WorkOne Indiana is a public resource for unemployed or under employed Indiana residents. Whether you're filing an unemployment insurance benefit or need job training, there are multiple options to assist you in obtaining gainful employment. Employees are there to greet you and walk you through the process, beginning with an intake orientation and interview, to Learning Events that focus on literacy, interview techniques, resume building, computer basics, Veteran opportunities, High School Equivalency and more. They host weekly Job Fairs with employers every Wednesday, with on the spot interviews. Indy Career Connect is their online source for job searching and uploading your resume so employers can find you. One located in various offices around Indianapolis, WorkOne is now a combined effort in their new location as of January 2019. The intention of the service center is good, however it is literally impossible to get someone on the phone if you need anything done. Like I said the staff means well but either the state isn't giving enough resources or there isn't enough funding in training. It should not be difficult to reach someone especially when there are people in the building from open to close. I spent 2 hours on hold and even went to the building while still on hold and was told to call the exact number I was on hold with...the staff is mostly nice and as helpful as they can be but things can be ran much better. read more

My appointment was at 2:00pm.... I was here till after 5:00 waiting to be seen.. I get it's busy but there needs to be a better system. Ridiculous. Wasted 3 hours of my day to do absolutely nothing. This place is a joke. read more
