They try to make it seem like its impossible to clean because it's 24 hours, when other gyms that charge less and have a bigger area can. It's a small area, there's no reason it should be that nasty. I've seen bugs plenty of times, the bathroom walls have smears everywhere, the floor and equipment is full of thick dust that makes me sneeze all the time. (I have pictures on several different days and several different areas of this filth, if they wanna try and lie). The only upsides to this gym are the 24/7 status and the variety of equipment. It's also not too crowded usually, but man that filthiness is insane. Gyms are already unsanitary, and for it to be that bad has to be a health hazard. You also have a ton of gross, sweaty men who get their sweat all over machines and don't clean them, and they never re-rack their weights. This is not necessarily their fault, but maybe if they enforced cleanliness and common courtesy more, it would not be an issue.

I've had a few private sessions with Joel, and wow, this guy is incredible. Lucky for me, he just opened this new studio in Snellville. For those who aren't too familiar with Pilates, it was invented by Joseph Pilates (From Germany), who was sick as a child and created his own physical training system to improve his strength. He later became a professional boxer and self-defense trainer and eventually moved to the USA and opened his own gym in NYC. Now, to my point--there are different styles of Pilates today, but the original form is called Classical Pilates. This is the one you want to do, and Vitality Method Studio focuses solely on the Classical Pilates Method based on Joseph Pilates' techniques and scientific-based exercises (Physical Therapists use these exercises as well). Coming here, I didn't know much about Pilates and wasn't sure how intense the workout would be. You really work your entire body with these exercises, with the main focus on building core strength, correcting posture, and aligning the body. If you're a guy like me, you might think this stuff is easy, but these exercises are exactly what your body needs. Joel is very professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and also teaches other instructors. He knows his craft, having taught Pilates for 25 years and worked as a fitness trainer for 31 years. He's an awesome guy, and I would highly recommend this place for anyone--moms, dads, professional athletes, everyone. What I like is that the sessions you do with him are based on where you are currently, so everything is custom to you. An hour or so after I book my class, I get a call from Kelcie who very rudely claims that I am not a member and I will be charged 40 dollars if I don't provide her with local mail on my arrival. Red flag #1 I called home to my local gym, and they assured me that all classes at all locations are included. I attended the class, and was charged a no show fee by kelcie to my card on file. After asking kelcie if this was ethical or legal, she had a full on meltdown and proceeded to tell me that it was "her gym, her rules." I think kelcie is confused at the fact that she just works there, and does not in fact own orange theory. Each location is individually owned, and allows for these kind of discriminatory, unscrupulous, and unethical practices to go unchecked. If you love orange theory, be sure to join a location that values your money and membership. Luckily for me, I am not local to this location.
