After looking 5+years and working with the same local dealer we decided now was the time for our…read morenew boat! Unfortunately that dealer thought we were suckers and would buy whatever "deal" they handed us. They flat out lied about prices and "cutting commissions" just for us. We almost gave in, then decided maybe this just wasn't our year. Then we found Vance's. What an amazing experience!! We spoke with Scott and Trey over email and phone calls and they were so incredibly nice! They are 3 hours from us, so we didn't want any surprises. They were detailed and informative every step of the way. We bought our boat, sight unseen and headed out to pick her up. But there were surprises....Mark and Hunter! My goodness....such incredible people! We had a small hiccup with our trailer but everything came out perfectly. Hunter made us feel as if we were family and helped us get all our necessary gear for our first ever boat. Mark!! How we wish we could have brought him home for private lessons (and a day on the lake! )! He took us out on Buckeye Lake and introduced us to our new boat, no rush, took whatever time we needed. The one thing about all 4 of the men we worked with is that no one made us feel stupid for knowing very little about boating. They answered every question without judgement. I wish they were closer, they were a wealth of information and felt like friends we've known forever by the time we left. Thank you Scott, Trey, Hunter and Mark for all of your help and your excellent service. We hope to someday see you all again. Steve and Natasha Schwartz

Visiting my friend in WV, he asked me to help him pick up a smoker. I'm from NJ, so Sportsman's…read moreWarehouse was a bit of a culture shock. This is not a NJ Dick's we're talking about. It's a big store with so much outdoor stuff. Gold mining equipment, camping, fishing. Along with hunting and the biggest collection of firearms I've ever seen, from airsoft and BB guns to pistols, shotguns, and more. My friend got such a great deal on the smoker that we thought they made a mistake at the register. Nope, just a great deal.

Love being able to order online and pickup in store! Online purchases takes about 4 or 5 days normally to arrive for pickup if not in stock (in stock the same day or next). Firearms are more than competitively priced - in most cases $20 lower than competitors. There are a lot of firearms to choose from with a good selection of calibers. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Not into firearms or hunting? They have a lot of quality camping supplies and fishing equipment. Check them out! I highly recommend Sportsman's Warehouse in Morgantown, WV.

The problem is the inattentive staff who really don't care if you buy anything or not. We walked in and were basically ignored by all staff. Too busy on their phones and just standing around shooting the breeze. Felt awkward as soon as we entered because of this. Tried to strike up a conversation with one of the staff but was just meh. Was going to buy a suspension fork, crankshaft, and whatever else I could for my new bike build but we just left because it didn't feel like our business mattered. As much as I'd prefer to support a local business, I need that business to care just as much about me and its own business as I do. Sadly, I doubt we'll go back. No real reason to drive 25 to 30 minutes to be ignored. I can get the same level of customer service online since it was hands off, impersonal, and cold. Sad to have to leave such a bleak review because I was hoping to build a relationship with a bike shop near my new hometown.

First and foremost, they have clean restrooms. As you enter the store, you are greeted by one of their many greeters. No sneaking into the bathroom without someone saying "Hi" to you. They have lots of stuff on display. The aquariums were great to look at with the various fish on display. They had the African safari area. They have lots of fishing and hunting clothes and supplies for sale. They know how to prolong your pit stop. It's a great place to stop at. The only thing they didn't have were West Virginia refrigerator magnets for crazy road trip tourists like me. After leaving, I found a Kohl's around the corner. Cabela's is much better than Kohl's anytime!
