I'm writing this review because I dropped my Tahoe/Avalon pontoon off at North Point Watersports…read morefor diagnosis and repair of a fuel delivery problem on JULY 11th 2024, and 4 months later they still haven't repaired the boat. I chose North Point because my boat and motor are under warranty and it may have been an issue that they could complete under warranty. Although I did not purchase my boat from North Point they stated they could do the warranty work as appropriate. As it turns out they said the problem was caused by faulty fuel that they said corrupted the VST on the outboard and would not be covered by warranty which I understand. However, 4 months is way too long to have a boat in any shop for a repair estimated at 4 hours total and no ETA for when they can have it fixed. Given my experience with North Point, I wouldn't be surprised to see a response to this review with more excuses or blame since they haven't taken ownership. Anyone considering purchasing a boat from North Point Watersports may want to consider the ability of this shop to effectively and efficiently provide service support following the sale. 10/22/2024 UPDATE: Today I picked up my boat from North Point still not running after they had it FOUR months. The only way I was able to get to this point was by filing a consumer complaint with the NC DOJ at https://ncdoj.gov/file-a-complaint/consumer-complaint/ Subsequently I dropped it off at another dealer who committed to having it running within two weeks or sooner

Top Knotch Boat Repair and Alice were extremely responsive and very helpful in getting me quote and scheduling a cleaning appointment for me. I ultimately decided to refurbish the carpet and seats etc so did not need the service just yet. Easy to cancel and reschedule for next year. Just nice people to work with. I can only review the Marina based upon filling up for gas, concessions, and restroom access. As far as gas, well gas for boats is, naturally, pricey and it cost around $97 to fill up slightly more than 3/4 of the tank. It is self-service and then you can pay inside once you are done pumping. They have about 3 or 4 slips available to dock for gas. Concessions here are very limited. Unlike some marinas, there is no sit-down food option. The only food options here are ice cream bars and bags of chips. There are cold drinks (water, soda, gatorade) and a minimal selection of cold beer to take with you. They sell some merchandise and also some fishing accessories. The bathrooms are relatively clean (single-stall) and located inside. If you just need a quick pit-stop, there is nothing wrong with Long Island Marina!
