Used them for Board and Train of my two dogs. Upon talking to Michael I informed him that due to my husband's accident and my health we were not able to train the dogs ourselves. He assured me that the obedience that they needed that they would get through their board and train program. This was to include basic commands especially ''Quiet" and "Come". Due to my husbands injury he can't have the dogs barking all the time. They were also to address the issues of separation anxiety and reacting to other dogs on walks. They took both dogs for 2 weeks together. Very little communication even though he stated there would be lots of updates. After 2 weeks he said they needed to train them alone because they weren't doing well together. So they took 1 dog for another 2 weeks while we took one home. Then we switched. After we got our first dog back from all training it had been 4 weeks total they had her at their facility. Upon getting her home right off the bat she was not any better. My husband took her to the Saturday class directly following as we were stated to do. She did fine in the Saturday class among other dogs who were all well behaved. However, once he got her home again she still had her same problems. Which are: reacting to other dogs on walks, reacting to people in our home, separation anxiety, not coming when called and constant barking. I took her to the next Saturday class and again she did fine. This is because all the dogs were behaved well. But once again I got her home and she reacted to other dogs who would bark at her or people in our home. Then we got our other dog back. Again very little to no improvement. I was so frustrated because we paid A LOT of money and did not get the training we were told. Due to my health it took me a while but I finally reached out to Michael and told him our problems. He offered to board them again for a week. Um, no I'm not giving you my dog again for a week when you couldn't train her in a month. My kids had a hard enough time the first time. So he offered to meet with me. At first I said yes. But then I realized I paid for them to be trained already. I'm sorry but I no longer trust your training methods if you can't help them in 4 weeks!!! If I paid anyone else for a service that did not give me the results they said it would then I am not going to trust them. So I asked for a partial refund. He said he would talk to "the board" (not sure who that is) and let me know. That was over a month ago and I still haven't heard back. I decided to go to another trainer. Someone who actually understands dogs and people. He came and in 1 day (1 day!) both of our dogs were doing SOOOO much better. The new trainer trained with us and both of our dogs for 1 hour per day over 2 weeks. And it worked. Because he is a good dog trainer. He was able to train both dogs when Michael wasn't. He was able to do it in 2 weeks. Michael wasn't. He was on time, professional and 1/4 of the price. He also guaranteed his work. Michael didn't. Michael is a nice guy. But not a good dog trainer. They also offer no refunds. Don't go here. If you need a good dog trainer go to ARK-9. Arturo understands how dogs think and can help. According to Michael it is our fault for not bringing our dogs to the mandatory 4 Saturday classes following the boarding. We did 2 classes with one dog with no improvement. I should see SOME improvement with 4 weeks at boarding and 2 Saturday. So no I'm not going to continue to waste my time. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with Working Dogs for Warriors. I attended classes with my dog and she did very well. Everyone who works at this school is extremely well trained and very kind and loving with the dogs. The dogs get tons of individual attention from the trainers. My dog and I have also trained one on one with Joe Sanchez. What an excellent trainer. My dog, Doby is so excited to see him and work with him. He is gentle and loving to the dogs. Love this place!!! I'm so excited I found them! The trainers are amazing! They are knowledgeable, patient and very hands on with both dogs and owner. I had to stop trying my boxer Bronx for a year due to medical issues I was having and when went in and spoke with Mike about what trading Bronx had already had and what I wanted from continued training, Mike knew exactly what class to start us at in to get us going in the direction we want to head in. We hired Working Dogs for Warriors to train our 5-month old Goldendoodle for 3-week board and train. Our puppy came back well trained and demonstrated great skills that he lacked prior to training. He learned to sit, stay, heel, follow, wrong, off, about. We attended the 4 Saturday classes after, and those were helpful as well. Overall, we are satisfied with the results. I wish I could give them more stars, however, I do have to mention the lack of communication involved during the whole process. Prior to taking our puppy, there was very little information given to us about what to expect. I was very close to canceling the whole thing because I was feeling very apprehensive about letting our puppy go for so long without any information. Mike takes long to reply to texts which I find very unprofessional. However, I did receive some photo updates while my puppy was gone. When the day came to pick him up, we were ready to go to their Fontana location, but only to find out we were supposed to go to the Rancho location. He never told us where to go. But anyway, when I picked up my puppy, I was happy to see all he had learned. We were given a prong collar and brand new leather leash. Mike mentioned he would email me a letter with all the commands and instructions for training at home-- it took days to get it and I had to follow up twice with Mike about sending me the information. We went 4 days with no guidance on training at home! Overall, although the training was great, I found myself pretty frustrated with his lack of communication. If you decide to use Working Dogs for Warriors for board and train, please be aware that you won't hear from him much and he probably won't reply to some of your texts. For example, I reached out to Mike on October 2nd to ask about their pet hotel and I have yet to receive a reply. Again, very unprofessional to just leave customers hanging. One last thing I want to mention is that although I gave them specific feeding instructions for my growing puppy (3x/day) on their portal, they only fed him 2 times per day the whole time he was there. :-( Hope this reviews is helpful as I feel honesty is best. I have a rescue German shepherd, she has the basics down but she grew up isolated before I found her so she is a little skittish about socializing, fact is she scares people so I was hoping to find a class that forced her to be in closer proximity to other dogs and people, Matt and Mike are perfect for that I've only been to a couple classes and the progress has been phenomenal, I only planned to go to 1or 2 classes but I'm going to sign up for a series and probably canine good citizens class, they're methods are extremely effective and the results have been astonishing. Mike has helped me and my family out a lot. Last August I was donated a service dog in training by this program and since then they have helped us flourish as a service dog team. If I have any problems I always know that I can call up Mike and other people in the service dog program and that we will get through it together. I was having issues with leash reaction with my dog, but those issues are no more! I did the group training which made training through the problem much faster since there were so many dogs and stimuli which was my dogs trigger.
