It's very spacious, very well lit, and very clean which is fantastic. There are multiple levels of parking available... I think at least two levels. One entrance only and one exit only which is the same as where the entrance is located. As you're exiting, you may hear some beeping noises. Don't worry... it's to alarm the pedestrians that there is a car at or near the exit. Or the other way around... it helps both parties either way. Thanks Playhouse Plaza for the extra attention and care for people! Some of the nearby businesses such as Basecamp and The Stand do validate for a minimum of 75 mins. I'm not sure if the Pasadena Playhouse validates so do find out before heading here. Nevertheless, parking cost is still very reasonable without validation. Perfect spot to park if you plan to walk around Pasadena. It's only one block south of Colorado Blvd. Happy Pasadena Parking!

I was a little suspicious about it, but couldn't find any official signs on their parking rates. When I left, I was charged $10.50. I asked the attendant why I was charged this rate, but the sign shows $5, and he said that's a flat rate that only applies if you enter the structure BEFORE 10am, and exit BEFORE 5pm. This place definitely needs more straightforward signage.

One of the two tunnels that go under Wilshire (the one closer to Park View Street) connecting the…read moretwo halves of MacArthur Park, is covered in 10 graffiti-style murals promoting education, music, Christianity, clean and sober living, and achieving dreams. Some of the murals are a bit horrific, showing a woman seemingly poisoning her child with drugs and skeletal people chained by poverty. The murals are all vibrant, and most of the people who go through the tunnel tend to ignore the art. When Brandon D. and I walked through and started taking pictures, it was then that others stopped to look. A couple of men remarked that they never really paid attention to the art on the walls before. Since this is a tunnel, the murals can be hard to see, even during the day when bright light floods the passage. The paint that was used is somewhat shiny, so it further makes it difficult to see from certain angles. However, looking down the tunnel from the lake side before sunset is glorious as all the colors pop from that angle. Graffiti art has this stigma attached, and really it's a vivid and versatile form. Glad to see someone's putting it toward positive messages.

Following this experience, it is clear that Michael is the best muralist in Los Angeles!! Michael met with me on short notice on a Sunday afternoon to review the space. Following our initial meeting, Michael and the wonder that is Vivache Designs agreed to meet personally with the client in order to create a custom Art Mural like none other in Downtown Los Angeles. Upon meeting with my client, Michael spent time, multiple sessions, getting to know my client and his inner desires and thoughts. This connection with my client went well beyond the average Muralist, and it allowed the two to connect on a level that would assure the most exquisite outcome, and Vivache Designs outdid all of our expectations. The amazing Mural art that Michael created in a timely manner using the highest quality materials and techniques serve as more than a conversation piece, they have become a daily inspiration for my client. It was one of two reasons why my visits were so frequent around these parts, until it closed down a couple years ago and my visits turned into just passing through. Indian Alley has changed that, it piqued my interest. We live in interesting times. Social issues that I thought were only found in history books are repeating itself. Will we every learn? It's a compelling 300 feet walk. Pieces ranges from medium poster size to an entire wall. Content matter comments on the past, present and hopefully a better future. This isn't just a random alleyway turned canvas by a handful of artists. This alley has a lot Native American History. It stands both as a reminder and to raise awareness. I don't remember how I discovered this place online but i'm glad i did! There's a gate on the Winston side. It's an exit from the other side. It's possible that when These Days Gallery is open, the gate is also open but it's just a theory until my next visit. Most parking is metered with two or three free parking spots. My favorite piece is the War Paint piece. It's spray cans with a Native American Man on the label. It's to combat racism, oppression and colonization. It's also to open up the mind! It's colorful and striking! Tips: - Enter from Werdin Street, if you're planning to visit early. - There's free parking on Winston Street. - Be careful and try not to visit at night - Bring a camera and some friends, make it a day of exploring Downtown Los Angeles It's part of the LA's history, paying a visit won't be anything but beneficial!

This is an excellent company and I'm so happy with my decision…read more Let me start by saying this is the first time I've hired a muralist and I am also a first time father. This was important to me. Jeanine took the time to listen to what I was looking for and suggested a few things to help grow my idea. I loved that. She came over and was so kind and really took time to understand this was more than just a job; this was something my kid is going to grow up with. She took measurements, and even took color swatches of the carpet and furniture to make sure we matched the color palette! She quickly mocked something up and a few days later I had a photoshopped mockup for approval. Once we approved it we setup a date and I paid the deposit. Marcus was the artist that was assigned to this project. He was so kind and wonderful in my home. He let my wife and I peek and see progress, and would check in with me if he had any questions. He's a really talented artist and executed my vision faithfully. At the end of the day my wife cried (with joy), we have our incredible mural and I couldn't recommend this company enough. Really pleased with how it turned out and I will be calling them again for my next mural or art project.
