Art on King have all your Art and stationary needs from paints, brushes, pens (what an artist would expect). They also have an extensive range of beautiful large sheets of paper, from delicate embossed papers to Nepalese paper. Also as I am seeing more often, they have a unique range of wrapping paper which would be much better suited as a wall hanging than wrapped around a box, particular note should be made of the human skeletal diagram paper and mushroom paper.

The main focus is acting, and the various types or sub-categories, but they do others, such as singing. You can study full time, part time, do a short course (8 weeks, for example), or even just do a drop-in class for one night, to see what it's all about. If you've never done anything like this before, I'd recommend the drop-in classes. They're very confortable classes that even the most basic beginner can feel comfortable to explore acting in. I've just started an 8-week singing course, and being quite scared of my own voice, I was unsure how comfortable I'd feel. But I needn't have worried; they accomodate for every skill level in a comfortable happy environment. If you are driven to achive a certain level, you may find that the courses are a little slow-paced, but I suppose you can try to control what you achieve by pushing yourself a little further. The tutors are great, the venue is really cool, and the place has a great reputation. A great environment!

I really love this place for many reasons, but probably mostly for their drop in classes.... they have improvisation classes and acting for camera classes and with new teachers and students each week, every experience will be different. Classes cost $30, but because they're drop in there's no commitment beyond the 2 hours.... Rumour has it a few days after Geoffrey Rush won his Oscar he was back here taking a drop in class.... so if it's good enough for that Oscar winner, it's good enough for me!
