You definitely cannot peruse the merchandise without someone trying to show you something. The process kind of reminded of going to a car dealership and being bombarded by a bunch of salespeople. We were able to make some great purchases and the salespeople were actually very helpful and patient. There was a large selection of many of the brands that I know and love, so it was great to purchase them for slightly less. The value of the merchandise appeared good. I am glad that we had time to stop in and purchase some useful products to take home.

Not a bad store as it had every fragrance that I could think of and more. It is well stock with a lot of other items. I was specifically looking for perfumes. It is a little overwhelming if you walk in there with nothing specific. All of their fragrances have samples so you can take your time and sample. Some nice worker lady was helpful and nice enough to find what I was looking for. I don't remember her name, but she was nice and friendly. I was able to find something for me and my fiance. I will be stopping by next time I'm back.

Dirt free to boot! No tax's, however, you gotta carry these bags from airport to airport. What a pain in the ass!! The line was super long, but I'm guessing since I bought a significant amount she moved me to the front of the line!! Score! I was already super nervous about flying across the pond and this lovely lady Finona made this visit have a sweet ending! Thanks for having great employees! September 2023

Though I noticed some of the fragrances had some decent pricing that was comparable to online prices. The selection of goods is pretty extensive as it includes cosmetics, fragrances, liquor and souvenir foods. There is more than one World Duty Free store in Terminal 5. I saw a satellite store at Terminal 5B and the prices were slightly different. For the best selection, I would recommend shopping at the main store in Terminal 5 unless you are already at one of the satellite terminals already and don't want to backtrack.

There's lots of noise and bright lights so it's not a particularly pleasant area to wait until you get a gate assignment. The duty free area includes ALL of the high-end retail chains (including many foreign based retailers I've never heard of). If you're a shopper or like to browse, this area would be like nivarana to you. If you're just interested in an easy connection/departure (like me), this is not a "happy place".

We did not purchase any liquids, but would ask questions if you have some international transfers. At some of the airports we ended up needing to go through security again and liquids were not allowed- I'm not sure if having a sealed "duty free" bag would allow those items or if you would have to toss them. We ended up buying Fortnum and Mason biscuits and tea which was a good price. It was nice that they had a great variety of the items and the World Duty Free store was a lot less busy than when we visited the actual Fortnum and Mason store. This is a convenient place for last minute gifts or for caving in and grabbing a few more of your favorites before you head out. They had self checkout kiosks and when we were there everything was well stocked, clean and not too busy.

I tried calling the company responsible way too many times to count since the day after my luggage was promised to be delivered to me had passed, but no one ever picked up, and I was unable to leave a voicemail. I managed to find baggage enquiries at this terminal, but instead of being able to talk to someone, it was just a call box. I managed to speak to an employee who graciously took the time to escort me to an unauthorized office of the airport, so I can speak with the right person that could help me. This individual went above and beyond to try to locate my luggage. He was unable to due to no fault of his own (apparently the luggage system crashed at the airport the connecting airport in Belgrade). He took down my info along with my file reference number so he can pass this along, so my luggage could hopefully be shipped to me. He even gave me advice on what to do if it is not returned to me after a certain period of time. I wish I remembered the names of these two employees that went out of their way to help me. They made an anxious experience into a brighter one with their help. I'd also like to add that this was my sixth time flying into or out of Heathrow airport, and I always had a nice experience, thankfully.

I planned a well deserved vacation enroute back to Kenya from London, stealing an opportunity of a lifetime to visit and immerse myself in the African country of Seychelles. The Seychelles, in my opinion, is a close to a perfect tropical paradise as you can imagine, but I'll keep looking. My first leg of this journey was flying from Heathrow Airport to Doha aboard Qatar Airways, which is always a real pleasure.  A short two hour layover there, then off into the wild blue to Mahe Island, Seychelles.   We are staying at the Anantara Maia resort, an ocean front masterpiece of nature, beauty and tropical architecture. Being met by their transport vehicle complete with a cool minty fresh washcloth and cool tropical drink did add to my accolades for them,  even before setting eyes on their beautiful locale.  For those dreaming of locations such as fiji, while they are still on my list, shouldn't sleep on the Seychelles, one of the finest on the Indian Ocean. Succulent local fruits and veggies await thy palates (since going plant based, I can only attest to their veggies, fruits and they fed my sweet tooth well with intricate local pastries .  I had the privilege of 8 nights there, which still wasn't enough. Our Business Premier class ticket was checked upon entry and we were pleased to find a nice selection of complimentary alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and snacks. There are two levels serviced by stairs and only one elevator (which can be busy if the lounge is crowded). Bathrooms are clean and spacious. It is a little strange that business class passengers have to enter the station platform via the same access as all other ticket holders. There is no access to the platform from the second floor. As there is limited space on the train for suitcases, and you have to manage your own, you do need to board asap so you don't have to worry about finding a spot. Overall the lounge is a nice perk and a good place to wait for the train.

There's pretty much nothing after going through security, other than a tiny duty-free store and coffee shop, so this place is great to sit down out of the hectic main concourse area. Inside the Lounge, there is plenty of comfortable seats with wireless phone charging, there are also drinks and snacks available, including a small selection of beer, wine and spirits. It can get pretty busy but is obviously more comfortable than the main seating area, for all customers. The staff inside the Lounge are friendly, and they keep the lounge (including the toilets) clean. I did find the wireless charging difficult to use, as the tables were in opposite directions to the chairs, meaning lining it up properly would be a slight discomfort - not a big deal though. Not worth upgrading to the Business Premier ticketing for this lounge alone, but it certainly is a nice perk of travelling with Eurostar. 4*
