So here I was again, since they only have very select hours, I brought another girlfriend to paint…read moresome ceramics , we got there at exactly 12:00pm when they opened, she picked something to paint for herself to put out for the holidays, and YES I did another Christmas gift, this time for my sons girlfriend. As always Mrs,Kelly was an spectacular. Help for me and my girlfriend. This time we brought a large bottle of wine and had a nice time, but have to return to finish our project. With being open for only 4 hours just isn't enough time. I will be going with another friend on Saturday to pick another project as a gift... I won't finish todays project until I go back with my one girlfriend. I seem to like to pick ceramics that you can put a tea light candle in, so it gives it an extra effect. Here is a picture of what I was working on today, just realize not completed. And after it's fired and glazed, it comes out so much darker and shiny.

Check them out on Facebook. They collaborate with M & M Floral, who makes beautiful wooden flower creations. They have classes where you can create your own ceramic with wooden flowers inside. I went to a recent St. Patty's Day class and had a blast. Can also BYOB. There is plenty of parking in the lot outside. Check it out!

The staff is super helpful and friendly and everything is included in the price so you only pay for the pottery and can sit and paint for hours and use any color of paint you want. The negative: Every manager and/or assistant manager we have encountered here for over many years has been rude in their interactions with us. Answers to our queries are short and without a smile or pleasant comments. They've also not acknowledged us as customers if the associate has a question regarding our items at checkout. Very surprising that a Christian company would consistently employ miserable people in the managerial position. What kind of an example are they to the public of a joyful follower of Christ? And if they aren't a Christian, perhaps Hobby Lobby should be reconsidering who they hire to represent their company.

I participated in a hand-building pottery workshop at my local library. While the class was fun,…read moreand I loved the shape of the piece that I made, I am beyond disappointed with the final result. The night of the class we were provided with underglaze to color the pieces but the glazing was done by the owner, Paulina, in the weeks after the class. My piece is glazed so poorly that I will never be able to use it. The clear glaze was applied so sparingly that you can feel the texture of the clay across the entire piece. The top rim of my vessel was left with no noticeable glaze at all and is so rough I can use it as a nail file. Because there are unglazed surfaces that would come in contact with food it is rendered completely useless for anything. I hope this review encourages the owner to treat her students' pieces with a little more care so that they will want to return and take more classes or book their own pottery experiences.
