I immediately contacted the sales representative and customer service, sent pictures and video evidence, and explained my concerns. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I was told there was "nothing they could do" because there was no proof it came from their delivery truck! I feel my concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously. As a pregnant customer, this situation created unnecessary stress and concern for my family's health and safety. I went into Living Spaces to purchase a couch and was helped by Jacob. He was friendly and told me…read morethat if I needed to make any changes after placing the order, it wouldn't be a problem. He specifically said they usually waive any restocking fee when the change is for store credit. Later, I decided to make a very small change to my order. Before moving forward, I asked him point-blank, "Will this cost me anything?" His response was, "No, my friend." Imagine my surprise when I was later charged a $500 restocking fee. When I asked what the charge was for, I was simply told it was "company policy." Had I been told there would be a $500 fee, I never would have approved the change. To make matters worse, we spoke with the store manager hoping to resolve the issue, but she was incredibly rude and dismissive. There was no effort to understand what happened or make things right. We left feeling completely unheard and taken advantage of. This was, without question, the worst customer service my husband and I have ever experienced. We trusted what we were told by the salesperson, and that trust was broken. Based on this experience, we would never shop at Living Spaces again, and we certainly can't recommend them to anyone else.
