This is the soul very happy. I might even try a Storm 3 ball arsenal just because their balls have scents added.

One of the best new bowling experiences ever, Gary measured my fingers and hand to perfection. He is the 1st wonder of the bowling world. All the guys in the shop are very knowledgeable on how to set up a bowling ball which can give you a better shot at one day reaching perfection. It helps to know your throwing speed and if you want a 3 or 2-finger ball. I started with a 2 finger but went back and got the thumb drilled for greater stability. My arsenal is now 900 global Zen and Soul so I will be going back shortly to get the Zen U. Tomorrow I will be going to get thumb quick-release slugs put in. Best bowling shop in the DMV and trust I'm critical of everything. Now the shop will get a little claustrophobic with all the people being in such a small shop but it is worth every penny when you get the service, expertise, and legendary measurements to make your bowling top-notch.

Visited this shop on 1/26/19 for the first time with the wife so I could get my new (actually old, purchased year and half ago) ball drilled. Gary, I believe, fitted me for a conventional layout and even threw in a quick lesson. I purchased this ball on amazon so all I needed was drilling which cost only $35. All the employees seem like genuine, good people and I will recommend this shop going forward to all friends and family. For a customer that is new to this particular hobby/sport, i was taken back by how friendly and helpful the whole staff was..A++++++ I suggest stopping by this store before purchasing balls or shoes online for they have comparable if not better prices at World Class Pro Shop!!

For the history nerds, there are two bowling alleys on The White House campus. The one this refers…read moreto is the Truman Bowling Alley. It was once inside the actual White House, but was moved to the Old Executive Office Building in 1955. (The original room that housed it is now the Situation Room.) There is still a bowling alley inside the actual White House, but that was built as a single-lane bowling alley in the 1970s under the Nixon Administration. The Nixon Bowling Alley isn't accessible to more White House staff, but the Truman Bowling Alley is! If you get the coveted invitation to the Truman Bowling Alley, go! Like all White House visits, you'll need to fill out a form beforehand that will get you past two security areas. (The second is like going through airport security.) The Truman Bowling Alley is in the basement of the Old Executive Office Building with clearly marked signs. Once in the basement, you'll walk through a no-frills hallway that feels more like a Cold War-era bunker. Step inside the bowling alley into a small kitchenette area with a display telling the Truman Bowling Alley's history. There's a wall of shoes for bowlers with a spray bottle to disinfect the shoes before putting them back. The back room is where you'll find two bowling lanes with one area with all kinds of balls and two electronic boards to input each bowlers' names and for keeping score. There are TV screens on the wall nearby that call out spares, strikes, etc. You can even take a photo of your group from the screen that is projected onto the TV screen. The room has photos of U.S. Presidents and guests bowling throughout the decades and a few seats along the side. The space is pretty tight. The lanes themselves come with pins attached to strings. It's a nice, fun, and special bowling alley. If you get invited, more meetings to go!

It's 3/17 - might as well review LUCKY strike today!…read more I've been to this new location five times now! Yeah, I'm competitive so I've been going solo to ensure I can open a can of whoop when I need to. I wager on a few things and I'll always bet on me! (Smirk) With that said I was quite surprised in January to learn this was newly acquired and renovated. Same design but definitely upgraded. Monday-Thursday it's unlimited bowling so you'll find me here after happy hour somewhere! It's not bad $20 with those ugly shoes from 8 to close! I'm almost positive we've gone earlier and still got the unlimited deal. Food is great, for bar food! Drinks are always good. Definitely come! It's MUCH NICER! And MUSIC is great!

