I would also say that the vintage selection is very reasonably priced for being curated vintage items... you really are paying for the organized eclectic curation of the fabulous owners. I ended up talking with one of the owners for quite some time... if you get the chance, make it a point to chat with her. I didn't catch her name but we got chatting for quite some time. Especially in pandemic times- having a nice, wholesome conversation with someone you don't know too well is quite rare. You can literally walk in and purchase everything on your Christmas list or shop for a certain someone. Talk about efficiency! Around Christmas, Luster has visual lists of gifts for certain people in your like on Instagram like "gift guide for travel" queen. This brings me back to the times we used to read magazines and find these lists there. The lists are very helpful! Year round, their website is very well organized and you can quickly find categories/gift personas. The gifts can also accommodate various budgets. Some items are as low as $12, plenty of options under $50. Apparel tends to be more pricey (around $60-200), and goes up to size L. I was hoping to find a gift bag or a box at Luster for an upcoming girls' Christmas gift exchange. I already have the gifts but need to package them. Surprisingly, the gift shop had no wrapping paper, boxes, bags, or anything for packaging. I was hoping for some unique designs and high quality. I feel like it would be a nice addition to any gifts purchased here. I also then found out that no other surrounding shops at Van Aken seem to have this based on a quick internet search. SERVICE: I didn't experience any service - no greeting and no offer of assistance. I found it quite impersonal. PARKING: There are multiple parking lots at Van Aken - surface lot and parking garage. I can see myself returning to shop for quick gifts in the future and utilizing gift lists. Next time I'll need more time to focus on the extensive inventory. Although to be honest, the lack of service during my visit would make me consider other boutiques around the area first.

Whereas you might expect a luxury boutique to carry mostly tiny sizes, I was pleasantly surprised at their range of sizes, styles and prices. Not everything was super expensive, though there were very expensive pieces. Every corner is impeccably curated and filled with beautiful, thoughtful items. Laura of Pembroke is newly on my list of places to visit when I need a gift or want to buy something for myself (you know, for when you get in that mood of just wanting to buy something for yourself). I love that they are in Pinecrest and nestled near other wonderful spots. I bought a beautiful, glitzy necklace from the sale section that I cannot wait to wear. I'll be back!

We ended up going in a different direction but not because of any failure on the store's part. My only complaint is that when we arrived, the door was locked even though it was during open hours. We knocked, and Nadeem let us in. Afterward, we went across the street for some coffee and saw another couple trying to go in, but Nadeem had already left. My first encounter with Nadeem was not just pleasant but like we had been good friends that hadn't seen each other in ages. He was warm and caring and walked me through the choices on the best way to fix my silk. He said it would take about 3-4 weeks since he does all repairs by hand... and it was exactly that time frame! I got a call and set up a time to pick up my rug. I was extremely pleased with the repair and the outcome. My rug is back out and being used as it was intended! I highly recommend stopping by his shop. Even if you are not quite ready to buy, Nadeem is knowledgeable and very friendly and comfortable to work with. Thank you Nadeem!!

I was drawn by the unique furniture displayed outside the store(mostly items usually seen on other discounted famous websites). When I walked in, there were 2 sales ladies extremely busy among and only among themselves so that they didn't even recognize me or my two daughters. There was nobody else in the store and the store is tiny. Even after awhile of looking around, they didn't even bother to say "hello may I help you". They didn't say a word. SNOB ALERT. I think the snob alert equated with the inflated price of the items they had in the store. They had a reclaimed wood dining table on sale for 2800.00, which I could have gone to Arhaus for a lot less even when not on sale. I just recently got an email flyer from Arhaus and theirs was around 1000.00 on sale(regular price was around 1500.00). They had some other single chairs that mimicked 70's velvet style fabric and was on sale for around 480.00. I later looked online at one of my favorite online stores and it was around 150.00. Needless to say, I will not be going back to purchase anything. If I did go back, it would probably be just to see how the products looked in real life that I saw online. However, having said that, if you like paying way over a product's value just so you could say you bought it at this store, then you should. Otherwise, shop around online or any other reputable stores and save your money for your children's education or anything else, and do not support inflated snobbery.

Wildlife Garden makes me want to buy a house with a huge yard, just so I can start a garden and decorate it. Some things I loved: + Beautiful little gifts. Of all types. I purchased the most adorable little pieces of art that had a small bird holding a sign that reads, "A little bird told me today will be beautiful." + Pet stuff that isn't tacky, especially the ceramic statues as well as the pet memorial items (which are very hard to find). + Unique garden decor. I adored the awesome solar-powered glass-blown(?) flowers that collect light during the day and light up at night. + Fun cards and they do beautiful, free gift-wrapping. You can do everything all at one time! + Gorgeous windchimes and another artisan decor. Just stop by with nothing in mind, and explore!
