We got up bright and early to get tickets then walked and explored the town. We got to the busy corner of Broadway and Hill Road, I was a bit overwhelmed due to the volume of people in the tiny town for the Autumn Leaf Train, looked to my right, saw Hooked On Yarn and felt relief. I love crocheting, it is what brings me peace and balance; my boyfriend doesn't have a clue as to what to do with yarn, but came with me regardless. We walked into a quiet, beautifully laid out and decorated store, with the kindest greeting from the owner. We quickly struck up conversation with the sweet lady and talked like we were neighbors. She explained her business, helped me pick out the amount of yarn I'd need and talked to us about the town. There is a wide variety of yarns, patterns and tools around. The quality of the yarn is very nice and her prices are very good. Overall, it was a peaceful break from the busy streets outside, a great place to find new yarns, a new place for a friendly and warm conversation and I would recommend it to anyone visiting.

I needed a craft store to complete my project and with a quick search this was closest. I knew…read morewhat I needed, but was unsure of where to find it when I first got here. I kind of wondered in here to areas I thought the items I needed would have been. Gave me time to look over things that I had no intentions of buying. I was looking for a clear plastic bag to put my project in. I finally found the area where all these items should have been, but to my surprise there were no bags on the racks. So I had to make a decision on whether to forgo it, or just make up something and go with it. I did that latter obviously since I wasn't from the area. I made my way through the store to find materials to help me figure out how to make it work. Luckily for me, I was able to find everything I needed and made my way to the register. It was fairly simple here. Put my stuff up, get ignored by the employee, huffed at and then head for the door. Thanks for making me do some work!