Came to this location for the first time with a group of friends. We took up one lane, played one…read moregame, and rented shoes. Total came out to approximately $16 for each person. Some of us also ordered food and drinks. What's Hot - Service. Pretty good. Shortly after we sat down, one of their staffers brought us a couple pitchers of ice water with glasses and straws for our group. She also took our orders for food and drinks. Something to be aware of, you cannot order food and drinks on the booth tablet. - Food. For a bowling alley, their food was surprisingly good. Someone in our group ordered a cheeseburger with fries, and someone else ordered their mozzarella bites and fries. Their fries are slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned just enough. All of us liked their fries. Their hot honey pizza had a good amount of cheese and pepperoni drizzled with hot honey. You could taste the sweetness and it was slightly spicy. Not a fan of the strawberry margarita, as I thought it was too tart. - Layout. The lanes are a decent size and has a u-shaped booth, which accommodates a fairly good number of people. Our group was 8 people and the booth accommodated all of us. There is room underneath the seats for you to put your shoes. Each side of the bench has a table. - Cost. To pay approximately $16 per person for one game, to include shoe rental is pretty good. Our group probably took about 2 hours to play one game. About a week before we came, I called ahead to ask about reservations. I've been informed that reservations are generally a good idea when there's a large group that wants to play several games, to include food and drinks. Their package specials tend to be geared towards that. That's why our group just walked in. I was told that earlier in the day tends not to be crowded. I recommend calling ahead to confirm depending on the day and time you plan on going. - Parking. There's a decent size parking lot at no cost, which is definitely helpful. What's Not - Cost. Drinks can be expensive. My husband ordered a hot honey pepperoni pizza (12 inches), which is approximately $17 and a pitcher of strawberry margarita for approximately $27. Pretty pricey for a pitcher of margarita. Pretty good value for the hot honey pizza and additional items that our group ordered. - Service. Orders for food and drinks were staggered during the time we were there. After a couple of us put in the first order, their staffer did not return to check in on us. As such, others had to be done at the food court. Something to be aware of- once you're set up, it's less likely than not for a staffer to return. - Acoustics. Bowling alleys are expected to be loud. Specifically, what our group did not like is that at one point, the music they played became extra loud, especially from the speakers that were right behind our booth. It's one thing to be loud. It's another thing to unnecessarily add to the noise. Final Answer Plan on coming back, but will be very mindful of the day and time.

Food: bar food, fried, unhealthy but party worthy Lane quality: the one we were originally assigned to #15 was not working and moved to 13 Service: check in and shoe service was great, but the lady at the bar was a little harsh speaking, given it was our first time there, I wasn't aware that WE HAVE TO order all of our drinks through our waiter, so I went to the bar ordered two drink drinks and was harshly told I cannot add it to my tab , so I walked away & ...:-( ... about 20min later the drinks were brought over by our waiter ‍ Price: we paid about $100 for 5 ppl for 1 lane of 2 he with shoes, and over $100 for a mixed platter with 4 drinks, not bad for the bowling part, a bit pricey for the food and drinks. Will return & hope to receive a better servive from the bar side.

Lane broke 6 times--for my party of 6 people we did six frames in 1.5 hrs. Almost every other lane was in use and working. They never moved us to unused lanes even though I had to walk up to the counter every time. EVEN AN EMPLOYEE who wasn't on the clock and playing in a lane next to us tried to help. 2. Constantly played highly sexual hip hop music videos even though there were tons of kids. 3. We ordered food but after it never came, we asked for a refund, were given 3 free game vouchers each and then we left. Never finished the 1st game. I love bowling, last summer I came all the time with a season pass. Same management and employees after 6 months, but it's just not a good bowling alley. It's meant for parties and food. Obviously very disappointed, not wanting to go back, but need to use the free games vouchers to make it worth the money we spent.

The location is a lovely, canal-side spot, with plenty of parking nearby and a very walkable area that makes arriving and lingering equally easy. Inside, there is loads of space for bowling and bocce, so the whole place feels lively without becoming chaotic. The food also held its own, which is not always guaranteed at a venue built for group fun. The flatbread pizzas and Caesar salad were both superb and kept everyone pleasantly satisfied. There were multiple bars, which helped the afternoon move along nicely, and the employees were exceptionally kind and attentive throughout. For a work event, it struck a very pleasing balance of organised, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable. Overall, Pinstripes made for a charming outing with enough space, food, and activity to keep the whole party happy indeed afterward.

Rest of the food was fine, nothing memorable but nothing bad. If you're just here to eat, it's decent. Drinks/Bar: Disappointing Bar service was really inattentive. Had to flag someone down multiple times and waited way too long between rounds. That said, Happy Hour pricing is a good deal if you can actually get a bartender's attention. Bowling: Frustrating Biggest letdown. The bowling machine broke down twice during our game. Took a while for staff to even come help, and when they finally got it running, they didn't extend our time to make up for it. We didn't even get to finish the game we paid for. Overall, food's decent and Happy Hour prices are nice, but the slow bar service and the bowling issues with zero resolution really soured the night. Not sure I'd rush back unless they improve the attentiveness and customer service when things go wrong.
