go talk to them now. I went to the main dealership and talked to the kid in service. I again explained the situation this time stressing that I was giving them the opportunity to make this right and that I hadn't gone scorched earth over this yet. Kid tells me they have to charge me to diagnose it to which I said absolutely not. I asked for the service manager who was conveniently in a meeting. I said that's fine here's my number have him call me. Naturally he never called. It's been two weeks since I spoke to them without any response. And to top this all off, there's no AC. Like it needs to be charged and it's clearly pointless to go back to the dealership. So I figured it's time to warn as many people as possible away from purchasing from them. I'll start off by saying everyone is very nice and the car buying process was good. But since then I've had nothing but issues. I had a bad experience having to wait 2 hours for an oil change and Erica called me to ask how my service was and I told her I was not happy with it and essentially bribed me to leave a 5 star review on a recorded line in order to receive a gift card. So I did. (Never got a gift card) Also told her my radio doesn't work and she said she would promise to get that fixed for me (never did) never heard from her at all. Now my car is leaking oil and I had to bring it in 4 times in a month and a half because they said they fixed it but it was never fixed. The 4th time it seems to be working fine but now my tires have low pressure. You'd think after having my car for 4 days they would check the pressure and fill them, especially in the dead of winter. Every single time I come here I leave and something else happens. I always feel they do the bare minimum to "fix" problems. Kia paid off the SORENTO Hybrid EX 2025 1mo and 3-days later way past the 10-day payoff period. Kia shorted me 109.70 on my refund. 5/29/25: Tire popped during attempt to turn into VCA Franklin Park's parking lot. Front right side tire flat. My son and I attempted to jack up the car with the jack provided by World of Kia. We removed the lug nuts and tried to remove the damaged tire. Jack started to bend and tilt. Tire became stuck as we removed it. Called a friend to use their jack to remove the faulty jack and the damaged tire. Luckily no one was hurt. If it wasn't for our friend, the car would've fallen on the tire and slammed to the ground. Made an appointment 5/30/25 at 9:30Am to get the tire replaced at Kia in Elmhurst. 5/30/25: arrived at Kia Elmhurst. We couldn't find the wheel replacement guarantee. Called World of Kia Joliet to find out about the policy. They referred back to finance and waited on hold and it rang over and over again. Called back and they reconnected me. Talk to Brent White. He denied I had the coverage and I disagreed. He retorted snidely, "Jason, don't put words in my mouth. Pay for the damage you caused and hung up on me". So, I cancelled my appointment and left Kia of Elmhurst and went to Sam's Club and got a new tire to replace the damaged one. Bought and appropriate jack for an SUV 2.5 ton to replace the busted Kia jack made for a sedan 1.5 ton. 5/30/25: called to talk to Brent's boss, which was the GM. The administrative assistant said he wasn't available and will send him the message to call me back. June 3, 2025: Waited patiently for 4-days with no call back. Called back and talked again to the same administrative assistant and she said that the other GM is busy with a customer. She will call me back, she had said. I purchased a brand new 2025 Kia K4 expecting reliability, but I've had nothing but problems starting from the second day after purchase. That's right--Day 2, and the car was already in the service department for engine issues. That same week they told me that there was a 10 year warranty and that they would replace the engine! Mind you it's a brand new car not a used car! Why in the world would anyone purchase a vehicle with known issues let alone a vehicle with a bad engine why would I want them to replace the engine! And All Finance person and the service team could say is it's too early and too soon for a trade. Wait a minute A trade you gave me a bad car! Now fix this issue! Give me what I paid for change this car our I didn't bargain for a car with issues! They have replaced several components in the engine already and it's still having issue's and not working properly! I'm not going to stop talking about this until they replace the car not the engine the entire car! Even if I have to take this to law that exactly where it's going! Because we are paying for a new car not a used car with issues! Since then, it's been an ongoing nightmare. I've had to bring the car back multiple times, and the issue still hasn't been resolved. I'm now on my second oil consumption test and my third loaner vehicle. That is completely unacceptable for a brand new vehicle that should be worry-free. Every time I bring the car in, I'm hopeful for a solution, but instead I leave feeling even more frustrated and disappointed. No one seems to have a clear answer, and the lack of a permanent resolution is making me lose all confidence--not just in the vehicle, but in the dealership and the Kia brand altogether. Nice environment when I first walked in but Had a very negative experience with Mike. When I asked I only want to look at the vehicles before we start any paper work he insisted on starting paper work first and that I couldn't look at them til we finish our paper work. He said if I wanted to look I can look online but not in person. When I said I only want to look at cars he said fine go look I'll be here. This is not a salesman who cares, I have been in the sales industry and have family who are in it. When that was said I said I would like my drivers license back please and he kept asking why and I explained why. I first went to World Kia in Matteson and was approved for a newer car. Then they suddenly tried to switch me into an older one. That didn't feel right, so I went to their Joliet location hoping for better treatment. Big mistake. Even though they already ran my credit in Matteson, they reran it again in Joliet for no reason, hurting my score more. I felt pressured to move forward because I really needed a car. After buying it, the car broke down shortly after. I was never given any paperwork or inspection report. They sold it "as-is," but under Illinois law, even "as-is" cars must be safe for 15 days or 500 miles. Mine wasn't. No one ever called me back about the warranty either. From the credit hits to being sold a broken car, the whole process felt shady and unfair. To Ms. Parnell and others with Sunbit loans: A similar thing happened to me. I believe my Sunbit loan was signed under false pretenses. If you were misled, you may be able to rescind or void the contract due to fraud or lack of disclosure by World Kia Joliet. Send a written dispute to the lender and report it to the Illinois Attorney General's office. Be careful. Ask questions, get everything in writing, and know your rights. read more

Stay far away from this dealer. Their service department will up charge you for EVERYTHING. I went in there for them to take care of 5, yes 5 recalls, and had the worst experience. While there they asked if I wanted my brakes done for $600. No thank you, I came to check the 5 recalls. They had to replace the engine for 1 of the recalls. I had also asked them to repair a specific AC vent control actuator and they said they'd have to run a diagnostic when I told them exactly what was wrong with it. After the $230 diagnostic fee, the results were exactly what I asked them to repair. They said they'd fix it for an additional $500. Took my wife's Kia Sedona in for an oil change and they recommended that we needed to do $1600 worth of repairs. Most of these repairs were unnecessary expense. If I was an older person or someone who doesn't know any better they would have taken advantage of them. Not a good way to do business and take care of customers. If I could put no stars I would. This is the worse car buying experience I ever had. This js just one issue I had with them. I definitely would not go here again or recommend them. I did get a used 2024 Kia and they gave me 1 key and the salesperson stated that they only give 1 key for my car since they are no longer in production. The key they gave me was janky and I mentioned it multiple times to my salesperson and the finance officer when they handed it to me. I got home and the next day the key completely broke. I had to take it to a nearby dealership to get it fixed in the meantime I couldn't drive my car that I just purchased because I only had 1 key and it was broken. Reached out to World Kia and they refused to get me a key that actually would work. Instead they gave me a link to buy a refurbished key which I was told by another Kia dealership would not be able to be programmed to my car or I can purchase a key for $350 and pay $80 to get it programmed. So if you not buying a new car they dont care. I got my key fixed but the guy said I need to get a new key because the key they gave me will break again because the fob is completely cracked down the middle. Can you believe the salesperson told me the key worked when you left the dealership. Even after I expressed the key issue to the multiple times after they gave it to me.
